Is over 3 months now btc is experiencing lost, in my little way I use 1 million naira to invest and ever since then I don't feel like sleeping because my money keeps dropping every now and then, I don't know how long this drops is going to continue because am scared the little money I thought will built empire is shrinking to 200k. Bitcoin is sound money. Unlike fiat currencies, Bitcoin does not suffer from inflation.

There are about 180 fiat currencies in the world today, including the Nigerian naira. Even the strongest among them like the US dollar or the Swiss franc , experience inflation of around 10% annually.

This means that if you have $1,000, your purchasing power decreases every year because the prices of goods and services keep rising. Essentially, you're losing about 10% annually because central banks are constantly printing more money and injecting it into circulation.

Other fiat currencies lose value even faster than the dollar. Some have triple-digit inflation.

For example, I checked online and found that Nigeria's inflation rate is around 22%. That means you're losing 22% of your purchasing power each year just by holding naira.

This is why every naira you earn should be converted into Bitcoin  because Bitcoin is sound money with a fixed supply and no inflation. When you hold Bitcoin, prices fall relative to your savings, and your purchasing power increases. But if you hold naira, you are constantly losing value.

So, sleep peacefully , but to sleep peacefully, you first need to understand what I’ve just explained. And you can only understand it if you spend at least 100 hours studying Bitcoin.

First of all, did you know anything about Bitcoin before you invested? I don’t think you knew anything about Bitcoin before you invested your money, because if you did, I don’t think you would make this post. Bitcoin is an unpredictable investment; you don’t know when the price will rise or fall. You can’t predict that the price of Bitcoin will rise in time; that is why it is a long-term investment. You invested 1 million naira to invest in Bitcoin, and you are panicking. Did anyone advise you to invest 1 million naira in Bitcoin?

Bitcoin is not a do-or-die investment; if you can’t invest, no one will force you, and that is why every time a newbie wants to invest, they always advise them to invest the money they can afford to lose. Don’t get me wrong; maybe my words are somehow harsh. When it comes to investment, you have to learn before taking any action. Bitcoin is not a get rich quick scheme, and you invested in bitcoin due to FOMO which was the reason why you bought at ths peak price this bull run. Since it's the money that you want to use to build your empire, it means that you still have enough time to leave your money in bitcoin. Don't panic and sell in big loss. Rather, keep holding and wait till the price of bitcoin reach a new ATH.

We are stil in the bull run and everyone is expecting bitcoin price to reach above $120k. If you're patient enough, you can wait till then and take profits. However, if you're not, you can sell the moment we see $113k price. Bitcoin is a long-term investment and if you can wait till four time, you will make good profits on your bitcoin holdings.

As much as I want to tell you to just sell if you can' bare the heat in the kitchen and get out of it.
But if this is the thinking you have that an investment like Bitcoin will make you rich that quickly and it won't have a roller coaster ride, maybe this isn't for you.
Investing in it requires patience and those people that you see who are profiting now likely invested a year and more ago.

Don't worry too much. To calm your nerves, you can look up bitcoin’s price charts over the past 8 years, you'll notice a consistent overall trajectory. There are indeed deep dips along the way, but the price tends to recover and generally continues to grow. It just might take longer than you originally expected. Set a minimum threshold for yourself, a level at which you're comfortable taking profit. If waiting is too stressful or doesn’t suit you, withdraw your funds when you reach a point that feels good to you. But whatever you do, avoid selling at a loss. Bitcoin is an asset that requires patience.

3 months? the ATH was 2 months ago, if you invest before that you're in profit. Anyway the down is just around 3%, such amount is normal and happened in other assets, if you worried if your investment down even as tiny as 3%, I think you're better to invest in something that won't make you rich e.g. time deposit, securities, ETFs etc.

They give a guarantee small APY and it won't make your capital down.

