Under 33 is probably the right bet here as it's going to be a lot of running from the Chargers. Clock going to run nonstop IMO. None of the QBs are anywhere near elite and without starting players we just aren't going to see a huge passing game. Honestly though, who cares IT'S FOOTBALL SEASON!!! I'll be happy the season is starting.

Football!!! Unders are money in the preseason. Trey Lance is going to show he could be a full time starter in the NFL.

Well trey lance is looking good so far. Not sure if he will be in for the 2nd half. As far as unders are money in the preseason, score is 21-7 at halftime so if it's going to stay under 34(Line at the start of the game) then I will need to pitch a shutout 2nd half. Fumble in the opening kickoff didn't do me any favors. We should start seeing some 3rd stringers and 4th stringers come into the game so scoreless 2nd half is possible, but unlikely.

Thursday, August 7, 2025 NFL Preseason Games QB Rotations and Starter Playing Time

1. Indianapolis Colts at Baltimore Ravens (7:00 PM ET, NFL Network)

Colts QB Rotation (Depth Chart: Anthony Richardson, Daniel Jones, Riley Leonard, Jason Bean):
Anthony Richardson (starter): Expected to start and play the first 1.5 quarters (~20-25 minutes).
Daniel Jones: Expected to play the rest of the second quarter (~10-15 minutes). Riley Leonard and Jason Bean: Likely to split the second half (~20-25 minutes each).

Ravens QB Rotation (Depth Chart: Lamar Jackson, Cooper Rush, Devin Leary):
Lamar Jackson (starter): Unlikely to play or limited to 1 series (~5-10 minutes). Cooper Rush: Expected to play 1-2 quarters (~15-20 minutes). Devin Leary: Likely to handle the remaining snaps (~20-25 minutes).

Notes: The Colts have explicitly outlined extended time for Richardson and Jones to evaluate their QB competition. Ravens coach John Harbaugh typically rests Jackson in preseason openers.

2. Cincinnati Bengals at Philadelphia Eagles (7:30 PM ET)

Bengals QB Rotation (Depth Chart: Joe Burrow, Jake Browning, Desmond Ridder, Payton Thorne):[/b]
Joe Burrow (starter): Expected to play several series (~10-15 minutes). Jake Browning: Likely to play 1-2 quarters (~15-20 minutes). Desmond Ridder and Payton Thorne: Expected to split the second half (~20-25 minutes each).

Eagles QB Rotation (Depth Chart: Jalen Hurts, Tanner McKee, Kyle McCord, Dorian Thompson-Robinson):
Jalen Hurts (starter): Unlikely to play or limited to 1 series (~5-10 minutes). Tanner McKee: Expected to start if Hurts sits and play 1-2 quarters (~15-20 minutes). Kyle McCord and Dorian Thompson-Robinson: Likely to split the remaining snaps (~20-25 minutes each).

Notes: Bengals coach Zac Taylor confirmed Burrow and starters will play "several series" across the preseason, starting Thursday. Eagles coach Nick Sirianni often rests Hurts early in preseason.

3. Las Vegas Raiders at Seattle Seahawks (10:00 PM ET, NFL Network)

Raiders QB Rotation (Depth Chart: Geno Smith, Aidan O’Connell, Cam Miller):
Geno Smith (starter): Expected to play 1-2 series (~10-15 minutes). Aidan O’Connell: Likely to play 1-2 quarters (~15-20 minutes). Cam Miller: Expected to handle the second half (~25-30 minutes).

Seahawks QB Rotation (Depth Chart: Sam Darnold, Drew Lock, Jalen Milroe):
Sam Darnold (starter): Expected to play minimal in the 1st quarter (~10-15 minutes). Drew Lock and Jalen Milroe: Likely to split the remaining drives (~20-25 minutes each).

Notes: Seahawks reports indicate Darnold gets limited 1st-quarter action, with Lock and Milroe sharing the rest. Raiders' plans align with typical preseason limits for Smith, who returns to Seattle as a storyline.

Coaches' Preseason Records The following table summarizes the historical preseason straight-up (SU) and against-the-spread (ATS) records for the six head coaches involved in Thursday's games, based on their careers up to the 2025 preseason.

Great info. Source?
Most of it is AI. I sourced the one below.

NFL Preseason Week 1 – August 9, 2025
QB Rotations & Expected Playing Time

Giants vs. Bills
Giants: The presumed starting QB, Russell Wilson, is unlikely to play (at most a series, if any) in the opener (bigblueinteractive.com). Head coach Brian Daboll confirmed rookie Jaxson Dart will see the field – likely for a substantial portion (potentially up to a half) – to get his first NFL action (bigblueinteractive.com). After Dart, Tommy DeVito is expected to play in the second half once the deep reserves are in (bigblueinteractive.com).
Bills: Josh Allen will not play, per HC Sean McDermott, so backup Mitch Trubisky gets the start (buffalobills.com). Trubisky and the other offensive starters are slated for about one quarter of work (buffalobills.com, buffalowdown.com). Behind Trubisky, Mike White will take over and handle the remaining snaps, as Buffalo evaluates the Trubisky-vs-White battle for the No. 2 job (buffalowdown.com). (Allen’s absence is precautionary, allowing the backups extensive run.)

