In some countries, the numbers are enormous (such as Singapore, Switzerland), and yet everyday life is stressful: long working hours, high rent, and a lack of free time. Meanwhile, other countries such as Norway and Germany are working on making life easier to ordinary citizens: less work, more leisure time, healthier, more trust

I see more and more people (including me and my friends) wondering: Is all the money worth anything when you are tired, stressed, or anxious about the future? In others, youths are unable to secure decent employment and resort to crypto to stay alive, such as in Nigeria. In Guyana, new oil money is helping some, but only if it is managed well

For me, being rich means having freedom like being able to do what you want, enjoy time with your family and not stress about money.

Some people have all the money but live in fear, can’t walk around alone, always worried about getting robbed.
That’s not real freedom, and honestly, I don’t consider that truly being rich.

Being rich is becoming more and more rare but also the rich keep owning more exorbitant amounts.
In the current economy, the rich become richer while everyone else suffers from inflation and low to non-existant rises in wages.

The gap between the rich and anyone else keeps widening and the new Trump tax code is an indication for that. The US's poorest will end up paying even more tax, in an economy that inflation has already made them suffer.

It's important to note that inflation actually benefits some people. Prices almost alsways rise more than production costs because companies have to maintain their profit margins too. So part of inflation is profit too, especially on goods you can't avoid buying such as food. But being rich doesn't mean you'll need exponentially more food as much as your wealth. So rich people suffer much less from inflation. The business owners and those directly tied to business profits like executives even benefit from it.

The rich class is becoming more and more distinct from the working class every day. But will the working population realise this?

 There's this saying that money can't buy you happiness but it can at least buy you something. . In the economy where we find ourselves, being rich is a bonus cause you can get access to the best things of life; Treat yourself to that vacation in a foreign country without thinking to forego it because you've got bills to pay.
Before I also used to feel that when one is rich, it's because of the number of expensive cars, the beautiful house and the amount of money he has in bank account or wallet that defines it all but I got to understand that different people have what they can qualify as being rich but the most important of them all for me is when you've got peace of mind and good health.

Being rich means not going to work because you don't have a choice or because if you can't go that you can't eat or take care of yourself. It is a state whereby you're able to meet all your major needs and can leave comfortably to the extent of extending an helping hands to others that might not be as privileged as yourself.

You must not have too much to be in competition with anybody before you can be tagged rich. As long as your income can solve all your needs, then you're rich. The state of being rich might not grant you happiness but it sure gives you the calmness that comes with solving all your financial needs by yourself without seeking any helpt from a third party.

Not really sure if my country has grown, lol. There seems to be issues from the past that continue to persist until now. I feel also that individually there wasn't much growth if we are talking about wealth at least.

Is it not possible to have all three? We should strive for most in life and not just settle for one. We should cover everything that we lack.

the growth of my country is for only the rich. the poor people got more poorer in past 10-11 years

don't feel secure at all, at night i only sleep for like 2-3 hours and then anxiety hits me thinking about the future

All matters about on the contentment you do have into your life on which if you are that earning sufficient for you to be able to provide the needs of your family or would be able to survive then it would be just that fine, but its not that bad to make out some move or step for us to have that more better life condition in terms of finances and this is why we do make out such step for us to deal up with things that it is more that risky. Contentment in life will differ on what kind of personality you do have as a person. Being rich isnt always talking about money because happiness isnt something that could be anytime be bought by money. It is just that we are that focusing too much about into that buying power or financial capacity. It cant be denied that when you do have the money then you can do almost everything on which you would be having that thriving and grinding on achieving up such goal.

Each one of us does have that goal on which of course all of us will be that wanting to become rich and thats a normal goal or approach. If you are contented on what you do have now then just stay still and do normal stuffs as you do like. Being respected by other people or being trusted then its somewhat can be bought by money in todays society but this isnt that applicable on most circumstances.

No, my country makes the economy worse in my country. Our government are not yet good examples.

I have my own work and it makes me feel secure. If I depend on the government, it will not be easy at all. They still have job in those countries but no job or underemployed job are what is in my country.

Yes, I will prefer less time and less stressful work, more money and more trusted people.

The economy situation in my country is getting worse, luckily it's not yet affect my life because I invest my money on global assets.

I still choose more money, that's the tradeoff, if you want money, then you have to sacrifice almost everything. That's why, people who guide or tell to become rich, they're not mix it with how to be happy, because rich and happy are two different things.

I'm sure, if you still anxious about the future, it's indirectly you're saying you don't have a big amount of money or not rich. Rich people won't anxious about the future because they know they have power aka money.

The value of a resource will depend on the need for that resource. For a sick person, health will be more valuable than money. For a young, healthy and strong person - money, since he does not have it or has very little of it.

