Your title asks about the actions of newbie holders and then you say that these newbies short bitcoin, so what are they really? Are they holders or traders? Who are we talking about. I'm a holder and I know a few holders who are in this space for 5-10 years and none of them has ever shorted bitcoin. If you do, that makes you a trader, more of a speculator than investor. After all, you're betting money on a selloff.

What should holders do? Keep holding. They can always do like me - celebrate the ATH by treating themselves to that new thing they wanted to buy but couldn't find money to do so. Maybe it's a swimming pool in their back yard, maybe it's a new bicycle, maybe a new computer, or family trip to some tropical island. I don't know what you guys like but when bitcoin hit a new high in 2017 I remember I bought myself a gaming PC because I was into it at the time.

Newbies could become the long term holders in the future. So what they should be looking for right now is long term holding and not what they are making today. Plus, getting involved right at the top was never a good idea, you do not invest at all time high, that is the worst investment strategy ever, if you saw it break over it then you are already too late.

You invest when it crashes, which you can just wait some more, I guarantee you that in a year we will see 50% price lower than right now, that's how it always happens and that's what we are going to see. I guarantee you that we are going to end up with a much better price without a doubt, just wait until it falls, buy as much as you can, and wait as long as you can.

BTC has Hit a new All Time high ATH. I Thought I'd share my thoughts  from beginners perspective and ask what experiencesd members think. As BTC has hit an ATH That becomes a tremendous news For the early Hodlers and investors. But what about The Newbies?

Be a strong Bitcoin holder and commit to your long-term goals. If you know the Bitcoin price will continue to rise, every dip, panic, and so on will strengthen you because you believe the price will eventually rise again, and continue to rise, regardless of Bitcoin's track record.
However, I understand that good advice sometimes doesn't prevent beginners from panicking and selling when the Bitcoin price rises or reaches a new ATH. That advice is what makes them strong and will make them better. But at least you trusted the advice of those with experience because it was good advice, and at least you didn't sell your Bitcoin at a loss even though you didn't have a strong hand. When you try again, you'll put that advice into practice because there's no limit to investing in Bitcoin even when the price is high, and you'll still profit if your goal is long-term.

You wont be called a holder if you are that aiming on making up some short term approach on selling out your coins on which simply means that your entry and exits wont matter up that much because if we do speak about being a holder then this would be talking about years. Somehow its not bad to consider out on making some buybacks on pullbacks on which utilizing those movements to maximize profitability on which its a normal approach. If you are a noob and doesnt have much idea about this market behaves and sees out that your invested money on Bitcoin do make out some profits now, then it will be that up to you whether you would be holding your position or would be securing out profits, but since we are talking about being a holder then this do talks specifically about holding up for some long months or years before selling out. What matter the most here is that you should be setting out those taking profit levels or specific % gains with your investment. If you are a newbie then you would definitely be that highly emotional when it comes into the market movement and if you are even just a holder then you would be having that kind of effect.

Now that we are heading for this upcoming bull run or lets say we are already that on this bull run period then selling out for securing profits then it will be that up to you but since you are still that newbie then you would be having that kind of impression whether you should be holding your position or you would be selling out. What matter most on here is that you do know on what you are doing and you would be taking out such action for you to be able to find out which one fits on your style when it comes on handling out this unpredictable space. Never ever trying out to become that too emotional on every position you do make and never ever trying out to listen up on whatever the words that you would be able to hear out around. Its not that bad to look for some information but never tend to copy it out on fully when it comes to investment decision. Always stick into your own and adding up some other people or traders idea or investors on what are their insights and views.

Well if you are a new hodler then you did make some profit and you should still hodl your Bitcoin. Now we are in a 'bull run' so buy some more sats before we do see another new all time high price for Bitcoin.
The Billionaire CEO of Social Capital named Chamath Palihapitiya did say a very 'bullish' thing about Bitcoin. He is a venture capitalist and he does think price of Bitcoin will be $1.14 Million in this next cycle.

Newbies who failed to get on how to make money in this space will short bitcoin and will burn their fingers. The concerns over the newbies is understandable but when you are aware of how early investors of bitcoin have been making money here, I am not getting the point of concerning over the people who short at ATH. You know the method to make money here but you are worrying about the people who ignore about copying the same exact method. Contradicting yourself .

