What I don't know is whether there are ways now to bypass this security layers without your consent and without requiring any form of approval from you. If there are ways like that, we will be glad to know how that is done and how we can protect ourselves further. I have different options here which includes the authentication apps, passkey and backup codes among others. If there are ways people also break these securities, please let's be aware so we can sought for more ways to gain more security.
No way, no fucking way to go about it.

In most Microsoft office mailbox, the 2fa are often in a way where the phone number attached to the 2fa can be called, and if the owner pick it up, the code will be announced to the owner, so no way.

On many centralized exchange, if you aren't connected to the 2fa, no way. Except someone close to you and has access to the 2fa in your phone, then you are gone. That's the only way.

Stop answering calls from unknown callers, let them go to voice mail and i think that alone will allow you to screen out scams.

The most common I experience are calls for bank asking me for personal information, saying its safe, my response always is i don't give information via call, and let them look for information on what they have, but even though they give info about me I don't confirm any, instead i ask them to email their concern, and they never bother me again, also received a call asking me if I'm interested in investing and that i have the account which i do not, asking me also information, but i just reply I'm not interested and block the number.

You know, I really feel should you have quote the OP just like I did here, trimmed off the parts that might be irrelevant to your response would have being a lot nice don’t you think. I don’t subscribe to the idea of having to quote an entire OP like you did with your comment literally seconding the OP like you’ve done. We can’t hope to read that and read this again. You can snip it or trim as it applies, those would work.

Most of these caller scams often exist on fiat and not necessarily cryptocurrency or Bitcoin scams. Although, you might find some of those trying to impersonate a customer service to an exchange of crypto platforms to get you into authorizing or consenting on a scheme that is by far a fraud. You just have to exercise caution and when it’s not a problem to you, don’t be in a hurry to consent, always approach all services and enquiry from the official site.

This is also the reason why we must work on ourselves and our greed index, since there are people who can't be that wanting to consent from their official site or would want to desperately jump and rushed into something without them making proper inquiries of how such a thing works. Of course, it's our core duties to work properly on how to secure our investment and protect it from whomever they could be that planing of launching any attacks or that could want to steal from us illegally.

Make sure all,and i mean all access to any of your financial accounts including banking, credit card, investment and retirement is protected using 2 factor or multi factor authentication and pass keys are supposed to be state of the art.
Be sure not to have your 2FA enabled apps, emails or SIM card in the same device as your financial apps, that is a point of failure, if your device is compromised, it becomes easy for the scammer to retrieve such codes and go ahead with stealing your funds.

Some Unknown callers might actually not be scammers, hope you don't miss out on opportunities because of this point. Just take the call but refuse to do what was asked of you if you sense it is victimizing of any sort.
It is also very good not to pick calls from hidden numbers, I take it as an indication of a potential scammer.

unfortunately, banks also calls customers sometimes to make request of sensitive information from them especially when the customer just opens an account with them. I have received calls both from a legit bank and some sources that are not legit and it is really difficult to tell which is which if you are not careful enough. the only way out is to make it clear that no personal information of yours is getting out through such sources except you are going to the banks to provide such information on your own.
If unsure on which call is legit then it's better if you will provide the information in person rather than giving them chance to get your information through call as it might not be the legit call from the real bank and the one who is pretending to be someone working from the bank. For me, I'd rather go there than giving personal information through call and you can also ask if they did call you not long ago to confirm that it is them to be sure and if not is that you will know that the call is not from the bank.

When one is being research full and very careful on things to invest in or things to per take in concerning funds either in cryptocurrency or fiat then we will be free from alot of unforeseen issues and risks that might be coming from some greedy people who don’t want to work on themselves and put in the effort to build their own wealth or business.
A lot of scams with different perspectives and ideas are really going on both in the cryptocurrency space and the fiat money too. Many people will go to any extent just to take advantage of others properties and belongings and that just why we need to be security conscious and very cautious on things we involve ourselves in and things we try to put on without making right enquiry and research. Things are happening and for us not to get involved in stuffs like this then we will need to work on our self consciousness and security level.
Scammers will go any limit to wipe out our funds so we need to be very careful and caution.

I have received calls from people pretending to be from my bank, I always tell them that they got the wrong person, hahaha, they will get pissed and cut the call, I don't fall for such tricks. I don't use 2 Factor Authentication on my bank account but the security is insane, after logging in, that's if you can figure out my password you will need to answer 3 security questions with a timer right beside the screen, before the count down runs out those questions need to be answered or the account will lock by itself. .

Moreover I don't keep alot of money in the bank anyway, the USD is my main fiat even though I am not living in the United States, by local currency is too bad Vs USD, because of inflation also I don't dare keep alot of money in the bank. If you have to steal from me you need to get my recovery seed to mu hardware wallet, that's the only place I ever have some funds.

