Benfica will be travelling to an important away fixture this week. Under the management of José Mourinho, Benfica will be keen to continue their winning streak. With their recent rise in form, they seem to have shaken off their poor run. They are the favourites against Braga, but the Braga away game will not be easy for them. Although Benfica has a clear advantage in matches between the two teams, Braga will push them hard until the final whistle.
Sporting Lisbon will face Rio Ave at home. They will not want to slip up in their home game this week, as Benfica travel to Braga, so I expect a clear victory from them. Rio Ave are not a team that causes them problems, and Sporting have had a clear advantage in their recent encounters.

Regarding the Braga vs Benfica match, I see it as a draw. Braga could lose, but at home they don't usually lose, they only draw. And Benfica isn't that good away from home, and as we know, playing at home makes a difference, and Braga is putting up a good fight. So, at least pre-match, I would predict a draw.

I ended up not updating, but this reading was very good. It's very important that you consider draws in your bets; they're rarely discussed. And remember that playing at home is very strong for teams in all situations in the standings. This analysis yielded a very interesting odd for me.

If you had placed a multi-game bet on Benfica to draw or win + Sporting to win + Porto to win, you would have gotten a decent odd like I did. Luckily, Benfica didn't lose; they drew, but it was a game where they struggled a lot. Honestly, it was disappointing to watch, but at least Benfica didn't ruin my bet. Sporting is winning and has already scored 2 goals. I see that I'm going to get all 3 games right. As a Benfica fan, I didn't like how they were dominated by Braga; their squad is very weak.

But Benfica's second half was very good. What's hard to understand is why they didn't play like that from the start. The third goal, which was disallowed, was a bit strangely disallowed.

Now, the gap to the leaders is wider. Nothing is lost, but it's become much more difficult.

Braga played quite impressively, I didn't think they could do that and this match ended with a draw, however this match was held in Braga therefore Braga could play better, 2-2 is a difficult score to accept.

The gap is getting bigger for Benfica to get to the top, even though they haven't experienced a defeat like Porto, Benfica has had too many matches end in a draw which means they don't have many points.

And mind you, I even said twice here in this thread that this game was very likely to end in a draw, but I ended up not betting
If I had bet, Benfica would have lost, hehehehe


Benfica is still undefeated, but they are now 7 points behind Porto, with one more game to play, and the gap could reach 10 points when Porto plays against AVS SAD

In Benfica's defense, this game is not easy, against Braga at home
And as I also said, Braga has improved a lot in the national league, as they had started poorly

In this season, Porto leading from front, and they are going to be ahead of their opponent with good difference of points, this could be big success for them while Sporting CP is having the best attack but due to early loses, now they are settled for second spot with possible 5 points difference.

League is going to enter in second phase with most chances if any big team having of any injury issues, they are going to be staying without any problem. Benfica is doing good job but Sporting CP is also having good depth which will allow them to stay ahead of them. Braga is also improving, but they are already lost their chance for top spot, this is going to be definite problem for them.

Porto are playing very comfortably against AVS, a match in which they have established clear superiority. They are leading 1–0 with Samu’s goal in the 48th minute, but they need at least one more goal to secure the win.

If the match ends with a Porto victory, the point difference with their closest rival will increase to 5, which would be a big advantage in the title race. There are about 30 minutes left in the match, so we’ll see if the score changes.
