S19K PRO WRONG HASHCHIP REVISION ERROR

Hello. I recently purchased a new S19k Pro. I used it without any issues with the original firmware for the first two days. Then I installed the VNish firmware and it worked fine for about three more days. One evening, I shut it down, and the next day when I turned it back on, the machine didn’t work. There was an error on one of the hashboards. VNish reported an error saying that on Hashboard 3, 76 out of 77 chips were found. I read that no-pic miners operate this way on faulty hashboards. When I disconnected the faulty hashboard, the remaining two worked without any problems.

Then I thought maybe BrainOS would work, so I installed it. However, BrainOS gave the following error:

Tuner error: disabled hasboard 3 (hb3) (errl1) unexpected revision of chip 0 ( expected 0x1366 received:0x1346 )

I1 error: wrong hashchip revision for this model
Hint: the chips either sent garbage( temporary error), or the hashboard is npt supported , or the hasboard was misidentified by bosminer. Try to restart the miner.try to replace the hasboard.

When I removed the board and checked, there was no visible physical damage. And according to BrainOS, this chip is not compatible. But if it's not compatible, how did it work previously? Unfortunately, there’s no one in Turkey who repairs hashboards.

I heard that BrainOS has a setting that bypasses this error and continues supplying voltage to the board. If I enable that setting, could the hashboard continue to operate with the remaining functional chips? What do you suggest i do?

I don't think you can disable that 1 chip on Vnish or in Braiins OS but you can manually overclock those chips from auto tuning to manual.
There's no way that you can disable it because a series connection.

About the error incompatibility, maybe the hashboard has a PIC. You need to physically check the hashboard if it has a MOSFET and PIC chip onboard. If it has, then that's not compatible for s19k pro.

İts definitely no pic board. As I already mentioned, it was working fine before. If I could manage to get the board detected, I would completely disable the voltage to that chip. I'm following the instructions on BrainOS, but I still haven’t succeeded. I access the miner through the command line using ssh root@miner.ip, but commands like cd /etc from the guide don’t work — I’m wondering if it’s because I’m using Windows? Also, I’m curious: if I manage to supply voltage to the board, will the chips and frequencies appear in the software?

I don't think if that's because of your OS since you are just burning the firmware into the SD or TF card.


How about trying the slightly lower version of Braiins? Downgrade it a bit, or try other lower versions from this link below. Since you said it's a compatibility issue, there might be something from that firmware that does not support the latest version.
