Getting out of any kind of addiction is not a simple process, just like other addictions the gambling addict needsa  few months to recover from it at the very least.

First step is the one who is addicted should be willing to quit, if the person haven't realized that then it is not possible by other ways. Then they may need an assessment from a professional to to know their severity of their addiction.

Then based on it, the process varies.

If they are just getting started - use self-exclusion tools and distract themselves with other hobbies that take away their free time.

If they are already addicted - support group or even rehab centres will be the only solution along with the emoptional support from other people.

To answer that question, a gambler can get out of his addiction by replacing gambling with something else that's lucrative. Gambling itself isn't a bad thing but when it becomes an addiction it can be very destructive. Quitting is not an easy journey, some might even consider it impossible but if you are determined and consistent with the aim of making a change you would definitely overcome it

Not every real gamblers are addicted to gambling, and the fact that a gambler chooses to gamble for fun doesn't not mean he or she is not a real gamblers, after all, gambling was never supposed to be seen or taken as a means of making money, but a means of simply having fun while time passes.

For me, I've never been addicted to gambling and I will never be, because I've learnt on time to gamble responsibly, I've learnt on time all the reasons and causes of gambling addiction and I've always ensured that I am keeping watch over myself and my emotions while gambling, anything I notice anything out of the ordinary, I simply quit and maybe take a break for few days or weeks.

And speaking of my reason of gambling, I've said this before, I gamble for no other reason other than to have fun, but I do most times desire to win money, but then if the money doesn't come, I count it all joy still.

If you are a addicted gambler, and you want to stop your addiction, then the first thing which you should do is to be dedicated to stop the addiction, if the gambler is not dedicated, then it’s just going to be so difficult to stop the addiction.

If you notice that you gambling just because you have nothing doing, then you have to get something doing that’s going to take your time, if gambling is the only thing that’s always making you happy, then get something else doing so that your attention won’t really be in gambling. Just force yourself and do things that won’t even make you think about gambling, make sure you are not always alone, maybe you should always hang around with friends, and other things like that, am sure with time your attention won’t really be in gambling anymore.

Most people gambling are doing for the sake of money, just few people are the ones gambling just because they want to have fun, and that’s why we can see that lots of people are already addicted to gambling, and the rate which people are getting addicted is really increasing. Some gamblers will keep on claiming they are gambling for fun, but they are addicted to gambling, they just deceiving people.

Well, it's hard to tell, because it depends on the level of addiction one has. Some people are at the initial stage of the addiction, and it's easier for them to turn back compared to those who are too deep into it already, and they are always going to have a hard time getting rid of the addiction, some might even fail and never get out of it until they lose everything and then have no choice other than not gambling anymore.

I gamble for fun, fortunately. I've never become addicted to gambling in my life, and I thank God for that every time I see a person in gambling addiction because it's a curse, if you ask me. Those who get addicted to gambling won't have a life anymore, because they will be mentally and financially unstable at all times, and I can't imagine being in that state for long because it's like a torture but the one that you deliberately spawn upon yourself.

To prevent yourself getting out as a gambling addict is to make yourself busy like starting a new hobby as to make yourself don't have time for gambling and a rehab. Or let’s just say they are in denial that they are addicted in gambling because for them, they are just gambling on their money they can afford to lose, or they do gamble responsibly, but for us we know already that these kind of people have fallen into gambling addiction.

However, this is very hard for these gamblers to get out from addiction especially that they are battling with their own emotions. While others can still manage to control theirselves, majority of the addicted gamblers find it hard to leave gambling because they think they can’t live without gambling.

As someone who wants to gamble, first you should be able to control yourself and be a responsible gambler before you call yourself a real gambler. If you are responsible, you are not supposed to get addicted to gambling, let alone how to get out of your addiction.

But if in any case you do get addicted, the best thing to do is to try as much as possible to correct your mistakes and fix those errors you failed to acknowledge in the first phase of your gambling journey.

Currently, my reason for gambling is not just for fun alone, and it's also not just for making money alone either. It's to try out new ideas, try luck if I can win something, and also to try out what I'm promoting.

The problem is the mindset, sometimes you may go into the casino hall or use you mobile device to gamble and after you have exhausted your schedule budget amount you may still not feel that satisfied and that could prompt you to make additional deposit which was initially not part of the plan. Being an addict is not healthy, it isn't a stage of gambling to brag instead endeavoring to quit by every means possible. Gambling addiction ruins every aspect of one's life if not controlled early, it first attacks the financial aspect of the individual before extending, at this point the consequences is more than the fun part supposed to stick with, after reading this do you think it will be healthy for anyone to become addicted?

If you try, it is possible some people can overcome it without taking much time.if someone is addicted to gambling, what I would advise is that the person should find something productive to do at first. This way, they can keep themselves busy during the times they would normally spend gambling. If I may say, over 90%  of people are gambling to make money. It may be only a few who are gambling for fun. As for me, I think I am gambling for fun because I don't spend even up to 5% of what I earn every month on gambling.With that, I believe I am gambling for fun. I always have a budget for my gambling, and once the money is finished, I don't deposit any more money into my betting account. I’ve been doing that for some years now, so I have confidence in myself that I am gambling for fun, not for making money.

Let him have a gambling budget and follow it strictly. If he cannot control his gambling activities, let him seek help from professionals.

I gamble for fun and for profit. But I don't see gambling as a source of income that's why I gamble with an amount I can afford to lose. Anybody whose target is to make money from gambling will be disappointed because the outcome is unpredictable.
