Why the strange op_return messages hours before the coins were moved?

yes it doesn't sound pretty good and links seems not accesible at least to me.

edit: address sold after cashout?
anyway the link is for an hacked website? just a strange marketing campaign? fake ads for "recovering keys"?

The OP_Return was sent to hundreds of old addresses.

Best case scenario is this owner of the 80K coins got spooked and moved his coins.

My guess is this is another holiday FUD scheme to induce panic and drop the price.

I agree.  Feels off.  July 4th very symbolic.  Someone sending a message.   Wink

It is stated that the sequence of number 4,8,15,16,23 is synonymous with a character in lost
Likely trying to show that the keys was lost or something.

Now 80K worth has being moved. Which is barely 50% of the wallet.

I think there are post moving around about an Op_RETURN for validation of ownership or something.
