how long should monero blockchain sync usually take in exodus desktop wallet?

I started syncing monero blockchain in exodus desktop wallet 24.2.12, hours later when I returned the computer had restarted on its own.
Exodus still syncing with monero blockchain, I can't send xmr out of it unless it's sync. how long should this normally take?
What should i do, the deadline is August 10th.

And try to do this on both desktop and mobile wallet and see if you manage to get it to work. If not, you have to reach out to the support.

I wouldn't really worry much about the "deadline" though. Given that it's a non-custodial wallet, you should be able to use the seedphrase and recover the wallet into another wallet.

Why use Exodus wallet there are lots of users having issue using that wallet since before.

If it's Monero, I'd recommend exporting the private key from Exodus and use Cake Wallet, which has a desktop and mobile version. Import the private key into CakeWallet and test if you can make a Monero transaction. The syncing process, based on my experience, takes 5 to 10 minutes, so it won't take too long if you switch to this wallet. And I suggest once you have access to your funds, transfer them immediately to a new wallet because, for me, Exodus isn't safe to use.

Since you're worrying that much, you should consider exporting your Exodus' Monero wallet's mnemonic seed.
If somehow your sync didn't make it, you can import that to other clients.

Depends on the wallet's creation date and the specs of your machine.

There's actually a menu button with 3 dots in exodus and under advanced options it that told me so far 2% sync it appears stuck on that after a few minutes, and over 300K blocks to go.

Yes, I don't see why it would not. This would help you recover all of your assets (if you have any) and not just Monero. But if this is a wallet you have been using for a long time, I would personally feel more comfortable creating a new wallet in Feather, and recover this one... and then send the recovered one to the new wallet you created.

That should be compatible with almost every Monero clients, including Feather.
Just select the correct options when restoring: "Restore wallet from...->Seed->25 word mnemonic seed".

You should export it from Exodus now for backup purposes but only import it to Feather or other client once you're out of option.
But take note that it can't be done with a hardware wallet.

For now, try to solve that stuck sync issue.
Start with refreshing your Monero network sync in: "Monero wallet->(3 dots menu)->Refresh Network".

Not your wallet's backup 12-word BIP39 seed,
Use the 25words from your monero wallet export, the tutorial to export it is in their official documentation (check the link in my previous reply).
Make sure to follow the written warnings about the security of that export.
