I was wondering if there are real bets on boxing matches featuring famous Spanish-speaking influencers, specifically "La Velada del Año 5" this coming July 26th, organized by YouTuber/streamer Ibai Llanos?.

If so, are you familiar with the event? And if so, would you dare to bet on it?

I ask because almost no one has professional boxing knowledge, so it seems like it could only be considered "just another show".

I think such has happen in my country before even though I didn't figure out whether there was real bets on it but I feel that individuals who are closer to this influencers might for sure make bets or those influencers themselves make bets regarding the outcome of the event, though it might be a show but in a circle of friends it could be real bets.

Just like the event that took place in my country two famous guys got each other on internet hate speech and decided to end it on a ring, at the end I only noticed that people on social media claimed to have placed bets on them but it was official to be recorded anywhere or found in local betting sites.

We've got the Paul brothers that are even advertised a lot with their matches to other youtubers and celebrities.

My friends are already talking about it, I did not have neither any intention to watch it or bet on it, but considering we are talking about an event which only takes place once a year and involves famous celebrities with little to no skills in actual boxing, it may be something fun to watch and bet some dollars on, for the sake of entertainment. Though, this is anoche market and I doubt many bookies will have it listed... This is the kind of event which is aimed to an audience which is mostly composed of teens chan children (because followers of those influencers are mostly teens), so there is not so much money on the table when comes to fans betting for their internet celebrity. Not even mention these kind of boxing events with are rather held by a single person instead of a reputable organization could easily end up in fixed matches.

Speaking of sports or fights, I've seen something similar on Facebook, where YouTube and Facebook influencers play basketball or do boxing matches here in my area. It's pretty entertaining, especially since both sides do a lot of trash talk with their followers.

As for betting, I'm not sure if any odds providers cover those matches, but influencer boxing, or even matches against pro boxers, like Logan Paul's exhibition fight, does happen. If there's enough hype and demand, odds providers will definitely jump in. You might want to check with some local sportsbooks, they might already be offering bets on those events.

The moment I saw the poster the first thing that came to my mind was “staged” and if the match is being staged that means there is a high probability of it being rigged and if people should bet on it they will most likely lose their money since the match will be scripted.

I have seen several streamers do this and I have never been interested in watching them fight let alone bet my money on them - to me it feels as if they are just chaining clouts and probably wants more public attention. Although, I search this particular one but I couldn’t understand what was written on the site because everything was in Spanish and I also saw other fighters in the site and this kinda look legit (more than other streamers own I saw in the past).

These kind of fight are mostly fake. I don't even watch while Jake vs Mike..... It's cleary Mike just want some portion of money from the contract. These kinda boxing match is just like money scheme collected.

I'm not familiar with them, but it's obvious that they might be big influencers in Spanish speaking continent. But I will tell you that you are not the only one, even here we have influencers who will do this for charity. And if you are not aware of, their is this trend that started in the pandemic about exhibition matches and now it trickle down to every influencer around the world. But as far as betting goes? Yeah why not, although as fans of boxing, the result could be rigged, like there will be no winner declared so that ego of this two influencer will not be hurt. And so with that you are right, they are not professional, maybe they train for sometime but it will not be enough and they will really look amateurish in the ring and maybe one of them will get tired after 1 round.

Most people say this type of fight is rigged, just like other youtuber, if I'm a bettor i will not waste my money on this, sometimes its already been set who is going to win, in my country this youtuber are making fun of the audience, imagine the big bulky body been knockout, or lose the fight, while the inexperience win, because the people knew the big one wins, and i know the organizers are laughing because they trick their fans, sometimes they will do a rematch and rigged it again.

In the first place, the matches are boring. If some professional matches are boring, how much more when they involve personalities who have no boxing skills at all. I think these are all for the sake of making contents. They're just fooling everybody. So, yeah, this is "just another show".

It's no different than all of Jake Pauls fights. All bs rules, and 100% fixed fights. It's just a show and they are making bank knowing morons like myself will buy the fight because of some nostalgia back in my childhood. For example, Mike Tyson vs Jake Paul. Huge ripoff as we all know Tyson even though he's over 50, could whip Jake Paul but that's not how it was scripted.

I’m not sure about those people either, and I doubt they’d even have betting lines for that matchup, unless they’re as popular as the Jake brothers or someone on that level. Even if there’s a betting line, I probably wouldn’t bet on influencers I don’t know. But if it’s a matchup here in my country and it involves well-known YouTubers or influencers, then maybe I’d be tempted to place a bet.

I don't know enough about these upcoming fights, even though I can check their history online. I don't think I'll bet on them. I'll look for other football matches, but if I want to watch them, I'll probably watch them. Fights like this can sometimes make me furious, so they're quite exciting to watch, even if I don't know them.

In my country, there's a lot of celebrities suddenly announcing their match schedules. While they used to be actors, now there's quite a lot of interest in this sport. There's also a lot of talent emerging from various regions; perhaps this sport is on the rise.

Once in a while, I'll bet on a fight I know the fighters in.

Thats true, if this event is solely made for entertainment purposes only not unless key figures are involved. Like what happened on Tyson and Jake match. Im surr there are bookie or some betting site open a bet for this match but for this one, I highly doubt theres a lot of interested bookie to operate this one.

This is more like a promotion match, I'm not sure if gambling sites do cover this kind of events usually promotion match like Jake Paul vs Tyson are some big ones that's why gambling sites do cover it but most of us don't even know one of them so I think it's for the views but in case there's a bet usually the chance of the result getting rigged is high.

If the purpose was to raise donations or charity event then it's good to watch it but if it's just for hype and just to increase their visibility online then there's nothing wrong with it too as long as they keep it entertaining but personally, I wouldn't place bets on such events, it's still good to place bet on real official matches/events.

I think there's a difference between bravery and stupidity. If you bet or participate in something that you know has a high chance of being manipulated in one way or another, that would be stupidity IMO. I guess you could say it's just for fun if you spend $1 on it. But if your goal is to make a ton of money from a calculated prediction, there are many options out there.

Yes, that is just another show to entertain the audience. Besides that, each influencer will have their fans that will support them. But fans don't need to think much about the match since that is just entertainment for them.
