[Scam] Roobet - Sportsbet

Hi everyone, I would like to report a "scam" that happened to me. On 13/07 I have place a bet on: Ceuta - UD Leiria.

Match informations:
- x2 half
- 40 minutes each half
- 1st half score: 3 - 0
- 2st half score: 1 - 1

As I'm always looking on 2-3 sources before place a bet, I ensure that the match format was x2 half of 40 minutes each. So after 1st half end, I just get the bet payed so I withdraw the money. Then 1 hour later, they voided it saying: the match format was changed so my account get in negative balance.

The void reason (by their answer) was: match format was changed.

Even if I cannot understand "match format was changed" due to three reasons:
1) Match started with x2 half of 40 minutes each (so it wasn't "changed")

4) Why they let us bet on match that gonna be voided anyway? Is maybe because in-case we lose is okay, if we won is voided?

Today I just get a "answer" from their team saying is their provider decision and they cannot change it.


Obviously without answering to my questions:
1) Why let the users bet on it if from start was x2 half of 40 minutes.
2) What mean format "changed" if it starts with x2 half of 40 minutes and end like this.
3) Already knowing that on "friendly" matches sometimes format isn't x2 half of 45 minutes why they add those friendly matches on the sports bet window.

Anyway I decided to deposit back 57$ so the account can be on positive balance, once I found another match that have x2 half of 40 minutes I will bet on over 4.5 on first half to check out if I lose, if is losed or the bet stake gonna be refunded (if gonna be losed it means is a scam strategy), I will keep the topic updated once I bet on a similar match.

Roobet voided your winning bet due to a "match format change" even though the match played as scheduled, which is unfair and suspicious...

Hi, yes you right. I don't think they understood the definition of the word "change", if it was scheduled as x2 half of 45 minutes then yes then the void decision was fine but isn't the case. I tried to explain it to them but it seems like you're talking to a wall, isn't about the bet money (was anyway 50 USD scam) but is about being unfair with their players. Anyway I just make a bet yesterday and I recovered the "scammed" funds, withdrawed and I will make sure to stay away till their sportsbet provider take seriously the players.

Anyway is very funny, in 40 minutes half you got less chance for over 2.5 goals than in 45 minutes (math)  .

You haven't been scammed by them. You can only address it as scam if they don't void the losing bet for the same reason. Don't forget to give an update here when you do that. Roobet has different rules for such events, and they reserve the right to void it. The action has been taken according to Roobet sports betting policy. Still, the odds provider shouldn't list such events if the formation was planned like that when the game was scheduled.

Hi, the match format was played exactly as was scheduled (x2 half of 40 minutes). As far as I know the "change" definition means a change during the match or before it starts (even if they don't understand the change definition and was this the reason, they shouldn't allow us to bet on such events).

A simple example: If I won 1K USD for such error and I'm going to lose them in their casino area or another sports bet then I'm going to finish in debt with them for 1K USD because their own error, I'm not in a casino to borrow some money, that's not a bank! So atleast they should run a check before paying out to evite it being "voided" or "refunded". As a quick example on Rollbit once a similar bet happen it get refunded when match starts and it disappear from bet screen list!

So yeah, can be a "scam" strategy or incompetence, I won't use anymore their sportsbet area so I'm not going to test anymore, I just moved to another casino provider. All i wanted is to warn about their unfair sportsbet provider. Have a good day!
