I have come to understand that the countries we mostly refers to as world powers or the big five like USA, Russia, China, Germany  etc all deals with nuclear weapons that post treats, fears and minority orientations to other countries. Countries like Arab, Iran, Irag, Pakistan and lots more have powers but do not actually have nuclear weapons to withstand or fight the big fives countries rather it has always be a thing of negotiations for resources, boundaries and scales rather than fights and win battles to know who control the world.

Of course, we have big countries > underdeveloped and 3rd world countries. That's why there are imbalances in the world. Those progressive countries have a lot of nuclear scientist and physicist that can developed more potent weapons, a weapon of mass destruction.

Hopefully though, the sitting world leader wouldn't think of using it's nuclear weapons as it could lead to a world war 3. As for the poor nations, it's going to be very hard to acquire even one of this nuclear weapons, priorities are going to be very different.

Do you know that South Africa has 6 nuclear weapons before during the apartheid, but the nukes was later dismantled and South Africa confirmed it in 1993 before the apartheid ended in 1994.

Although many people claimed that it was dismantled because of the Whites that were leaving power.

What I can say is that those having nukes may be what will end the world one day. It is better how Africa does not want to have nukes.

The countries are accurate. Just 9 countries have nukes. But many articles are indicating that Russia's likely has more nukes than United States.

Your absolutely correct, priority places a major role when it comes to ownership of a nuclear weapon, more than half of the entire population of Africa are struggling with basic needs, and over the years most African countries have suffered the brunt of not having leaders that come in for the soul responsibility of developing the country, so you have them spend number of years in leadership and at the end of the day they don't have any impact. So most African leaders come into office with the responsibility of at least developing the people, making them economically stable, so at what point as a leader will you have time to start prioritizing the need to have nuclear weapons, when you are faced with challenges of economic instability. Even the Burkina Faso you are giving as an example at the moment will have to take a good number of years before they can even think of having a nuclear weapon, and that is if the military regime they have now will even continue, and you know how rigorous it could be to start the process of nuclear weapon ownership, sometimes you even have to face some sanctions.

Even if Africa had nuclear weapons,having them alone is not enough, as Ukraine has already proven.

Before Ukraine gave its nuclear arsenal to Russia, they knew they could not maintain nor use them because they lacked the technology, finances, launch codes and know-how. So really, the most they could have done is make a dirty bomb out of the nuclear material. And that alone would not be enough to scare another country into not attacking or bullying them.

Africa right now does not have any of the necessary capacities to store, maintain or launch nuclear weapons. So it is a moot point whether they have them or not.

Everything has always been based on territory, trade, and good neighborly relations. Only foolish dictatorships dare to go against this basic principle of society. Perhaps the leaders of these countries are trying to become some kind of supreme ruler to control the population... and as time goes by, nuclear weapons serve as a show of power. I see nothing wrong with that, quite the opposite, actually. The strongest wins and rules over the weakest... it has always been that way and always will be, whether we like it or not.

I am surprised that Germany, that I consider a word power is not on this list of countries that owns nukes, I consider them as one of the world's most advanced countries, also I wonder what is the criteria for only 9 countries owning nukes. Although I don't support for every country to have nuclear weapons, it will be deverstating if a country decides to unleash it on their enemy nation. So far all the countries that owns nukes are behaving well, I hope that it will remain so far the sake of innocent citizens, they can iuse it to flex muscles to their enemies but I hope that none of them will have to use theirs.

African nations are burdened with more important things than owning nuclear weapons. Many of these countries are battling with poverty, infrastructure deficit, illiteracy, civil war, and other issues. Egypt,  South Africa, and Nigeria might have the resources to start a nuclear programme, but it seems they are not interested in owning nukes. Most of these nations are also under colonial influence, which might reduce their ability to make independent decisions.

