I don’t even feel hyped up when I see an old althlete coming back to the pitch to play - sometimes if you engage in discussion with your fellow fans you’ll see that they too are of the same opinion that the player won’t do as much as people are hyping them up for.

Aside from feeling nostalgia, I think fanaticism for certain teams is more dangerous. Loyalty and honor for the teams you like generally make people lose, or idolizing a specific player is another reason.

That is the best example of when emotions trump reason. For pretty much any sport youth trumps experience as soon as the difference becomes a lot. I know of people who bet on such matches and they often lose money. Sometimes the judges score favorably to not be too harsh on the legends but even that is wrong.

This was the thing I supposed to say or want to mentioned about on which MP vs Barrios on which this is the perfect example. For sure there are tons of people who do made out some bets for MP to win up but since the fight ended up on a DRAW then that do brings out that disappointment in regarding into the decision. If we do try to observe and look at with those scorecards then we can actually say that MP should have won that fight and some been saying that he was robbed on that one. Going back into that nostalgia matters then it wouldnt be so bad to make out some bets as long you are just that making use of the amount that you can afford to lose or simply literally making no all in betting then you would be just that fine. Aside their age, we must also check to know if they are still in the est position to play and perform even if not as before, but having higher tendencies for winning than losing, which is a critical past of it all, we can't because of favourite denied ourselves from winning or facing the real fact, if we play a bet on such, then we have more confidence that they are going to deliver and if this is not visible, then it's more better that we don't attempt at all in supporting them for a win, as we know they can't deliver.

I believe you're talking about boxers, right? People like that, who left the ring on the height of their fame, already have their finances pretty well. They don't return to fighting because they need the money, right?? They won't fight for it. But don't be fooled into thinking they are also entering the ring just for fun... they do want to win!

They obviously miss the adrenaline, but also the glory... Boxing is addictive in terms of adrenaline, competition, and recognition, but I don't think nostalgia alone is enough to make them return into the ring. In my opinion, they want to be the "center of the spotlight" again, to be recognized as an athlete who still capable of being the best and not just someone from the past.
