I hope that you read the sticky thread first because all you need is already listed there.

Start reading it first: Newbies - Read before posting

For wallet of choice: [General] Bitcoin Wallets - Which, what, why?

For safety and newbie friendly I recommend the Electrum wallet.

BTC is still bearish at the moment, but it is getting weak. The market might shift while the RSI is making a reversal pattern.

To get more advantage analyzing the market, why not try to subscribe to TradingView and unlock the $15 reward from your first subscription?

Here's a good suggestion given by these site https://coincodex.com/article/38401/best-crypto-wallets-for-beginners/ those wallets mentioned are good options to choose. So its up to you on what wallet you like to use.

But make sure to secure your private key for your safety and don't try to think about making those exchange as wallet since deciding to store your wallet in third party platform is risky for many reasons.

So do more research to verify everything to learn lots of things about best thing to use and what are the other need to avoid.

Some recommended wallets.
What are the best Bitcoin wallets?
Recommended Bitcoin wallets.

Best wallets must be non-custodial and open-source firstly, then it depends on the OS you have with your device.

I would recommend Passport Core. Friendly for beginners, solid designusing strong materials, the safest among all HW available currently on market as it offers of-the-shell fully air-gapped solution. I'm using it for almost 2 years. No problem at all. Can be paired with almost all reputable client like Sparrow, Electrum, etc. BIP 85 support, MiniScript support in Q3. The support for the silent payment is also among team's plans. I think the price$199is also affordable for those who look for safety

Wallet is not going to make anything safer if you don't protect your keys or seed words first.
When you understand this than you can move to choosing some good open source wallets.
Electrum wallet is a good start for software wallet, but you can later move to hardware wallets like Trezor or Satochip that are not so expensive.

If you want to store your bitcoin, it's better to uae a wallet that is for only bitcoin. We have software wallet ms like blue wallet and electrum. They are user friendly and easy to use by beginners. Hardware wallets are the best because they are always offline. Passport wallet is a good hardware wallet. However, if you have an old pc which you're no longer using but it's working, you can set up electrum cold storage wallet on it and generate the keys offline. If you want multicoin wallet, you can use unstoppable wallet. Don't forget to write your seed phrase on a piece of paper and make three duplicates. Keep each of them in different locations very far from each other.

Hey, I’m just getting into crypto and want to store some Bitcoin safely. Can someone recommend a good beginner-friendly wallet?

I will recommend you exodus wallet since the preference here is for the beginner, but once you're now a thicker skin and got some experience form using wallets and in crypto, then you can switch to other forms of wallets, which may comprises the following:

recommended wallets for use as an experienced user.
Bitcoin Core
Passport
Electrum
Sparrow
Bluewallet

Passport (https://foundationdevices.com/passport/)
Electrum (https://electrum.org/)
Sparrow (https://sparrowwallet.com/)
Bluewallet (https://bluewallet.io/)
That is not a good recommendation, Exodus wallet is farming data and selling it. It would be better to use a Bitcoin only wallet that is open source. Electrum is also good on the phone, but its design is not that great. The desktop version of Electrum is good but I like Sparrow more.

With beginners, use Electrum wallet that is light and easy to use as it is a SPV wallet.

Exodus wallet can be for beginners in your opinion, but I disagree with you. In interface or feature, I don't see why it is better than Electrum wallet by any reason or feature if they only use the wallet for Bitcoin.

Importantly dangerous, Exodus wallet is close source.

That is not a good recommendation, Exodus wallet is farming data and selling it.
It's close source and it can not be reproducible from source code on user side.

Majority already mentioned Electrum wallet. Since you don't know much concerning wallets, complexities with wallets and how to set up, you should stick with the listed options. Take down your phrase, sign in and copy address correctly before depositing, after which avoid clicking unknown set ups inside the wallet.

Electrum is simple to set up

Electrum with open source makes it more secured.

Personal task for you is:

Minding where and how you store your seed phrase

Beware of where you download any wallet  you want, as there are cases of phishing you won't be aware.

