Is it wrong to take a temporary break from gambling?

However, fortunately, in those few gambling sessions, I always ended up with a win. Now I am thinking that I want to continue gambling whenever I get lucky, because I think that maybe luck has been on my side lately. And maybe some of you have the same thought. So I am wondering if I should try my luck again after a win, or should I still take a break?

Why it should bother you? just do what you feel is right thing to do. Stop when you have won already and enjoy the profits that you have made on that day. But if you think that you have to go on and you're still in luck, then continue so that you will test if your luck is still in there. We can stop anytime we want to but it's all about our control and how emotional we will be because it's hard to stop when you are no longer following any plans that you have set. And if you do, you can easily have a break and there is nothing wrong with that if you've won or lost a lot already.

It's actually not just a simple question, but it's something that we might have talked about in this board several times on different threads.

That thing in you that keeps on telling you to try again after winning is your confidence growing positively, thinking you are on your winning days. If you follow that thought, you have a higher chance of losing all that you won out of luck, but you can also try a few more hands and still luckily win the bet.

My advice is if you can't advise yourself to stop gambling after winning, you can try a few more hands with lower stakes, and if you end up having one loss, you can close for the day. That way, you will not end up losing everything.

I gamble on sport let’s say I win on three straight weekends won’t make me stop playing on the forth expect i did not have the chance to play a game. I won’t advice you to take a break from gambling because you won on three straight occasions but I will advice you to take a temporary break from gambling when you think you are now getting too addicted to it.

It is not wrong to take a temporary break from gambling, it is up to you to decide what you want to do, you can even request self-exclusion if that is what you want, though that route is mostly for people with addiction issue or people who feel they are spending too much money gambling.

If you win some money, you can withdraw some of it and leave some of it to continue gambling, taking a percent of your winnings gives you a good feeling and you can try again with the funds still left in your account.

Do not pressure yourself. We're gambling to do it so we can actually have fun and if we win some money, better. But if you're too worried about taking a break every day then you are no longer able to help yourself in taking a break. That's why IMO, you should take that break without being guilty and without being bothered. You're just adding pressure and stress to yourself that instead of having fun, you're wasting your energy and time in thinking of it. If you can manage the situation then you can still gamble, you've won a few times but just know you can't be exactly lucky every time.

There is nothing wrong if you will try your luck again as long as the capital or bankroll you will use is not from your previous winnings.

Just set a limit for your next gambling session and have the same discipline as your previous plays so you can take home some profit if you manage to win again.

Taking a break won't help if you have the urge to gamble again. Just always remember that bet responsibly.

I feel like there is no right or wrong answer as ultimately, it still boils down to two scenarios: you either win more or lose. The title of your thread wanted to deviates from your text, but nevertheless it somehow matches partially, so base on what your question through your subject, taking a break in a gambling is what makes a gambler to have a rethink, because they're some people when losing in the gambling they will continue to push on to get their lost and  some people too when they profit they continue  gambling thinking that they will win often, so taking a break in a gambling gives a leverage and also a chance to make a extensive calculation about gambling, so we need to know that, the best favour a gambler can do for he or her self is to gamble  and take a break

I believe you have been on this platform for long now and has been updated with the discussions about uncertainty winning in gambling which in prediction bets as sports is based on luck.
If you have been following up with such discussion here, while I will say I never expected you to come up with this, I will also give it a privilege to assume you don't understand the game of luck in gambling otherwise, you would not had asked this question.

But then, I will just say you are on the regular winning by luck and continuesly playing with the hope that the winning will keep up coming is very misleading just like that in the trading market that a winning strategy does not have to be reliable that you will always remain successful with same strategy in the long term.

Nobody here can give you the best advice but only the ones you give to yourself works more better. I'll simply say, listen to your intuition and follow up, it will lead you to truth and joy. Gambling doesn't care if you need to take a break or not, if you feel you won the first period, there is chance you'll win more or lose straight up. How do you know that tomorrow, for example, you'd be lucky if you gambled? You certainly don't know, and no one else does. So think about this:

Tomorrow you gamble and either win or lose. If you lose, you'll think, "I shouldn't have played, I should have stopped for a while." But the problem with this is that even if you stopped for two months, how would you know the day you'd be lucky enough to start playing again? Even if you stopped for two months, the day you started playing again, you could win or lose.

Gambling is about probability. You always have to be aware of this. The chances of winning and losing are present as players. So, play just for fun. Stop playing when you're tired, too busy, or feel addicted.

I have personally experienced this, and my decision is to continue gambling.
However, I am careful with my bets.  If I start with a capital of $100 and double it, I keep my original capital and continue betting only the amount I won.  
If you can manage to grow it into a larger sum because it's your lucky day, then that's great.  But if you lose, at least your capital remains safe.

Take a break when you're on a losing streak, but not when you're winning.
While the iron is hot and luck is on your side, just keep gambling.

If I were you, I would continue betting but just a small amount, or any amount that you can afford to lose. You will win if you’re lucky, you’ll lose if not.

That is a  common mistake I have personally commited, even after having a relatively good streak of good luck on dices, I always end up losing all back to the casino because of greed. We should not give our greed a chance to take over a ruin what could have been a very good session for us.