Burkina Faso, Niger, and Mali are under military dictators who want to free these countries from colonial influence. These nations might want to copy authoritarians like Kim Jong Un to develop nuclear weapons. But I don't know if they have the financial and technological backups to achieve it.

There's no ruling the fact that there are more countries or more nukes by the above.
I believe they all would want to keep something concrete classified and not publicize their Trump card.

We are not there yet. Building nukes shouldn't be our priority.
We are short on many neccesity to start vying for nuke control.
Not owning one is dangerous but owning one also paints a target on your back.

You didn't talk about North Korea who is Nuclear power and they can destroy World at any time but it doesn't mean Nuclear weapons are for the purpose of destroying the World, rather these are made for the defense of the country because super powers can attack on any country for the sake of resources. Arabs are rich in resources but they are coward , USA is already has power in that country and  they have soldiers in that country and they could destroy that country at any time. Germany lost World War II, and for this reason, they were banned from possessing nuclear weapons. It's true that Germany is one of the most advanced countries today, but for military matters, they relies on allies like the United States and the United Kingdom, and Germany is largely dependent on NATO. To date, the United States is the only country to have used nuclear weapons in war, and everyone hopes no other country will use them in the future.

I believe several other countries outside of this list are also enriching uranium, but for different purposes. No country has the authority to grant permission to develop nuclear weapons. Furthermore, countries possessing nuclear weapons have some kind of treaty when developing them. Regarding the number of nuclear weapons possessed by these nine countries, I think that is merely speculation, as their nature is secret and no country would publicize it.

It has many advantages and disadvantages and the main reason for this is that in the past, war was fought with hands, but that too was fought on the basis of numbers. But in the present era, war is fought on the basis of the number of weapons and the present era is better than that era because in those wars there was bound to be losses, but in the present era there are fewer. That is because fighting a nuclear country is not an easy task, so some agreements are made and the war is stopped. This is absolutely true, but it also means that we can sleep peacefully, that is a different matter that the other country has no idea what it will do when, but we have such tools with which we can win the war.

Obviously, they understand that by acquiring this, we can destroy many countries at the same time, just like Pakistan has an atomic bomb that can destroy the whole of India, and similarly, America has such fighter jets that it can destroy many times. It is not used mostly for control, but rather for peace in one's country and living one's life, and it is used only when someone attacks or harasses one's country.

What do you mean by Africans can't stand on their right like Burkina Faso? Is Burkina Faso not standing on their right against foreign invaders? Please answer me yes or no.

And speaking of Africa in general, Africa is always standing on their right but the problem with majority of African countries is their leaders, Africans should hold their leaders responsible and accountable for every of their actions and what ever becomes of it..
Many african leaders do not care about the growth, independence and stability of the country that they lead, what they are purely after is their own pocket and that of their generations to come, Africans are their own problem and unti they arise to start holding their leaders accountable, things likely will never change but rather get worst for them.

I share your pain OP because countries like the United States of America who has nuclear weapons are busy fighting and putting sanctions on other countries like Iran who are trying to build their own with the way that the world is today the world is getting more unstable and unfair because is like a situation where your neighbor who has a gun and is telling you not to buy your own.

However, based on several articles on the internet that I searched, I found quite a lot of articles discussing Africa which had or developed its own nuclear power before finally dismantling it all in 1989-1991. ¹ Specifically, that country is South Africa. So, it's true that Africa doesn't have it now. However, this country once developed it, although it no longer does.²

However, regarding Germany, I found an article stating that they do not possess nuclear weapons directly. This is because the country's nuclear weapons are apparently not under their control. I'm a bit confused here. Although Germany does have nuclear weapons, they belong to the US and can only be used with US and NATO permission. So, Germany might be able to use them with US permission, or something similar. So, basically, this indicates that Germany is not a country that possesses its own nuclear weapons.³ And when I researched the countries that possess nuclear weapons, they were the US, Russia, the UK, France, and China. There are also several countries that possess nuclear weapons but are not officially recognized.
