I guess my back is against the wall that time, jobless so how I kind proceed with gambling then? So I just completely stop and have to fight it inside. It's very hard because there will be times that I have some money, but then again, with my relationships crumbling and I have a kid that time with you, I just pray that I will survived this ordeal.

That's how I do it, self-awareness and learn how to control and prioritized. Until I got a job but then I don't gamble that much after that bad experience. So now, I still play but unlike before that I will play all the money that I got, from my paycheck and even taking a multiple loans.

But after reading your post, you said that you are unemployed, which means you cannot gamble, and that reminds me of my past when I still wanted to gamble but felt confused because I had no money to gamble since I was unemployed. People who gamble are mostly those who have money, and those who don't have money definitely can't gamble. I always find it strange that unemployed people like to gamble because where do they get the money from? So, the point is that you haven't stopped gambling, you've just reduced it, and that's the same as me, who always enjoys gambling but only when there's a good opportunity and a good moment. I have not been addicted but if you need advice, I can give because not all counselors are gamblers. But as a responsible gambler, gambler, I have an experience in the field. Addiction is not something you can stop at once but it is a gradual process. At first, you have to limit your gambling funds. Don't visit gambling centers frequently again. And always engaged yourself with work.

Changing your habits can often save you from addiction. However, now online gambling has become much easier. That is why it becomes very difficult for those who become addicted to it. if those who have experienced a big loss once become addicted and think about not falling into such problems in the future, then they will refrain from taking big risks on their own. And I agree with you that you should bet by keeping the limit fixed .  when you learn to control your emotions, you will be able to bet within your limits. Yes, but initially I didn't identify it as an addiction because I played occasionally, and as I imagine happens to most people, I started winning, that is, I had a good streak which made me think I was sure of what I was doing, then, as is typical in this type of problem, I started losing, and what began as a game for fun turned into betting to recover what I had lost.
I must confess that at first, it was very uncomfortable for me to accept that I had no control. The truth is, it's hard when you realize that what used to be fun now causes you anxiety because of your losses, and the more you lose, the more anxious you become to play, believing that you can win back everything you've lost.
In short, no one helped me overcome my addiction, but there was one person who spoke to me strongly, let's say they told me the truth to my face, and that made me react. For a while, I stayed away from anything related to gambling advertising, I changed my routines and schedules, and to be honest, I don't consider myself cured, but I am more aware. Today, I gamble very sporadically and in a controlled manner. I learned to set limits for myself.

Even doing that doesn't mean addiction can't set in. It can. Addictive behaviour usually creeps in gradually. It's an attachment to whatever we feel we like doing and often going back to doing it, harmlessly. Even the gambler may think they're doing well and are in their right senses until others begin to notice their attachment to whatever it's they're doing. We tend to look at addiction in a negative perspective because most people who are addicted are wrecked and look wretched. I am a little bit addicted. I was lucky because I got some jobs that can distracted my mind from gambling. I was busy at that year and finally, decide to leave gambling.

I never thought that I was addicted before because the feeling is almost the same. I played gambling as usual but I admitted that I used much money, more than I spend now.

Getting out of addiction depends on the gambler because is something that need discipline all the time and it's very hard for someone who is addicted to follow your advice, rather they would start seeing you as a distraction due to not letting them do what they like. My advice is, they shouldn't be too greedy because obviously gambling is not a source of income they should always try and work more hard on other things.

No, I have never come close to gambling addiction before because I hardly gambles, and even when I gamble, I only do it on weekends, when their are higher numbers of games available to choose from, since it's sport betting I only game on, if am gambling.

Furthermore, in my neighborhood I have seen guys that have gotten addicted in the past, so with the way they are and the negative feeling and impression they instill in me with their activities then, I think it helps me to stay off gambling aggressively which I think is the main reason for addiction, because if a gambler gamble less frequently, his chances of addiction is close to zero.

If it's fun and just completely fun then why gambling? Imagine gambling without money it's just very basic that we will get bored in few minutes of gameplay but there are games that we can play for hours or non stoppable with amazing graphics, interface, story so the money is what makes the gambling exciting but we should know our limits and there is no alternative to luck when it comes to the winning.

It’s not easy to truly say you’re playing just for fun when real money is involved. Even if you tell yourself it’s only entertainment, losing every bet makes it hard to feel that way. I still struggle to forget the losses when I try to play for fun, because what really pulls me in is the thrill the uncertainty of the outcome and the feeling that everything depends on luck. When the money is gone, that excitement quickly turns into regret and the fun doesn’t feel the same anymore.

This is mostly the case with my guys that are also into the gambling and also faced the same experience that made him to stop the gambling almost immediately because it got to a point where the damage became too much and he had no choice than to face the reality, I am sure if nothing has happened, he would have continued with him.
