Am I allowed to bump someone else's thread?  Cheesy If I am, bump. I asked NotATether to consider including both of our threads in his challenge.

As far as I read testnet LND might have trouble finding the node to sync but since I already run my own I should not have any problem right?
You are confusing two separate things. There are Bitcoin nodes and there are Lightning Nodes. If you are on any network (mainnet, testnet), you need both Bitcoin and Lightning nodes to sync from. If your Bitcoin node is running and fully synced, you still need other people's Lightning nodes to sync your own Lightning node to the network. Is that clear?

Yes you're allowed to bump, not going through this thread long time. Thanks for bringing this topic on sight again. Lately watching lot's of user's showing their interest to learn how to run a proper node.

I am running Bitcoin Core on mainnet as well as on testnet 4 and I believe I can try running my LN node on testnet too so if you have any experience on trying the Lightning node on testnet4 then just let me know if there is any difference with these steps?

As far as I read testnet LND might have trouble finding the node to sync but since I already run my own I should not have any problem right?

Are you trying to say that you would like to experience the lnd node on testnet phase? Maybe you're reffering to this - have an sneak peak on this - How to use regtest - the definitive guide

Bumping This Topic for newbies.

I was newbie like you guys when I started this, there was no suitable tutorial regarding dedicated for windows. Still after countless try , eror, completely new topic , new terms I learnt and complete LND node run and participated NotATether node run campaign. It's glad too see that after watching my Topic lot's of folks were able to run their node successfully.

Warning: Please do not PM me requesting 1-to-1 guidance via screen sharing or remote desktop to run an LND node. I do not offer such services and will not be providing them. Unsolicited PMs may be considered suspicious.

Those who we're in trouble, stuck in some phase still can Pm me on my Telegram Handle - @Minemme (Telegram username). You guys are welcome , but do not expect me do everything for you.

You’ve already made nice tutorial for running node on Windows and honestly that one is enough. Everything was explained step by step in a very clear and organized way, so there’s almost no need for anyone to ask for help through screen sharing or remote desktop again. I also used your tutorial to run my node and even though faced some small issues in between, I was able to discuss with you and sort it out. But I completed everything fully by following your tutorial. Thank you for helping everyone like this and taking your time to make a tutorial on how to run a node.