You can have all these countries ranked at the top, but people on the ground still do not feel safe or truly free. Then, what is the use of being a millionaire if you cannot walk outside at night, or if you spend most of your life anxious about someone taking it all away? I relate a lot to what you said about enjoying time with family. That is probably the only "wealth" that matters when you zoom out. We see the same thing in the stats: the places where people actually have more free time and trust (places like Norway or Denmark) tend to have better lives overall, even if the salaries are not always sky-high

To me, chasing the highest GDP or stacking cash for the sake of it just turns us into targets, or even isolates us from real community. There is this silent trade-off happening between feeling rich and feeling at peace. The older I get, the more I think it is the second one that actually matters

Everyone should understand that there is a clear difference between being rich and being wealthy. Someone can be rich for one day and return back to bring poor just after that day. Yea, you can think about people who win very huge amounts through gambling. For the few days that money will be available, the fortunate person can be said to be rich. His purchasing power increases, he can buy a car and what ever he wants during those periods. Once he exhausts his money, he goes broke again.

There is more to being wealthy. Wealth involves assets and generational flow of income. Wealthy people have assets generating money while rich people work their ass out to make that money.

A good number of people we see around us stressing to make money are working towards being rich. Only the smart ones invest alot so they don't have to stress that much to make money. Being wealthy is freedom.

For someone that doesn't want much but just a comfortable lifestyle of contentment, they defined being rich as to be able to provide for every little need they want, such as owning a house, getting married, being able to provide for their wife, their kids and then retire with some savings or investment that can take care of them and their wife till they pass on.
 Considering having all the materialistic things in the world, it is another form of richness but it's not everybody that seek such kind of  riches, and being overly rich in such manner doesn't come easily, perhaps it's not everyone that have the muscle for it, that's why majority of people just want a comfortable life and it can still be considered being rich as long as you have peace of mind and can be able to afford your needs. I have not really started a life since am still under my parents and also still schooling but I don't really want to be extravagantly rich, I just need money that can take care of myself and my future family.

I've always lived this way, focusing on free time and family, which is why I have worked from home for the last few years. I feel like commuting to work every day is such a waste of time. Some of my friends spend almost 2 hours every day driving to and from work. That's ridiculous. I'd rather earn less and relax.

Yes, mainly because I can buy more things, but I'm not getting any handouts from the government. I still have to pay for everything, but I appreciate better roads and stuff.

Less because of the arms race and I live in the EU so Russia is a bit of an Issue  here.
Also problem with migrants that the left wants to invite and the right kick out.

My life hasn't changed with the growth of my country instead things are getting more expensive but I don't blame only my government because my country isn't the only ones experiencing the hardship in the world. Others are experiencing it too because the world's economy is experiencing a decline and this is affecting every part of the world. Being rich from my own understanding covers all areas of life because you can't be rich financially yet you're having issues in other aspects of life.

When you're rich, it has to be in health, wealth and knowledge. Not having all this three isn't real wealth because when you're rich but sick, you won't enjoy your money instead wasting it on medication and health care. Being rich is commonly now associated with only having money but it shouldn't be that way.

In my country, things have become so much worse to the extent that the gap between the rich and poor is so wide. It's so bad that there is almost no middle class anymore. At this point, I can't explain what being rich in this country means. I mean, you can have a good job that pays very well and gives you a lot of time, and it may still not be enough because of how bad the inflation is. So I don't know the level you have to get to before you can be considered rich over here. Maybe when I get to that level, I'll know

There has been no growth in my country, especially in the economy, for quite a while now. I can't remember the last time we had economic growth, but yeah, my life has changed. I have gotten more skills, a degree, and I'm in a better place financially.

I don't think I feel secure right now, but compared to how I was before, I think I feel more secure.

It's easily more money for me. Time will come when I will need more time, but at this point in my life and career, more money is what I need. I already have a few people I can trust, and I think that's okay for now.

- Yes but I want to see others being helped by our government to have a better life. They need more incentives for ordinary citizens like me.
- Secure in a manner about my future or the actual security? I can say that I am feeling secured but we know that these days, there could be some people that might think of me as a rich guy but I am not. I am living quite well because I've got more freedom than others.
- Having more money gives me more time to do other things that I am passionate with and so, I choose more money because that also gives security and not headache to be problematic with necessities..

I am surprised you mentioned Nigeria here but yeah, you are not far from it. It’s not strange that societies still battling how to curb corruption within its political class and have had far little success with it, with the politicians still trying to build generational wealth at the expense of the citizens they are meant to serve, the youths have to look elsewhere, somewhere beyond the reach of their claws for an asylum. Many find this with Bitcoin, far from any corruption and effects of centralization.

However, on the context of being rich, you only become truly rich when what you’ve got at your expense doesn’t make you worry on it ever diminishing. At the very least, you have enough to share.

- Absolutely not. As i live in a developing country, economic growth means less national dept and less national expanses. It did never mean more investments or less joblesssness.
- When you are in a developing country ruled by corruption politicians and beauraucracy, either you are entrepreneur or employee, you can never feel secure.
- More time for myself and my family + as much money to secure my family.