With the possibility of the federal consumer financial protection bureau being diminished or eliminated,I offer the following for your consideration;

Protect yourself and all your assets from scams. As AI takes hold, the number of scams that will come over the phone,in email,in real mail,in internet searches,in text messages,in link on web pages between news stories is beginning to multiply exponentially.
So if you have not already frozen your credit, please do it,it’s not difficult to do and turn off temporarily and refreeze.Thereafter, run your free annual credit report and check it for bad or suspicious information.

Make sure all,and i mean all access to any of your financial accounts including banking, credit card, investment and retirement is protected using 2 factor or multi factor authentication and pass keys are supposed to be state of the art.
Stop answering calls from unknown callers, let them go to voice mail and i think that alone will allow you to screen out scams.

And be extremely wary of AI generated search results, they cannot yet be trusted without verification.
Keep all your electronic devices up-to-date making sure all operating systems, security updates and applications are checking and updated frequently.

In conclusion;
Remember, there are perhaps millions of human and maybe billions of electronic bots out there that are trying to steal from what you have worked-out your life to build,so is time to put in some effort to protect yourself and your assets against any potential attack.

Good advice OP but do you know that all this can be avoided by just doing one thing right? And that thing is just by purchasing a open source hardware device, this becomes your standalone crypto wallet and the only thing you have to worry about is keeping the recovery seed offline, there's is no worries about email getting compromised or fear of clicking the wrong links.

You can also use your PC and phones the way you want, even if your devices are infected your crypto will be safe because they are stored in a offline device, I recommend airgapped hardware wallet like Keystone or Trezor.

There will be too many things to worry about if you stored your digital assets on a computer or your smartphones, the majority of the problem that people are facing in crypto space are from the devices they choose to run their crypto wallets on, hardware wallet solved those problems.

Buying and using a hardware wallet is good, especially it is an opensource hardware wallet. You also recommended about creating and backing up a hardware wallet, that's very vital for cryptocurrency users.

But you did say one thing wrong.
Why do people don't have to mind about email compromise?
It's always important and there are many data leaks that severely damages reputation of a famous Ledger hardware wallet.

It's not a good advice too.

Keeping your devices clean with good habit on your devices and Internet is one of most important practice to do. Don't use your devices careless and don't do stupid things on Internet just because you already own and use a hardware wallet.

We should be very careful this period, the way technology And Ai are growing so fast that's how scammers are also upgrading their own tricks every single day, they can call, text you on your email, even message you directly on text, or even create fake website to just take your personal information or your money.
Never you trust any message or any call that asked you to disclose your bank details, password or OTP, no bank staff can ask you for that. Always use strong password in all your account and don't repeat same passwords whether in your bank, crypto Wallet, and email, this act can save you from someone that wants to hack your account, anything that has to with clicking of random links maybe on social media, they're all trap that scammers uses to collect information from people.

NOTE: that internet can be very helpful and also dangerous at the same time, so the best protection is awareness, the more you're smart, the more it will be difficult for anyone to deceive you, shine your eyes trust nobody with anything that has to do with your personal details

You’re basically right, but I’d add one nuance. AI‑generated malware tends to target Web3 software wallets far more often than hardware wallets. With the solid hardware wallet like Passport core your funds are generally safe unless you fall victim to social engineering attacks. AI is known to be the hard-liner on this, generating high‑volume fake social‑media personas, impersonations, and fake messages.

This is why it's very important to always verify. With the little knowledge that the others have, that's putting them into danger.

Because they think that they're all safe with the knowledge they have and they are not willing to listen to the additional advise of other people.

You can also use your PC and phones the way you want, even if your devices are infected your crypto will be safe because they are stored in a offline device, I recommend airgapped hardware wallet like Keystone or Trezor.
It's still best to not use and access your crypto wallets in that infected device.

NOTE: that internet can be very helpful and also dangerous at the same time, so the best protection is awareness, the more you're smart, the more it will be difficult for anyone to deceive you, shine your eyes trust nobody with anything that has to do with your personal details
With the rapid development of technology today, everything seems easier, because technology was essentially created to make things easier.

However, at the same time, technology can be misused by malicious individuals. They can use it as a means to steal other people money. They will try to find loopholes in every individual to lure them into fraudsters traps. Therefore, I completely agree with your advice on being aware of protection, especially when it comes to protecting personal finances. Whether it is money in a bank, crypto, or e-wallet, all of these are targets for fraudsters, so be careful and always be vigilant and skeptical of any information you receive.

By the way, I recommend that all of us, especially beginners, always look for information about financial theft incidents or cases. It is important to follow these to increase our awareness, and understand how fraudsters operate. Personally, I watch them more often on YouTube.

We should be very careful this period, the way technology And Ai are growing so fast that's how scammers are also upgrading their own tricks every single day,

The more technology becomes advanced, the more scammers take it as an opportunity to take advantage of those who don't understand how things work. I think the only way for people not to fall victim to these scammers is to do research and gain knowledge.

Knowledge is power; no matter how one tries to manipulate you, it will always be difficult to hit the target because ignorance is the only reason why scammers can take advantage of people. The fact that the more technology there is, the more scammers there are, should challenge one to seek understanding.
