My people as we dey talk about government approach towards bitcoin and cryptocurrency adoption in Nigeria, we still have some bad actors who are creating bad images for the Nigeria cryptocurrency space, auch as those that use cryptocurrency for investment fraud, most times those frauds are not carried out by Nigerians, but by foreigners who make use of our free Internet space to build a cyber criminal network.

Just recently 5 Chinese sentence to prison for cryptocurrency investment fraud.

This is a wake up call for us to open our eye and educate out Nigerian people on the way and secured means to make bitcoin a d other cryptocurrency investment.

Before now, Nigerians have been blacklisted as the nost scamming country, but investigations is now revealing the real identity of most of the scamers that are perpetrating all those Internet fraud abd alot is being pit in to checkmate the extents that this foreigners have penetrate into our Internet space via identity fraud.

I opened the news to read details on how the scam happened but everything written there are so much for me to read without reports hitting the main point. Cyberterrorism but in what way, what were their demand and how they attempt the scam. More informations from the scene will help individuals know what scam it is and detect when something like that is about to happen.

You are totally right but from whatvu have seen ao far, EFCC have been much active with arrest of cyber crimess because of umUS involvement in investigation and tracking of scammers.

Nigerians are always known for noise if not there are many foreign countries that are seriously more into scams than Nigeria, but sadly we are been placed globally as scammers, Nigerians always do things noticeably but they can never be compared to other countries most especially Asian countries like India, North Korea China and its neighboring countries. If you look at most of the scams committed by the Nigerian nationals you will always see foreigners included in them.

It’s surprising to me why they choose to come stay in Nigeria and do these things and I don’t know if the law permits those foreigners to be sentenced to prison but I think there is absolutely more to these stories and this news also reminds me of how my elder bro was scammed of two thousand dollar about two years ago and it was a Chinese guy in the video call before the transaction and it’s truly a wake up call to us to take our digital safety very serious and not even trust anyone even after a video call because they might just be after your money.

What's the cause of this current situation of this country? Everyone wants to make easy clean money and they forget easily the parable about huge money doesn't come clean. We understand the present predicament of the country, how we've suffered and been unable to get through legitimate information. I'm just bitter about the rate of scamming increases in the country. These Chinese are sentenced just for a year? I don't think the sentencing is fair, because if Nigerians were the ones involved, the sentencing would have been very lengthy and cruel. But for foreigners, they're tempering justice with every touch of mercy? I don't think this country is ready to move forward.
