I would rather trust a random dog on a street than Elon Musk with doing anything.
He is liar and a clown, same a Trump, and people should not fall for any of their circus show.
Don't believe for a second Musk will adopt Bitcoin instead of fiat.
he has lied about a lot of things and this is just one of his lies in other to get vote from the Bitcoin community, Elon musk is now a politician and business man and his using politics to expand him self more, now his having issues with trump because trump is not playing to his teams and conditions and now his against him, he said that trump is the best choice but now his saying his not anymore.
Elon musk is a lier and no body should follow such a person

Musk goes political: forms party to support BTC, rejects fiat

Elon Musk launched the America Party, positioning it as a pro-Bitcoin, anti-fiat alternative to the existing political system.

Trump criticized the move, accusing Musk of fueling political chaos.

Trust politicians at your own risk! One thing I am certain about is that these politicians will keep using Bitcoin to gain the popularity they so crave until it gets to the point where they all lose their credibility and no one gives a fuck anymore about their stance on Bitcoin. However, for now, let them ride the wave and help more with the mass adoption of Bitcoin.

I don't want to know how they are going to do it, but it can't work, for the bitcoin to go into political system, it's not possible, forget about the way they are investing in it and how they re carrying news around the media about their reserve in bitcoin, it can't be centralized, bitcoin has been made for everybody in such a way that when adopted, it becomes an individual or personal discretion on how to engage for it use where necessarily applicable.

Bitcoin is a decentralized digital currency for privacy and freedom but politicians are leveraging on it's adoption and popularity to use it's influence for political gains. Remember that during the last US presidential campaigns Trump, became Bitcoin friendly to get the massive votes of Bitcoin enthusiasts. Elon Musk, can do the same thing with Bitcoin to gain popularity for his party because a lot of young people are crypto oriented.

Bitcoin can just be a means to an end for this politicians, their public affiliation to it might just be majorly for political purposes. Bitcoin don't need to be in politics or have politicians singing it's praise for it to keep reaching ATH. Satoshi had already put all the mechanisms in place for it to be the number one currency and asset in the world.

Many countries mostly the advance countries now using bitcoin to support their parties and candidates. Recently, Elon Musk who supported Donald Trump in the recent concluded general election in America last year which brought Trump to Power had a clashed (dispute) with Trump and and left the party (Republican) and formed his own political party and according to information I got, the party is to support Bitcoin.
Reading Trump or Elon Musk in a Bitcoin context annoys me more than anything, those guys are pretenders, they are only using Bitcoin to gain more popularity. Is there a new thing more popular than Bitcoin in this present dispensation? That is why they are always aligning with Bitcoin for their selfish gains.

If he likes, he should accept Bitcoin in his Ignoble party, but the true community of Bitcoin is what I appreciate, and not the desperate people like Musk.

You're right. If he's really into Bitcoin, he should prove it first. He's got companies that are accepting fiat.

And if it's hopeless, then he should do something about it and start accepting Bitcoin and not relying on fiat just as he's said.

I'm starting to believe that he's got some emotional behavior issues with some lines that I've read in the past. Also, just because that he's got a good position in a global setup, he shouldn't really curse people or he can because he's in a better shoe(in his mind).

Not so much about accepting fiat. Business has to do that. But what's he actually done for Bitcoin? He's hurt it more than helped. The constant memecoin/shitcoin things he does it the worst. And then promises to accept crypto but not really like try buy Tesla in your country for Bitcoin, not possible.

He's just a rich problem guy who has a lot of people listening to him, so we should, not add to it Smiley

Cheers bro.

How can it become legal tender without government approval? Do you think Bitcoin can become legal currency in El Salvador if Nayib Bukele doesn't agree?

How could it become the world's number one asset without trillions of dollars flowing into the market, without it becoming globally popular? Do you think we would have hundreds of billions of dollars flowing into the market without ETFs? Can we have bitcoin reserves without them? We need to admit that bitcoin would not have been able to achieve these things without the support of politicians/governments.

It would not be wrong to say that politicians are using it as a tool to achieve their political goals but at the same time bitcoin is also benefiting from it.

Emotions and dreams drive what happens in the real world - and we surely see the quakes from such statements, yet the more there are of them, the less effect they do each time.

Eventually, it stops working, and bigger and brighter headlines need to be made in order to catch the crowd on fire.

