Bitcoin Hits New ATH — What’s Next for Altcoins?

Bitcoin just broke ATH again, even with weak macro, no ETH ETF, and low overall sentiment. Classic BTC move-  leads when no one expects it.

Now the big question: when alt liquidity rotation?
ETH/BTC still weak,  dominance near cycle highs alts mostly dead. But if history repeats — BTC pumps first, then rotation follows. L1s, strong narratives, then the rest.

Not saying full-on altseason is guaranteed, but rotation usually comes once BTC cools down or chops.
Watching ETH, SOL, and dominance closely.

Just be careful with the altcoins. See 2024 as the altseason and not expect any reduction in bitcoin dominance for now. You will see the altcoins more disappointing if bitcoin slightly make some corrections. If you see the altcoins at low price again but bitcoin still at higher price, do not be surprised.

Keep an eye on the closest altcoins. XRP, ETH, SOL, BNB and all those other altcoins that have all kinds of memecoins created on their chains, once they explored, the rest shall follow. Bitcoin is a long way from the previous all-time high $69K and this has been so for several months, but most of the altcoins haven't even hit their all-time highs yet. So the question is
1. Have the dynamics changed, or we shall see a massive upward price rally towards the end of the year?

For ETH, BNB and SOL clearly have quite a place in the spotlight if the altseason really happens, these three are like the parents of altcoins. Today ETH also touched the $3000 point, so this opening will be a strong signal for altcoin projects. In addition, when altcoin sentiment starts to be considered bullish, it will make new projects maximize token releases.

If the normal rotation goes is still in, then after hitting new ATH money will most go to the altcoins market afterwards. But for how long and when? No one knows so, if that trend is no longer there, we won't see it anymore because it happened already last year. If it's still there, we'd see it maybe after a month or two or even at the end of this year when Bitcoin is no longer dominant in the market and decreases it because it will go to the altcoins dominance, maybe ETH, SOL, etc.

With all eyes currently on Bitcoin (BTC) for its success in setting new & new ATH, I think the chances of an altseason are getting slimmer. Don't get your hopes up, if you don't want to miss out, it's better to rely primarily on Bitcoin (BTC). A few hours ago Ethereum (ETH) made a rally, it almost touched $3K. A good sign, but don't get your hopes up, as I said. Ethereum (ETH) and Solana (SOL) are good, but Bitcoin (BTC) is better .

Stellar seems to be doing okay, it has been the largest percentage gainer in the top market cap lists lately.

I like it a lot more than other top ranking token-platforms as I find its native tokens ability much simpler and cleaner than having to resort to "smart contracts" to implement tokens.

With current market I'd be fixated on BTC dominance and see if there's something big going to happen.

As of now it seems inflow going to ethereum heavily, possibly because people sees it as hugely underrated and try to position themselves.
I'd expect the biggest altcoin that are top 10 to have good time in the future, as for the rest with micro market cap, I don't really know.

To be honest, I won't use ETH/BTC chart because as we know BTC is too strong in this cycle.

Last year 2024, it seemed like it was hard to determine the altcoins season because one by one, other altcoins suddenly had a huge pump in their prices. Just like what happened
with Pepe when the price of bitcoin was only $48k-$50k when bitcoin's price started to rally, Pepe's price value suddenly rallied.

The percentage of its price increase was also really big. And even other altcoins that are different and other meme coins, we can only count on our fingers the altcoins
that really rallied their prices.

The main reason why you don't see the significant change in Bitcoin.D is that because Bitcoin is also pumping. Remember this, BTC.D will decrease significantly only if Bitcoin doin sideways while alts pumping. That's totally different with the current condition. For me I'd rather focus on Bitcoin since I see a good growth although ETH is doing good but for me Bitcoin movement is doing more fine and profitable especially for those people who choose to HODL it for long time.

There's always that time for altcoins. ETH might not be making up some big move or with those other top altcoins in the market. What next for altcoins? We do know that we do have that altcoin season and this is where those altcoin holders that been looking into. Now that BItcoin do hit up some new all time high on which it did made out some greens too into those other coins in the market but of course you cant just that expect that everything would be getting in line. It would be just that depending on you on how you would be able to adjust or simply just that make yourself handle your portfolio specially if you are that making some focus on your altcoin bags. So this would be a waiting game and a test of patience. If you arent that good on handling out your patience then it would be just that testing out yourself into this aspect. Never ever tend to make out those rush decisions just because you do have found yourself that being impatient because you havent seen your bags been pumping. Now that the market is that on greens then there wouldbe some percentage gains but people are expecting something even more and thats normal. Growth on specific top altcoins in the market will be that not known and totally random as always.

There's always that those talks in regarding ETH and Bitcoin on which one is better on which each of them is that totally different and not all people would be focusing into investing into either BTC or ETH on which there would be that tons of considerations on where people would be that investing. Some do make out some both choices for them to at least secure on whenever the market do make out some pump. It doesnt matter on which one as long your capital allows you to do so then there would be no issues in regarding into this one. There are just that those times that you would be having those kind of hesitation in between about your investment.

I don't see much for altcoins at this moment, hopefully once Bitcoin crosses $120k market cap then we might see some alt coins forming new ATH's but not before that. Right now even the top performing alt coin of this season Solana isn't doing much as compared to Bitcoin. It's still far away from its ATH, and Ethereum is also not doing good at all. The small market cap alt coins aren't doing anything good, and so far it's waste of money to invest in those alt coins.

I don't think that we will see alt season again this circle because bitcoin is still dominating and big companies are still buying. No one is investing in altcoins because they have no real value. Altcoins season was last year and don't get too carried away that as bitcoin price is pumping, altcoins will survive the pump. One small correction on bitcoin price will make them go dipper.

I think we already saw SOL's rally last year and it did really pumped great. So, if people are expecting for it to be part of this year's altcoin season, it's still possible but they have to remember that it has already made some pump and we don't know if there's gonna be 2nd version of this before this year ends. With the pump that BTC is doing right now, the hope for the alts season is there and we only have to wait when it's going to make every alt pump. If we're only looking for colors, majority of them is in green but let's see how they react when BTC starts to correct.

The era for alt is dead, no alts had ever shown the momentum of getting to it's ATH but stagnant around lower level, the bull season is never like before anymore but seeming to be dominated by Bitcoin only,

Alts are creating another game of pump and dump unlike before where there were use cases development mentality, the total number of alt that comes out everyday makes investors jumping from one to another looking for quick gains and not consistently focusing on project.

That was a very small price rise for bitcoin which means it is too soon to get excited about any kind of major move in the altcoin market for pumps. What the altcoin market needs to see big pumps is fresh money from newbies who don't know how terrible altcoins are and have not yet lost money to the pump and dump schemes.
That can only happen if there is a prolonged bitcoin bull market that attracts "fresh" money and we are not there yet.
