IMO, selective targeting is not good. We can't impose our own version of morality on a completely different set of people, who who have traditions dating back thousands of years. Cockfighting is part of tradition and indigenous culture in certain parts of Asia. It is up to those ethnic groups to decide whether to continue with the tradition or not. Though, It is different using an animal, like a bull or an ox to work in a farm, or using a donkey to transport loads in rural zones in countries which are not industrialized. On the other hand, using animals for the sake of entertainment, to make them fight until death is a completely different thing, because in the first case, in order for the animal to function as a tool to work the land it needs to be healthy and be taken care of its health and needs. Even if online gambling is completely banned, it will not solve any problems. As practice shows, when governments begin to strictly control a certain area, it simply goes underground. Any update though on the case? the last report that I read is that several bones have been found already and it says it's human bone. Does the authority was able to connect it to the missing men? And how long does it take to identify the DNA? This is a high profile case so I expect the police to really pushing hard so that they can really arrest those men that are involved?