On which device? I use Electrum for Bitcoin keeping on my pc when I was still new in this space and later I upgrade to hardware wallet, yeah many will give you various type of wallets but here is what to watch out for..

1. Avoid closed source wallets either it's Bitcoin or not.
2. Hardware wallets are far more safer than wallets for PC and mobile.
3. Avoid custodial hardware wallets too, they must be open source.

If you must use a free Bitcoin wallet don't stress, download Electrum from their official website electrum.org

Find some few dollars later or gather it up and buy a hardware wallet like Trezor or Tangem or Keystone.  GL

Good that as a newbie you are interested in storing Bitcoin. Your concern is really important about storing your crypto safely. You got a few important suggestions above; I hope you will find them helpful. If you are just thinking about storing Bitcoin, then at the beginning, the Electrum wallet would be the best option in case you are unable to buy a hardware wallet. Always, I prefer to use hardware wallets to secure your funds. I have been using Ledger Nano and Trezor wallets to secure my funds.

However, whatever wallet you are using, you must secure your seed phrase. Don't store your seed online, and I would prefer to secure your seeds in multiple safe places. So in case you lose your device, your seed will help you to recover your wallet. Remember, not your keys, not your coins; don't trust any web wallet or centralised wallet to store your funds.

If you plan to hold a significant amount of Bitcoin or want maximum security, a hardware wallet is the best choice.

It is very important to gain basic knowledge of using a wallet before using it. If you cannot use a wallet properly or cannot keep your private key and seed phrase in a safe place within yourself, then no wallet will be safe for you.

Another important piece of advice is, do not blindly trust the recommendations of others. If you have the ability to do your own research, then do your own research. If you do not have the ability to research on a topic, then research the recommender. Is that person trustworthy or not? I am not saying anything new about wallets, because you have already been given the necessary advice. Now rely on your own research.

Hey, I’m just getting into crypto and want to store some Bitcoin safely. Can someone recommend a good beginner-friendly wallet?
As a beginner, you need to have learned some basics about Bitcoin itself, wallets, keys and address blockchain technology so that you can find everything easy when making transactions and you can be able to know how to keep your coin safe always and how to have a safe transaction.

Many recommended solutions here are very useful, use them and get the best of them; but I will want you to have some brief knowledge on Bitcoin wallets and so on.
This website/book to learn more about how Bitcoin starts and how to make transactions, keys and address and so on.

And for wallets you ask of, I think an open-source Electrum wallet can be the best to start with, it is user friendly and have so many functions you will need as a beginner. Just learn to keep your private keys and seed phrase safe because not your keys, not your Bitcoin

I don't know that I would agree that this type of wallet is something that could be defined as "friendly for beginners", although it all depends on how much a person understands the concept of air-gapped wallets. What is the fact that this type of wallet far exceeds the security provided by classic hardware wallets, with of course a slightly higher price. It should be noted that the price you mentioned is valid for the US market, and that such a device, say in the EU, is still a bit more expensive considering customs, VAT and shipping costs.

My advice would also be to choose this or another air-gapped wallet if he is seriously thinking of investing in BTC, for everything else a wallet like Electrum can be used.

Hey, I’m just getting into crypto and want to store some Bitcoin safely. Can someone recommend a good beginner-friendly wallet?

Use Electrum or Bluewallet. Download these wallets directly from their official links. Not directly from the playstore or app store.

The two wallets that I recommend are easy to use for users. They are also recommended by other users here. You know why it is recommended, because the wallet has been proven by many users.
The wallets are also open source and both are Bitcoin-only wallets.

If you want one wallet but support other coins, unstoppable, but do your own research.

I just think of another point for you.

Please don't confuse about Bitcoin and cryptocurrency (altcoins). You must store your bitcoin only in Bitcoin wallets. If you have altcoins, store your altcoins in other wallets that are used for altcoins only. Never store both bitcoin and altcoins in a same wallet because with altcoins, you can interact with altcoins' scam smart contract. If your wallet is hacked, you will lose both bitcoin and altcoins.

Separating Bitcoin and altcoins in different wallets will reduce risk and help you managing your capital better.
