I have nothing against insurance – but it’s not my passion. Bitcoin is. And I’m wondering if this is really the right path for me.

The Bitcoin industry has different areas like trading, hodling, security, etc. Which area are you interested in? Your passion for Bitcoin shouldn't stop you from having a full-time job. Most people on this forum have a passion for Bitcoin, but they are also gainfully employed in different industries. You don't need to be a full-time trader or hodler.

You need to have money to invest in Bitcoin, which is why having a job is important. Long-term hodling of Bitcoin might not be possible without a stable source of income. My advice start the insurance job because it will help you build your Bitcoin portfolio.

To survive in Bitcoin, you definitely need a source of income. Before you get involved in trading or investing, you definitely need a source of income. It is foolish to ignore the source of income to get involved in Bitcoin.

However, I have various complaints about insurance companies as a source of income. Most of the time, these companies cheat or deceive their customers. They even do not fulfill their promises completely. No matter how big the insurance company is, I would not recommend taking a job there. Because in terms of ethics, I would give that company a 2 out of 10.

No one cares with your jobs except your close people because there's a pride when you have a job that looks prestigious or the dream of most people want.

You can work as a plumber, garbage collector, waitress, staff officer, salesman, manager, developer, president, mafia, sex worker etc, all of them who have interest in Bitcoin, can invest in Bitcoin.

I don't see any work is really about Bitcoin except Bitcoin developer itself, let's say you work in Binance as a customer service, I won't consider it to be "work in Bitcoin".

You can actually follow your passion in Bitcoin and still go about your job. You should let us know if you are new to Bitcoin or there are some levels you have attained. If you are entirely new, it will be exhausting for you to quit this high paying job to focus on your passion. Bitcoin is volatile; depending on what area of Bitcoin interests you, you would still need money to pay your bills and that job is necessary for that purpose.

If I am in your position, I will keep the job and use the money I earn from my job to DCA bitcoin for a period of time till I am confident of my actual stand in the crypto space. So mate, don't make a silly mistake now, you still need your job.

The advice I will give you is build personal relationship with people around you, find a wife or husband if you don't have any, mend any broken relationship you have so that you can enjoy real love and not seeking this type of advice from total strangers.

You can do both if you put your mind to it, luckily for everyone involved in Bitcoin, it gives you the freedom to do other things and it also gives you the time to explore other fields too. To survive in the crypto space you need extra funds extra source of income to enable you hold on to your Bitcoin investment without any interruption, since you know that the salary is attractive I suggest you accept the offer and still pursue your passion which is Bitcoin.

From this thread I'm guessing you are still in the crypto space and trust me when I tell you that you need extra funds so that you can invest more in Bitcoin, being an investor in Bitcoin and making it your only source of income is a very bad idea, more like a bad investment plan, because investing in Bitcoin is more profitable if you holding for a long term and when an emergency arises you might be forced to pull out your investment sooner than later, so take the offer buddy.

Read me... Even those Bitcoin developers offering services to the Bitcoin or crypto related projects do still have side hustles which we call alternative source of incomes because it is not advisable to solely depend on Bitcoin alone.

Nomatter how much you earned as reward or payment on your Bitcoin services, you will still need additional source of income to maximize your financial portfolio.
And as a knowledgeable individual of Bitcoin, you will be interested to Invest on and the volatility of it (Bitcoin) would not let you efficiently stick to your investment goal if you only relies your source of income on your Bitcoin services.

This is what I would do which is to see how it goes. As how OP explained it, it feels like a training for the position once they think OP is suited for the position. In my opinion, this is kinda the same in cryptocurreny where you will see a new crypto and will see later on if it's successful project or not at all just like in the job OP mentioned where the job offered is true or good as they have claimed it to be. It's still up to him if he accepted the job or not and if he did then he has the money to invest in bitcoin.

There are times when you don't need people's advice, if you know something about Bitcoin you should be aware that Bitcoin is not a carrier, it is not a job to put call your passion. If you have a good paying job then focus on it, Bitcoin should be seen as an alternate source of profits, not where you depend to cover up your expenses, which aspect of Bitcoin do you think will generate you profits monthly as you should when your are working in a good company.

Since you really need the advice from community, stick with your new job, use part of the money you earn from the job to build up your portfolio to the size you want, do not  leave it for Bitcoin.

Keep your 9-5 and build on your passion through your job by reading books, doing your research, and participating in events  as much as you can after your 8pm to 10pm after work hours. It is going to be a long drive till you can have the still and money enough to quit. But for now, stay with your 9 - 5 to gain experience.

Buddy, you need to realize that the decision is yours, and here we are only providing advice, and hope it will be the best path. Well, while I don't fully understand the details of your case, perhaps I can understand it a little. So, I think you should accept the job you mentioned, especially if it has the potential for a large or high salary. Because it will be an opportunity for you to earn a source of income, and you can use it for your passion in the future. That includes Bitcoin, as you said, because we know that to reach a big path, we need stepping stones to get there, and we need to be careful where we step. I personally continue to work both online and offline (in the real world), and I do all this for what I want in the future.

You need cash inflow to buy bitcoin, so if your goal is to have more bitcoin then do whatever the job that makes you money. Or are you planning on becoming a developer and creating your own project? That's entirely different but you can't make money by being passionate about bitcoin.

And jobs are not given just like that, you must be a potential candidate which is why it's been offered and I am not having much knowledge about how it works but it's commission-based based if I am not wrong, so more clients then more money for you.

Mate!, I really understand your feelings about this whole situation because on paper, this sounds like a great opportunity to not miss out on, if I were to be you, I will approach this situation by weighing on the two, the advantages and disadvantages side, with this approach you will get a clearer view about a decision to make. However, you are the one who wear your shoes and knows where it's paining you, But if you had spent sometime with the insurance company, you should take the job and earn your good salary, then continue your investment with Bitcoin since you've involved yourself with Bitcoin. There's nothing wrong in giving a shot or it a trial, and besides life is all about risk.

In my understanding you don't want the job because of long hours of work? do you have a capital now to invest in bitcoin, and are willing to hodl no moving or even try to diversified the funds? because, I'm telling you you are going to battle you mind and emotion its a roller coaster ride, do you think someone just get rich buy having a bitcoin?
You have no idea how they battle , not to touch those funds for years.