Trading may suit anyone or may not but hodling will. So, instead of trying to assume about the ATH and then shorting, trying to catch the dips still with the plans of long term holding will help newbies. You need to believe the fact that we are still in early stage of adapting bitcoin compared to the people who will come to know about bitcoin by 2030 from the tier 3 places where internet is not available right now. So, you have still chances to be early adapter but not against your folks.

Holders do sell, and those who bought at the top will be the ones that will lose their money because those who bought Bitcoin at a much lower price and held their assets for a long time will be selling their holdings to take profit.

How to react to this market? It depends, but if you're a newbie, the safest approach is wait for the bear market to happen then that's the time where you can buy Bitcoin. It will take longer and it will test your patience, but if you're a newbie, that's better than buying at the top and getting FOMOed. If you know how to read charts then you're not a newbie already because for me, a newbie is a person who has little to no knowledge about something and in this case, it's crypto.

Holders when the market is pumping tend to sell a majority of their Bitcoins to take profit. Well at least that's what I'm doing. I'm gradually selling my Bitcoins as it goes up. Buying more when the market's going up is based on our decision already, and if we buy more Bitcoins, it's for the short term hold only and the risk is higher if we do it, but it's a calculated risk.

In summary what you are saying is for them to buy and hodl for a long term, not panic when the market experience dip, stay strong and focused on their accumulation strategy like DCA method. That's the reason why it's important to understand the meaning of "HODLer", because basically a person who decides to become a HODLer will not be tempted to sell even though the price is down or the market is volatile. They will tend to hold their Bitcoin and hold it in the long run, and usually they are more sure of what they are doing, so when the market is volatile they just assume that it is just noise - they are more confident that the price of Bitcoin that they hold will rise significantly in the long run.

Your are correct, Bitcoin new ATH or not. Those who are interested in investing in newly in Bitcoin can always buy bitcoin. And there may be many problems with newcomers and fear can work. So he has to hold Bitcoin without focus towards the problem. And if the price of Bitcoin is reduced then you have to buy again. This is called DCA. And at present, most Bitcoin Holder cannot be patient and sells bitcoin with some loss, even though the market is a little down or the market is a little down. You are doing the first steps wrong. When bitcoin reaches all time high, you would not short it. Once an asset is in ATH, it means that there is buying momentum behind it and it may continue to rise higher. Those who would short it blindly are bound to lose their capital. You should only short when you see a clear change in the structure in higher time frames. When Bitcoin makes a lower high and confirms it, only then are there probabilities that shorting would be profitable.

Well guess what, those who has had their portfolio elevated in value to such a mouth watering amount didn’t get there by simply having to sell when it pumps. They were consistently buying and building their portfolio through the years and even now, they continue in the practice while avoiding to make sales of their Bitcoins.

If bitcoin hits all time high, I don’t think their is anything to react to, if you have been in crypto space for some time, then bitcoin hitting all time high should be something normal, am sure people that have been in crypto space for some time will have seen bitcoin hit all time high different times, so they will have been use to it already.

If bitcoin hits all time high, and you decide to short, then you are wrong, because you don’t really know the price that bitcoin is going to hit before correction to happen, if you decide to short it, and price keeps on increasing, then you going to be losing money, and that’s why you are suppose to stay away from future trading as a beginner, bitcoin hitting all time high shouldn’t be the reason for you to short.

If you are holding bitcoin, and you see that bitcoin hits all time high, then what you should do is just to keep on holding, I don’t see anything special in bitcoin hitting all time high, all I see is bitcoin getting to a particular price, and that’s a sign that bitcoin is growing, so if you having more money to invest, you can still decide to buy, and if you don’t, then just keep on holding what you have in your wallet.

Simply put, if you don't want to sell, then you have to hold longer.
You can accumulate if you still have the budget, but you can also just hold while waiting for higher prices. Of course, this is not detrimental at all, even though the price will actually be corrected and you will lose some value from your estimated assets, but rest assured that the price will rise higher.

I have no reason to sell now, and even if I did, I would only sell a portion around the ATH. So far, I haven't sold and am still holding, and I don't regret it even though the price has dropped to $117k. But you may choose another path, I mean, you don't need to ask the community for any advice when you feel it's time to sell.
