A lot of factors makes government to take action such as banning casinos and one of the popular reason the give is to protect their citizens from gambling addiction. They believe that gambling addiction will do more harm to their country than the benefits they will gain from taxes from the casinos. In some countries, the only reason casinos or gambling in general are banned is mainly on religious ground because they believe that gambling is against their religious beliefs. Whatever be the reason, the government will only take action they believe the benefit will be higher for them. I do not support banning casino and I'm not from a country where casinos are banned, so I don't have much to worry about.

If banning gambling on religious belief is the norms of some countries, they have the right to do so and won’t care about the benefits they can derive from not banning it, most of this countries are already well to do and will not depend on revenues from this gambling industries before they can farewell in their countries. Gambling addiction is there, and by so doing they’ve already conquer that after the ban being placed on gambling in such regions.

Every country has their own laws and won’t compromise it because they see other countries doing it and they also want to also get relevance, that’s how to know an independent nation that are true to their words. Gambling is global already, stopping it in some countries that are not gambling friendly won’t stop its existence, but will only the limit the use in that region which is perfectly okay and commendable in my opinion. Exactly, there is also other ways that can be used to bypass the restriction, one of them is that some casinos provide mirror links so those who are getting the access blocked by the government through ISP will still able to access the casino by mirror links.

Correct, Gambling truly generates huge profit but in exchange to problem to society due to addiction. The overwhelming effect on gambling affects the overall welfare of the country which is not worth it even if it generates revenue.

There’s a lot of source of income which the government can generate without resorting to gambling.

The only problem is the corruption that makes the country poor and politicians only funnel the wealth.
