I believe this move brings a lot of benefits to the crypto space, for one it’ll remove the need for intermediaries and it’ll also increase adoption considering the vast user base of Mastercard
Yeah, it is going to bring benefits, but the negative side doesn't look good at all.
If I understood correctly, a user inputs their MasterCard pin right?, which is already a problem to privacy for those that really care.
Another problem is the too many companies and steps involved. I think the time taken to process a purchase might be longer than what users have experienced elsewhere. Mind you, MasterCard and Zerohash are central bodies too, so i don't really think this whole process is to avoid intermediaries in the first place. Let's just say that it was introduced to serve as an alternative to Cex.
And also, fees are going to be a problem. Just imagine a user paying fees to all the entities involved while making a purchase. I believe lots of users are going to consider the fees, while others will consider their privacy or both.
