What are some of the best books you read on the subject of money, investing and economics?

for me the first two that I'd recommend at an entry level are

"The psychology of money" by Morgan Housel
and "the richest man in babylon" by George s. Clason

both are really good to get the concepts and principles on investing and how to deal better with money

but there are many other good ones
what are some you'd recommend?

I have not read any book before about money and investment and I have not read anything online about it online unless the ones that we have talked about on this forum. I believe in not spending lavishly and buying only things that are important and I know it is good to do business.

I know about bitcoin investment also.

There is one that people often talked about on this forum before which is rich dad poor dad.

If you are Trying to read about a book on money go for a book on practical ways to work it out. My best combination is a book on negotiation and persuasion, I don’t know where he got it from but it was my friend that is successful in what he does that told me about this.
The best book on persuasion I have read is The psychology of persuasion by Kevin Hogan, truly if you read this book you will be able to persuade people to doing what you want or find a perfect balance where you are the person can both win, it is really a powerful book from page one to the end and lots of real examples where sited so it is a very practical book I highly recommend it.

Then on Negotiation I haven’t read much but Never spilt the difference by Chris Voss is more than a book it is a book you can use in different areas of your life. I have practiced something I learnt from this book and it was great.

The psychology of Persuasion and Never spilt the difference are popular so it should be easy finding them.

Whatever book you may want to read this time, this book might just have an audio version on youtube. There was once a time when I wanted to read a book a woman was reading on the coffee shop. I tried searching about it online and found an audio book uploaded on youtube. Seem a better way than reading it myself as I can just use my headphone.

And just like this "The richest man in babylon" I saw its audio book on youtube as well.  May try to listen to it.

There are countless books on finance and investing available if you search through a search engine, but it's important to find the right book that's easy to understand, especially when reading, because otherwise, the reading can be boring.

I once read "The Richest Man in Babylon," and I found it to be excellent. It's concise, concise, and very clear. It's excellent for teaching us the basic principles of investing and raising awareness of its importance. It's a great book for those looking to get started.

Personally, I’ve never been a big fan of that kind of book i always feel like I’m getting scammed when I buy those.

You could say it’s the same principle as going to the gym  everything is available online you don’t need to keep inventing new workout variations to make progress even with just basic stuff, you can build a good body.

It’s kind of the same with money. The only real obstacles are where you live and how much you earn.

Living in a poor third world country? Yeah, it’s always hard to get your ass moving forward in that kind of environment

What are some of the best books you read on the subject of money, investing and economics?

but there are many other good ones
what are some you'd recommend?
The two books I read that influence my life for the better and of good motivation are  Money Untold Essence by Steve Colt and Encrypted Abundance by David West, there are many other good recommendation but don't miss out on this first two mentions. If you surf through this topic Drop a good book, get merits you will see so many other good recommendation.

Indeed, despite i am someone who loves book and regurly read 4-5 books every year (sometimes more but never less), I did never believe that those books acting as imvestment advisors are really worth reading. I did never heard of someone succeeded in investments after reading any book including books mentioned in replies above.

My response to Which book you think is the best about money management and investments, is any book that explain the work process in any sector. Like you read a book about the bees life cycle if you want to be a succeful honey provider.

I have never read a book about investment or economics. I prefer to search the internet for information about finance and investment, where I find more references... although reading books is better, I haven't bought any books to read yet.

Maybe in the future I will try to buy recommended books, but I am looking for something meaningful.
Perhaps some people will recommend books that they consider to be the best, and those will become my own references for purchasing books.

All the books written by Peter Lynch for a start. Then I'd recommend watching all the Youtube video captures of Warren Buffett at the Berkshire Hathaway annual general meetings as he shares some epic advice for anyone who wants to learn about investing. He's arguably the worlds greatest investor and one of the richest people on the planet, but you can glean a lot from the way he operates by watching those meetings. There's a lot of fluff out there, by people who have not really had all that much success but know how to share general advice - be wary who you use as your idols. Things like "the richest man in Babylon" give you some basic tips and moral pointers but don't really help you navigate the world as it exists today.

Napoleon Hill's Think and Grow Rich was my best financial motivational book. It changed my mentality about wealth creation. Rich Dad Poor Dad by Robert T. Kiyosaki also influenced my investment mindset as a young boy.

I don't read financial or motivational books any more because of limited time and technology advancement. There are many brief but impactful financial information on the internet. A simple search can bring numerous information from different sources.

I haven't read any book on investing and financial motivation on my own, but I could remember when I was in my first year in the university, my friend was eager to make money. He brought this book 'the rich dad and poor dad' to our hostel and was reading it. I took the book and glance through it for some reasons and I got the message of the book.

However, the internet has a lot of financial motivational books which you can search for and read them. I know that investment is a good way to make your money work for you which is the main reason why I am happy that I am investing in bitcoin for the future.