Because judging from that past ATH which is to be $112k and currently the market is $108k plus, I assumed the difference is around $4k from the previous ATH, so even though you invested 1m Naira into bitcoin at the ATH there will be no day your money would remain 200k Naira which I am assuming you invested in altcoin and not bitcoin. If we are inputting it into percentage I am sure that is only +-4% drop from the previous ATH and I assumed that your 1m naira should be around 960k Naira instead of the 200k you made mentioned, except you aren't telling us the truth about your investments that you are holding shitcoin and not bitcoin, as I believed those who hold altcoin are dumping it to buy bitcoin to secure their investments.

So therefore, before you post anything here you have to be calculative on what you are saying as I have seen that your story aren't true rather than false. Although, except you are meaning investment on altcoin and not bitcoin.

If you are afraid of loss, why are you investing? Didn't you know before you bought the asset that the price in the crypto or bitcoin market is full of fluctuations?

It should be remembered that investment is not aimed at getting rich instantly, it is better to throw away the mindset in your head. If I look at the many cases across countries, did they get their wealth instantly through investment, if I look at your profile, you created an account on April 28, 2022, which means it has been 3 years since you created your account. If I judge you already understand or understand how bitcoin has developed gradually from year to year, both halving and bearish, why do you still make topics like this? currently now, bitcoin is $108,919 and in the last three months, which i think should be the month of April and you can see form the chart below how the market made the high of $95,781 and low of $74,500 in which i believed that if you made an entry on any of these ranges should be in profit by now, because the market currently is $108,919 as at the time am writing this post, except you invested in May and bought when the market hit the all time high of 111,999 and this is obviously not a good entry point because you're buying at high.

Also, i will like to hear from your opinion about what you have to say, whether you invested by yourself or you gave someone the fund in helping you with the investment, because i don't see much reason to why by now you should be on losses at $108,919.

1,000,000 today is 650 usd as it is the same 0.00065 to the dollar so he would have broken even if he held the Naira in comparison to the dollar

btc was around 82,000 usd on apr 6 it is now around 108,900

so using the dollar he now has 108,900/82,000=1.328  a 32% gain or 1,328,000 Naira

So the op is being cheated or he is lying.  but he is not losing value at all

I guess that you must plan for holding at least 6 more months to get significant returns. It is just a speculation and no one will be able to get you where bitcoin market trades at any time frame. But, by studying what bitcoin market did in previous years and cycle, we may predict market in overall picture and this way, you might be at decent profits if you are able to extend your holding for another six months.

There could be multiple reasons, local exchanges usually trade at premium prices and I remember bitcoin traded around 110k at least couple of times and OP might be the one who entered on exact top. Another one might be, loaned capital; in this case, interest rate will kill any business.

It would have been better if you converted the money you use in investing in bitcoin to dollar, so that others who are not in the same region with you will understand the actual value. The Market is unpredictable that is why when investing you need to have the mindset of long-term and to understand the market being unpredicted. There are so many reasons that could be the steady movement of the market (up and down). Understand bitcoin investment first before you invest.

- volatility and the market is unpredicted.
-understand it is longterm and be ready to hodl
-you have to invest with what you can afford.

You wont be able to sleep if ever you would be having that last all in money that you had made out some investment with it. Its always been the golden rule on investing into crypto space is that you shouldnt be that investing into the amount on which you cant afford to lose. You would definitely be having that kind of unease feeling at the moment that the price will be having its drops then you wont be having that kind of panic. This is where usually people do forget on what they've been dealing and this is where they do have those kind of high hopes that Bitcoin could make them rich on which of course its not been a guaranteed thing in the first place. On the moment that you do made out some investment with crypto then always make sure that you are just that investing into the amount on which you can afford to lose. If you are that having that worry then its better that you should be selling your position at the moment that it would be able to hit up some breakeven so that you wont be finding yourself that become so stressful at the moment that you do see these kind of movements. Always consider out that the movement of price is that too volatile and there's no way that you can be able to know on where the price would be going and even with those who had invested millions doesnt have an assurance that they can make money with their investment but what most important is here is that you do invest on what you can afford to lose but of course its never been guaranteed.