Here's a link to the image the OP pointed to: https://x.com/RenatoLima_X/status/1942028203150684621

I think it's time we stopped using politicians words as references. You seem to be hoping that politics will drag Bitcoin deeper into the game? You're clearly giving up the freedom Bitcoin achieved, and that's a departure from Satoshi ideals. Anything politicians say is inextricably linked to their interests, not yours or the Bitcoin community's.

This.

The bigger stage demands such things: what can be said is usually done to bring more influence to the table or to set the stage for the events to unfold.

Clearly, BTC is just another chip for them to use on their own tables.

That's what he really is. While hats off for employing a lot of people working for his companies. But it's a different thing about accepting Bitcoin for their products.

I guess that the purchase of Tesla of BTC before and then later sold it on was just all about clout. Just to support his sake to make people believe that he's really in it but no, he's only for the memes.

Yeah, cheers mate.

It is quite interesting Elon Musk is now reportedly forming his own America Party with focus on supporting Bitcoin even saying Fiat is hopeless showing his strong belief in digital money.

If this party gains power in US it could really boost Bitcoin adoption maybe even making it legal currency though that would be huge challenge. Donald Trump dismissive reaction shows how traditional politicians see these new ideas but influence of wealthy individuals like Musk through politics can greatly affect how cryptocurrencies are accepted and regulated globally.

And main thing which I am looking, that is "Now in US there will no party come in power without using Bitcoin as a Trump Card."

Because the pros outweigh the cons for such a move.

Everybody wants a slice of the "BTC-is-the-future" pie.

Cheers bro.

What remark left to me is he's just a user and manipulator on crypto market. That's why I don't believe on what he just said there. Since for sure that he's just using Bitcoin and those people in the scene so that he could make those things that he want to happen.

I guess its better for people to be careful believing on what Elon said because there's a good chance that it will not happen. Just like what he did before when he want to manipulate people he announce that his company Tesla is accepting Bitcoin, but later on he take it out and choose to accept fiat on transactions. So there's good chance that this situation will happen to especially if he already get what he want from people.

I don't know if that is also in the party BLUEPRINT. And if it is so I think that is a good idea of supporting Bitcoin and it will make it growth stronger. If the Americans Party wins the Presidential seat in America, Elon Musk will adopt Bitcoin as the legal tender currency in the country.
President Donald Trump said the "Americans Party" is ridiculous. Capitalists have a strong influence in politics. But right now I don't know the sole candidate of the Party. Politics can make bitcoin to be more adopted by countries if the State Actors fully support the Currency.

Musk goes political: forms party to support BTC, rejects fiat

Elon Musk launched the America Party, positioning it as a pro-Bitcoin, anti-fiat alternative to the existing political system.

Trump criticized the move, accusing Musk of fueling political chaos.

Bitcoin has formed a strong collective of support from all over the world. While surprising and exciting that politics are embracing or (seemingly) supporting Bitcoin, we should all keep in mind what politicians do best, that is, campaigning. They will say and do whatever sweeps them into power. What matters when they're in is what they do next. Very interested to see what Musk and Trump do to America and the world. Given how they both publicly behave, I think it's still a mystery to anyone.

Bitcoin has entered the world of politics already and it was inevitable and as a result Bitcoin has become stronger. Many politicians see Bitcoin as a path to freedom, while many use it as politics to win votes in elections. According to the American Constitution, no matter who the president is, there will be no overall development of Bitcoin until a president with structural reforms, constitutional consistency, and economic foresight is elected in America. However, in the current political context in America, it is not necessary to be the President of America to advance Bitcoin. If Elon Musk forms his own party and does not become president in the future, his influence in the party will be such that he can intervene in everything from his throne behind the president. Be it in the case of Bitcoin or anything else.

Before, we've got John McAfee that tweets on twitter before with any project that pays him well and then, after being tweeted, the pump happens to that coin.

That's what's happening with Elon since then when he's started tweeting about all of those memecoins.

He might not be paid on it but he's having fun into such and likely made a lot of money doing that for his own sake.

Believe everything said without any basis for belief, and that's how most politicians seize power and build power. Before the election, we saw Elon Musk working closely with Trump to achieve power, and now there's a rift in their cooperative relationship. So how can we trust these two men to handle important matters? Politics is inseparable from national life, but we need to know that they are ruthless and will do anything to achieve their goals.

Without their influence, Bitcoin would still achieve widespread adoption across countries, and I believe that without the state, things would also work out well. There's no hope of trusting politicians because they don't say what they will do and generally lie.
