Just be careful of the altseason that people, news, people on social media are telling you, it is not coming in my opinion. If you check what happened in 2024 to January 2025, you will notice that time was the altseason. But what people wanted is that bitcoin market dominance have to fall, they are only deceiving themselves and misleading people. If bitcoin fall, do not think altseason will begin but altcoins will fall massively. The coin you can think that the bear season may not have much effect on right now is still bitcoin.

The Bitcoin dominance did a deep dive in December 2024 into 2025 like you said and it was a very small move, but watching altcoin season index, this is the lowest safest time to get in again.

Good to know! So you're betting that this Bitcoin bull run will spark an altcoin season .. nice one.

If I may suggest, try to manage your risk a bit. Maybe go half on high-volume altcoins, the safer plays, then use the other half on coins with solid potential. If they take off, a 100x return isn’t impossible especially if we see the same kind of altcoin season we’ve seen in the past.

Honestly I don't think it's advice to I vest so much In different altcoins. If you really want to invest on alt, then your major target should be on the well know ones that are even less volatile compared to others. Coins like sol, is what I can advise you to buy using dca. Another altcoins are mostly for quick gains and if you are buying them, you should do well to be ready to sell on time to avoid losing your money to the market... Make sure to manage your risk properly as they usually are very risky to manage.. theres nothing wrong to buy when the pumps start because you are using the dca method to buy... So at different point in the market you will be buying and eventually make profits...

Nothing indeed last forever, since you are already going to consider bitcoin in part of the coins you are going to share the $1000k you are ready to lose on, together with ETH which the chance of its ETF getting approve is very high which can bring in more price increase as a result of increase in demand is also a good one, but your other choice of coin or token should be review very well so that you don’t actually lose the money in what don’t worth it, the risk is allowed, but not all project are supposed to be worth our investment.

The amount is too little for it to be worthwhile to spend $100 per week and you will need 2.5 months to complete this. Just go with the second option.

As long as you know what you are doing, just go for what you want to do, just be vigilant and always expect the consequences on this thing you are thinking of doing, you know that altcoins investment is really higher in risk level compared to bitcoin.

Now if you are going to invest in altcoins, your priority should always be those in the top 1 altcoins so that at least you can control or minimize the risk,

The first option will always be the best method for DCA, because at the end of your accumulation, you can see the growth or decline of the price in detail over time. The second method isn't bad either, but I just find the first method better, for reasons I've already mentioned. It's all about management and risk.

BTW, we seem to be entering an altseason, considering the current situation. Ethereum (ETH) has started to soar, and recently even reached $3,100. So, it's a good idea to start accumulating funds, believing that altseason is coming soon. Good luck, mate!

All these you're asking are base on what each individuals could decide to take base on their personal preference when it comes to investment, but as according to what i can give, i will make it happens this way, staying close only to bitcoin investment using DCA is very important and am not going to include any other altcoins during the process because they are not to compare with what bitcoin can do, i may also decided in buying the dip and hold.

$10 for each is too small and can you track all of them as one? IF you plan to go full crypto mode, you will not just put your money in one CEX or DEX but you will spread them among chains and wallets. Do you have bot or algo or software that track all of them? Such as notification, etc.

$1000 is too risky nowadays, unless you go full Bitcoin, with leverage .

I've done #1 and it made me just lose more than $100, I wasn't able to recover any penny from that capital. The #2, I'll just do it but I'll make sure that I've done research and I have confidence to the projects that I'll invest $100 weekly to 10 of them. It's a risky strategy but if you can afford to lose $1000 doing either #1 or #2 strategies, you'll definitely learn a bigger lesson afterwards.

That allocation is very small if you have $1,000, meaning you only have $100 for each altcoin you bought at the end of November.

This is certainly more conservative, as some will certainly rise and some won't. However, if you look at the percentage increase, for example, if you get a 50% increase in one asset, that would be $150, and what if it were to decline?

I think it's better to just have five selected coins, so you can have $200 in each coin you DCA.

Your question sounds like a newbie's question, now there are many ways to track the holdings we have. So, keeping track of it all shouldn't be difficult. What's discussed in this topic is about the DCA method that's better for the @OP financial condition, so if you discuss anything outside of that it's irrelevant. I see you are advocating for $100 per project per week, that's not really the best way to do DCA (IMO), because we lose tracking for the other 9 at the beginning.

I would say 10 dollars would not make sense, in the way that you would  be spending way too much on the fee's to begin with. 100 dollars version makes a bit more sense, but still that would be very little. I get that you have just 1000 dollars, but why not do that with all of it? I get that you believe DCA is a great method, and it is, but not sure if it is for this kind of money.

I would also suggest waiting a bit longer, because we are at the bull year, so the price is a lot, so if you do it at November 2025, then it will go down a lot more, at 2026, when it is famously a bear year based on 4 year cycle, and in that case you will be a lot more dangerous. The best way to get this is the way to grow bigger and better with time.

Being careful at this point is very necessary for you as a trader. I would have said this investment ought to have been done long ago before now but sometimes it just has to be at the time that you’re financially capable for it. Investing in altcoins with the amount you can afford to lose is a safe one but nevertheless, everyone is investing for the main purpose of getting profit and not just for a trial and error situation.

Your method of buying this altcoins are not bad but it is advisable that you invest more in tokens that you’re sure of high returns than the ones you’re unsure of. This will give you the opportunity to still be in profit even if most of the ones you invested in doesn’t give back good profits in the long run. 

Bitcoin should be your main target, occupying at least 50% of your portfolio, then other strong altcoins like Ethereum, BNB and Solana should also be in good amount before thinking of spending the rest amount on other altcoins with still thorough research on them about their possibilities of future gains.

As other said, it's recommended to DCA only bitcoin and I personally also DCA with bitcoin as altcoin have the tendency to go down and never going up again once hypes faded.

However if you really want to DCA to altcoin just pick fewer altcoins and pick the top ones only like ETH, SOL, etc that got ETF coming their way.
These coins are the most suitable for DCA and honestly whether you DCA with $10 periodically or $100 in one go doesn't matter as long as the price is still not too overbought.