Like most people I've read the popular rich dad, poor dad , the book is very impactful and it changed my perspective about finance and how differently the rich and poor thinks. I have also read a couple of other financial motivational books which are very inspiring but I don't bother about them anymore because they don't manifest realistically for most of their readers. They will teach you 10 or 100 ways to become rich but the percentage of readers that got rich through their motivations are probably less than 2%. It's not that the readers are not capable of following their principles but environmental and economical factors are limiting them to succeed.

They make their authors richer and more famous than impacting most of the readers practically. I like books that focuses on building characters or attitude like '7 habits of highly effective people ', they are realistic.

What are some of the best books you read on the subject of money, investing and economics?

I went to school were I was thought about economy and entrepreneurship from the foundation at my elementary level. With all being categorized under financial management and the orientation of creating wealths, I grew up exploring with how personally creative and hardworking I could be by effectively putting those efforts and ideals to reality and that was all my guides to what I've achieved.
I also feel more comfortable in sharing ideals and confiding from people that are ahead of me such as mentors who're likely my role models.

I was never relied on reading books that's specifically subjected to monetary or economy. Although as I advanced in my education, some edition books were recommended to us as schoolers just in subject to our academy curriculums which we were only reading to pass our exams as most of them had not contents of exploit. I just do random research on my own relatively to my financial success matters.
I solely made myself relevant at any given conference with the subject to growing wealth and not literally on reading books of particular authors.

what are some you'd recommend?

I think rich dad poor dad is one of the best book regarding financial knowledge. It taught me the difference between assets and Liabilities and why the poor remains poor and how the rich make money work for them. I liked how the author Robert Kiyosaki used real life examples of his Two "Dads" that contrast two different approaches to money. Definitely a must read who want to improve their financial mindset.

A book by Benjamin Gram called "The Intelligent Investor" literally blew my mind when I was still a student, and after that I recommended it to all my friends and did not hesitate to call it the bible of investing.
However, I have not read the book called "The Richest Man in Babylon" Although many of my friends recommended it to me and in general I have heard about this book from many sources and rave reviews about it.
Of course, I won’t write about Robert Kiyosaki’s books because everyone already knows them.

I have read The Psychology of Money is enough to help me in talking a lot of things about finance, luck, opportunities, many stories that become lessons in it and it is very confident, I always read it repeatedly, once reading it I think it is less than optimal.

The book that I recommend is the Wealth of Nations this might be very broad in scope but you can understand how a system is made to enrich a country and if you have earlier information in a development then you will see a glimmer of hope to become rich and understand the cause and effect, this work belongs to Adam Smith.

Try sir, by reading the book it feels different, even though you can do it with e-books on the internet or the main points that are often said by writers on social media, but reading the contents of the book feels much better, it will help self-development. The Psychology of Money is highly recommended for you.

There is one that people often talked about on this forum before which is rich dad poor dad.

this is a good one, I read it many years ago
but imo it is really basic
main thing on it is cashflows and assets/liabilities

but worth to read it anyways because it is really short and fast

Think and grow rich is a great one, I really like it
the secrets of the millionaire mind by T Harv Eker is good too

Whatever book you may want to read this time, this book might just have an audio version on youtube. There was once a time when I wanted to read a book a woman was reading on the coffee shop. I tried searching about it online and found an audio book uploaded on youtube. Seem a better way than reading it myself as I can just use my headphone.

And just like this "The richest man in babylon" I saw its audio book on youtube as well.  May try to listen to it.

go for it!

Never split the difference is on my list too but I haven't read it
Negotiate as your life depends on it looks like a good one too

Not directly related to investing but thinking in bets by A. Duke is another great one.

Yeah, it’s always hard to get your ass moving forward in that kind of environment

you don't need to buy the books if you don't want it
most of them are available on libgen or zlbry

interesting, I had the totally opposite experience reading the intelligent investor
really techinical and long and I feel like even if you can learn things about value investing with it we live in a new time of memecoin exuberance where speculation drives value more than principles,
I'd skip it nowadays  Grin

for those interested in trading the best ones I read were

trading in the zone and the disciplined trader by Mark douglas, these are great
and "reminiscences of a stock operator"

Devil takes the hindmost about the history of financial speculation and "Debt" by Graeber about a different history of money questioning the paradigm of barter are also mildly entertaining

Morgan housel will launch a new one soon that I really want to read
the art of spending money about where it's worth to spend.

wealth of nations is one tha I should probably get at some point, must be hard and dense but probably worth it

anyone read "my life as a quant" and "the man who solved the market"

I don't find those books useful. I rather stay around successfully business individuals and from their conversation, daily engagements and ideas I gather enough knowledge to succeed. If I must do my research it should be on the basis of expansion. I have the believe that investment and money is a practical exercise done on the field, books make the whole process complex and difficult to comprehend.

The more I engage the more I do better, the more mistakes I make the better I become.

Some of the best books about money and economics that I recommend everyone read for a basic and essential understanding of money are The Bitcoin Standard and The Fiat Standard by Saifedean Ammous, Broken Money by Lyn Alden, The Price of Tomorrow by Jeff Booth, and The Creature from Jekyll Island by G. Edward Griffin.
