Hello admins,

I’m requesting an account recovery for my old Bitcointalk account: **Nitro001**.

- I registered it around 2011 and was very active back then (reading, writing, playing forum games).
- I no longer have access to the original email (**nitro001@net.hr**), but it is still linked to my Facebook account, which I’ve had since 2011.
- Here is a screenshot proving that the same email is still connected to my Facebook: [Upload image on imgur or similar]

I do not remember the exact password, and I can't receive emails at net.hr anymore. However, I am confident I can prove ownership with additional information if required (style of writing, topics I engaged in, timestamps, IP address from Mostar, etc.)

Please let me know what the next steps are. I’d really appreciate your help.

You need to follow steps in this thread: Recovering hacked/lost accounts

If you can't access your e-mail and if you haven't signed a Bitcoin address from that account before, the chances of recovering your account are slim.

I don't see any account with the specified username on Bpip, and I also used the search option here, can't find anything. Are you sure that's the username of the account that you are trying to recover?

And the usual way of claiming the ownership of an account is by signing a message from an address you posted in an unedited post.

It is the search result from BPIP for all possible users with nitro in usernames.

From the list of possible users, I see no account with high rank that needs to spend time for recovery. If OP lost a low rank account and now has no access to past used and also publicly posted in the forum as proof of ownership for account recovery, it's time to forget about recovery and move next with a new account. It is like creating an account with username that you don't like to use later, you can simply abandon it and use a new one.

I hope the OP's Facebook account doesn't contain much real data, otherwise he's doxing himself here. On the other hand, it is not clear to me how he can manage that Facebook account if he does not have access to email. The moment he is logged out he will not be able to log in again. Unless he has added another email.

That is definitely possible to do. You can have many emails linked to Facebook at once. Maybe it was a  recovery email or something.

Either way, it looks like something the account recovery team can help with, as there is evidence that demonstrates that OP has access to some form of contact information linked with the account, even indirectly.

The thing is, I created this Facebook account, and now I can’t even delete it because I no longer have the password for the email address linked to it. It’s very hard to recover the password because the Net.hr domain barely works anymore, if at all.

Back in the period from 2009 to 2013, that was my only email address, and I used it to create my profile here on BTF. I remember very well spending many nights on the forum, reading and exploring.

I will try to find my old hard drive or somehow recover the password for my Net.hr email, so I can log in to my original account. I even think there’s a possibility that I might find some BTC there. It’s been a long time, but it’s worth


I added my phone number to the Facebook account and it’s also linked to my fingerprint.
I think the last time I changed the password was around 4–5 years ago, when the Xiaomi Mi 10 came out, and the account has stayed on that phone ever since.
I can’t delete it or do anything with it now because I don’t have the password.
But I’ll try to remember it somehow — I’d really love to be able to log into my old account.

Bro, first things first, you need to specify your Bitcointalk username, because, as said by other users above, we aren't even able to find your account.

Since you mentioned that your account was from 2011, I could only find these two accounts that are the closest to that time:

1. nitrox - (Member - 136 posts, 136 activity) Registered: June 07, 2012, 11:50:45 PM
2. nitro - (Brand New - 0 posts, 0 activity) - Registered: September 16, 2012, 05:11:14 PM

So, is your account among the above? If not, then you probably don't even remember if your account had a "nitro" in it, because the oldest accounts with that word in them are mentioned above.

It looks like you asked a chatbot how to write a recovery request, but didn't bother to read it's output.

Can you please post the link of your account so we can see what the exact account is? Can you remember if you have posted any Bitcoin address that's still unedited? Can you please sign a message from that address? To recover your account, it's very important to have your original mail address access and Bitcoin signed message. So it will be easier to recover your account. In your situation, if you don't have both, it will be quite impossible to access your account.

But still you can follow the recovery procedure that was posted by forum staff. There is no alternative to recover your account at all. I don't feel Facebook would help in that case, but it fully depends on the forum admins. It's quite surprising you haven't linked your profile link.

Just like other users, i have confirmed that the username you provided does not exist in bitcointalk.org except it is among the deleted profiles because i saw a statistics of deleted profiles on bpip.org

If there existed, an account name "Nitro001", regardless of the casing, you wouldn't have been able to register a new account currently in the forum with the same name as you did. My advice is, you should first try to determine exactly what the username of your old account was before you start the recovery process.

Obviously, there is no profile as such OP has provided here, but OP could not provide a profile link, which could have made it much easier to locate and that would be a big challenge for op because he should be able to have or locate his profile so as to get the link while presenting it here for followup. Maybe OP should present something factual that can relate to the request for account recovery and also a bit convincing to account ownership.

The OP has some memory lapses, as you are right, it is difficult to create an account with the same nickname. Reading his version, it seems that he could not only forget the nickname but also mix up the forums where he was previously registered. Check if such a nickname exists on the Internet, which means there are other places where the OP successfully participated many years ago. The stories about the approximate age of registration indicate that he does not know his nickname; otherwise, it would be an exact date.

It looks like you asked a chatbot how to write a recovery request, but didn't bother to read it's output.

He failed to follow the AI script and uploaded the imgur link in the wrong place.  

OP the chances of you getting your account back is very slim if you can't even remember your username to start with.

Maybe you're just about to learn this crucial aspect form this forum, whereby you will be told on the negative sides of using a centralized service or platform to safe your private login credentials, such storages like google drive and password loggers are not truly safe, once these platforms are inaccessible, you had no alternative or choice than to embrace the consequence in them, while on this forum, you can be thought on how to avoid such uses.

Its not about how far, but how well, you just have to get a means of recovering your forum account back, just follow the link form the first reply to your thread and do the needful for your chances of getting it back.

I have three observations;

• As I always say, the first step to recovering your account is being able to know the lost or stolen account, attach the url to the topic you created. Now it is even difficult to know the account you want to recover.
• Your topic title seems not to be the best idea. The topic title should give the forum users 100% clue what the topic is all about

I wasn't registered on this forum by that time you mentioned but I'm sure that this place was not shortened as BTF. I thought you said the use of the Net.hr email might not be in existence so it will be pointless going to search for it. Thirdly, you can easily get help if you can remember your username with which you registered because it's clear that it's not "Nitro001 else it would have popped up on Bpip.
Also, how can you find BTC on your forum account? I thought it's a forum account we're trying to recover and not a wallet. 🤔

I guess its maybe a waste of time here about to try to look at an Account that dosent exist here on the Forum !
Or its attempt to get an Account back that was sold back in the days.

If the Account Recovery Team dosnt find something i guess that the chances 0 to get it back if that Account exist.
At least it should be no problem for him to remember the Account name normaly.
