That is because you know pretty well the implications of excessive gambling and you were wise enough to follow the right steps in your gaming streak, however many end up falling in to gambling addiction due to their constant loss chasing and seized to acknowledge the fact that gambling is for fun and any other personal expectations from it can result doom.

it's very hard for someone who is addicted to follow your advice, rather they would start seeing you as a distraction due to not letting them do what they like. My advice is, they shouldn't be too greedy because obviously gambling is not a source of income they should always try and work more hard on other things.

Any attempt of you trying stopping or advising a gamble addict you will automatically become an enemy because the folks in question have been blindfolded by it and as such his not ensure of a right frame of mind.  Perhaps all effort in doing so is absolutely waste of time so the best you can do for a friend that's already covered by gambling addiction is to deny every possible access of him gambling,  or possible take him for a vacation perhaps somewhere he will rarely gain access to any form of gambling activities.

Specially if its your first time on which you would definitely comes into a point that you've been trying out to make money via gambling on which you've been that hyped up by someone whom you do able to see on social media specially into those who shows that big amounts of wins, without even trying out to realize or know on how hard to get those things considering that everything is really just that basing up on pure luck. Addiction comes in at the time that you've been already spending up too much without even minding already on how much you have lost, because the primary thing that you do have in mind is that you do able to hit up those jackpots and would be taking back those loses back and ending up profitable. Well yeah, this could happen but just like been said that everything matter with luck.

As for addiction then I did really have that kind of situation back in the past but something that still on moderation or control. Imagine gambling without money it's just very basic that we will get bored in few minutes of gameplay but there are games that we can play for hours or non stoppable with amazing graphics, interface, story so the money is what makes the gambling exciting but we should know our limits and there is no alternative to luck when it comes to the winning.

If a gambler gambles continuously. And even if he uses a small amount, the chances of addiction are high. Money is not the driving force behind addiction and neither is a gambler chasing money. Especially those who come for fun and constantly spend a lot of time gambling. They are the ones most at risk as their gambling gradually becomes a habit. I see some of my friends, they are addicted to gambling like this. We all know it is very difficult to win at gambling, and lose money all the time. If I were to answer your question, I would definitely say that I was not an addicted gambler, but rather a non-professional gambler. Sometimes, if I had some money left over from my spending, I would use that money to gamble two or four times a week or a month out of curiosity. This should not be called an addiction in any way. However, with the help of other family members, I am no longer addicted to gambling as much as I used to be. Rather, due to my involvement in daily work, I do not have the opportunity to participate in gambling anymore. However, occasionally, bets are taken on one or two cricket or football matches out of curiosity.

In my case, I have dealt with one brother getting addicted to dices back in 2016-2017, during the most critical phase of the economical crisis in this country (due to inflation), he would spend hours and hours playing dices and also chasing some losses, until one day he lost a total of 50€ (which was an important amount of money back them).

Fortunately, he managed to get out his addiction and quit gambling for the sake of money, he had never fallen for gambling addiction again, though, sometimes I suspect he could if he is not cateful enough.

You are right, if he does not take care of himself enough, he will never be able to stop himself from gambling. He must be confident and careful about himself and before doing any work, he must be careful about the work and give it importance and have confidence in himself that he can do it.

However, another important thing in the case is that if family members are attentive to the origins of the gambling addiction and are very caring, it becomes much easier for the gambler to get out of the addiction.

I have been addicted to gambling for 3 years and couldn't save a dime for myself because every little money that comes my way I will use it to bet yet I was on loosing streak but I was hoping that one day I will win big and recoup all I have lost in the past but I was unable to win, it was a friend that called me one faithful morning and asked me a touching question, he said all this years you have been gambling how much have you won from it? And I was so cold that I couldn't answer the question because I have won nothing instead I have lost alot.

It was that moment he told me to have a budget for myself and don't play every game I come across and I should take a break from gambling, I followed his instructions and was liberated from being an addict to gambling, so since then I gamble responsibly and whenever I realizes I'm on loosing streak, I stop playing. One of the reason why a person who want to gamble because they have a lot of time they arent getting busy at all and what does the gambling offering as part of their services?. Its entertainment once you play you didnt notice the time youve gotten while playing because you are enjoying, you drive a different experience and fun so if you are kind of person who does not have anything to do possible you might get addicted. You said your bet for entertainment now? Is gambling an entertainment center? Before I don't understand at tall. There nothing about entertaining in gambling, because it will still cost your money and you will gain nothing in return. In real entertainment you have fun and joy at last unlike in gambling.

I admire you for being able to monitor yourself and didn't become addicted when you've been losing a lot already. Because not everyone who's struggling with the market is able to do that. The best advice I have for a Gambler who is fighting gambling addiction, is that they should first reduce the rate of gambling, secondly they should gamble with what they can afford to lose. I don't think so, for me gambling has always been a form of entertainment. I can stop at any time, and it was no different in the past, I don't bet large amounts that could have any impact on my finances, so I can confidently say that gambling for me is just a game for fun, nothing more. And now I play even more often, because in the past I bet less frequently and could take much longer breaks from gambling. For various reasons, mainly work, but also for other reasons.

I have never been addicted to gambling, but I have been addicted to computer games. Now, I understand that my addiction formed 1) because those games were challenging 2) if my parents were much more strict to me and were able to monitor my free time, I would not have spent so much time on games. Pretty much same reasons can be reasons of gambling addiction. As to gambling addiction, I have some people I know that were into gambling 10-15 years ago, I know that they continue gambling now. But their addiction is an addiction+pastime. They know little things to do at their free time.

I am also somewhat similar to you because I also gamble sometimes, but only with a small amount of money and for fun. In my opinion, there is nothing wrong with gambling as long as it does not interfere with our activities. The problem lies with people who like to gamble but indirectly destroy their future because they are too addicted and even borrow money to gamble. But you are amazing for not gambling for months, and I think that's a good thing because gambling should only be done when we are in a good mood. I couldn't go months without gambling like you; I could only go a week or two at most, and it definitely depends on my finances. You are doing the right thing because you are not too addicted to gambling, and we should not let gambling ruin our future.  

If a gambler, without religious or other cultural problems, gambles every day according to certain rules, I don't think it will be a problem for him. And the rules must include that he is gambling within his ability to lose and at the same time, he must have a separate bankroll budget for gambling every month or every week so that even if he loses every bet, his losses are under control.
In my case, I apply this more because I think that in gambling, our chances of losing will be high and the chances of winning or getting the jackpot will be very low, so to keep my losses under control, I try to wager lower amounts as well as low bankroll for gambling.
