1. Claim of using browser to mine Bitcoin

As stated on BITCOIN MINING INTRO & RULES OF THIS SUBFORUM - READ BEFORE POSTING, you can't mine Bitcoin meaningfully even with fastest CPU, GPU or FPGA.

2. Claim of unrealistic hashrate boost

They claim they have unique technology called boost mining speed up to 400x.

Cloud.Boost is unlimited speed without power consumption! It allows you to add a multiplier to your basic hashrate. For example, you have a basic mining speed of 10.000 H/s. Add Cloud.Boost x100 to it and your hashrate will transform into an incredible 1.000.000 H/s! Different multipliers are available for different browser versions, and you can activate multiple Boosts to reach any desired speed.

3. Excessive permission on their mobile browser.

There are so many questionable permission. For example, why browser need to add/remove account on my Android device? For comparison, Firefox on Android have far less permission.

4. Privacy issue

Yes, your browsing history can be used for advertising/marketing purpose.

5. Pyramid/MLM referral system

Looks like its been around since 2018 and is recently making a comeback.

It seems a CryptoTab happened to my son's laptop. He said that his laptop suddenly slowed after installing a script or something on his laptop. It looks like the script stuff with malware cryptotab and steals the CPU power.
The laptop is very hot when I check it until I find the culprit that looks like a miner on the browser that keeps hijacking the CPU. I'm glad it didn't end up the same as yours. If ever it happens, I can repair it myself.
My son's laptop is infected with almost all viruses and malware because the majority of the scripts he uses contain malware. Usually he plays Roblox with no cryptocurrency or money involved, so I just clean it with Malwarebytes and Kaspersky.

Hackers are constantly developing new ways to exploit and victimize innocent people, so be extremely cautious about any files you download and use on your PC/laptop.

Anything that sounds easy to earn would no doubt pull in users like moths to a flame, somemore with it being a web browser.

Based on the recent reviews, they seem to be allowing first withdrawals and banning/ prohibiting the subsequent ones.

This account I've seen (logfiles) is also promoting a scam called BetPanda. I think the profile deserves a red flag so everyone is warned. There are countless threads on BetPanda in the Scam Accusations board about how they steal deposits and refuse to pay winnings. The platform also false advertises as anonymous when they demand KYC.

Bros @haircombint, even if Betpanda is a scam, you're wasting your time because this thread isn't the right one for it. Go ahead & create your own thread about it & don't forget to provide solid evidence. If you can't, you could be considered a defamer.

it's basically adware, possibly even malware, that turns any device it's on into a zombie.

it's part of the gray make money corner of the internet, they basically pay you pennies (if they don't scam you) to use your device bandwidth to spam you with ads and whatever else they do in the background with you knowing or not.

They show you ads, use your bandwidth, and your personal data to show you personalized ads so they can make more money. I never used this browser, so I do not have any idea how it works. Mostly, the users install apps/softwares without checking what kind of permission the apps are asking for. We use different types of camera apps, photo manipulator apps, Free VPN, and many more. But if you check deeply, most of these apps have access to your entire device, which is unnecessary. These apps are stealing data and selling them on the black market.

I don't know what browser give you BitTorrent token. But IMO brave browser have far less red flags than this CryptoTab. Source code of brave browser is available and their token reward is opt-in/optional.

you are right there, it's a full package. you get all the wares in a single app. that's thier business model and is how they make money, since the "crypto mining" is just a front.
i'm also pretty sure they sell the device bandwidth as proxies to bad actors or something similar, botnets, ad fraud, etc...

Hahaha, that’s an absolutely accurate description of what happened.  

This is the fate of anyone who puts their hands in the hands of scammers and promote them. In the end, they find themselves drinking from the same cup they made innocent people drink from.

I'm not sorry for what happened with @Stakefast, because it appears he knew he was promoting a scam, yet he continued the pyramid marketing for this fraudulent browser in order to profit from the pockets of innocent people.

So yes, he shouldn’t be lying in bed with dogs, because those who keep their company don’t escape the fleas… and perhaps something even worse.