Texans vs. Vikings
Texans: Second-year QB C.J. Stroud is expected to make only a brief appearance – likely just the first offensive series – before yielding to the backups (winnersandwhiners.com). After that opening drive, veteran Davis Mills should enter, followed by rookie QBs Graham Mertz and Kedon Slovis rotating through the second half (winnersandwhiners.com).
Vikings: New starting QB J.J. McCarthy will play in the opener (coming off last year’s knee injury), though head coach Kevin O’Connell hasn’t set an exact snap count (yardbarker.com). Don’t be surprised if McCarthy gets around a quarter of work before exiting. The backup order behind him is Sam Howell (likely next up), then Brett Rypien, and finally rookie Max Brosmer if needed (winnersandwhiners.com). Coaches will balance McCarthy’s valuable reps with caution, so his stint may be limited to roughly one quarter (yardbarker.com).

Cowboys vs. Rams
Cowboys: Don’t expect to see Dak Prescott on the field – the longtime starter is likely to sit out the first preseason game entirely (si.com). In his place, Joe Milton III (a recent addition) is slated to start and play the early series or quarter (winnersandwhiners.com). However, Milton has been managing a thumb injury, so the bulk of the game could belong to Will Grier, who is set to take over and play the majority of snaps at QB (si.com). (Grier may even start if the team decides to hold Milton out, but as of now Milton is expected to get the first snaps before Grier finishes the game (winnersandwhiners.com).)
Rams: Starting QB Matthew Stafford will not play as he continues to rehab a back issue (winnersandwhiners.com). Backup Jimmy Garoppolo also isn’t expected to suit up, meaning Stetson Bennett will start under center for Los Angeles (winnersandwhiners.com). Bennett should play extensive minutes (likely the entire first half or more), with Dresser Winn next in line once Bennett’s night is done (winnersandwhiners.com). The Rams plan to rest almost all key veterans, so Bennett and Winn will handle all the QB duties.

Steelers vs. Jaguars
Steelers: Newly acquired starter Aaron Rodgers will not be playing in this game (cbssports.com). Instead, veteran backup Mason Rudolph is expected to start and run the offense for the first couple of drives (roughly one or two series) (cbssports.com). After Rudolph’s brief outing, Pittsburgh will turn to its other QBs: look for Skylar Thompson and Logan Woodside to split most of the remaining snaps at quarterback (cbssports.com). (Rookie QB Will Howard is on the roster but dealing with a hand injury, so the Steelers may hold him out, making Thompson and Woodside the primary relief QBs (cbssports.com).)
Jaguars: Jacksonville plans to play all healthy starters, so Trevor Lawrence will see the field to begin the game (jaguars.com). Given it’s his first preseason in a new system, Lawrence might play a series or two (the exact length will depend on the flow of the game) before yielding to the backups. After Lawrence, veteran Nick Mullens (listed as the No. 2 QB) should enter, followed by John Wolford later on (ourlads.com). The Jaguars want Lawrence to get a taste of live action, but they won’t overdo it – expect at most a quarter from him, then a heavy dose of Mullens and Wolford.

Titans vs. Buccaneers
Titans: All eyes will be on rookie quarterback Cameron Ward, the No. 1 overall pick, who is penciled in as the starter (tennesseetitans.com). Ward is likely to play the entire first quarter (if not a bit more) as the team wants to jump-start his development with live reps. After Ward’s debut stint, seasoned backup Brandon Allen will come in, and third-string QB Tim Boyle is expected to finish out the game in the second half (tennesseetitans.com).
Buccaneers: Head coach Todd Bowles typically rests proven veterans, so don’t expect starter Baker Mayfield to play more than a token drive (if at all) (buccaneers.com, covers.com). Instead, Kyle Trask will take the majority of snaps at QB. Trask, who spent last season as Mayfield’s backup, will start and receive significant reps as he auditions to solidify the No. 2 job (buccaneers.com). Behind Trask, newly signed Teddy Bridgewater is set to make his Bucs debut – he’ll likely enter in the second quarter or after halftime to run the offense for a few series (buccaneers.com). (Promising rookie Michael Pratt is currently sidelined by a back injury, which is why Tampa brought in Bridgewater and will lean on him in this game (buccaneers.com).)

Jets vs. Packers
Jets: The Jets have a new QB1 in Justin Fields, and while he’s had a solid camp, he’s coming off a minor toe injury. Expect New York to play Fields briefly – perhaps one or two series – just to get his timing down with the offense (newyorkjets.com). After that, veteran Tyrod Taylor (the No. 2 QB) will take over and likely play through the middle quarters (newyorkjets.com). In the second half, fans should see plenty of the young guns: undrafted QB Adrian Martinez and rookie Brady Cook are next on the depth chart and should split the remaining snaps once Taylor exits (newyorkjets.com).
Packers: Jordan Love remains the clear starting QB in Green Bay and has been having a strong camp (sports.yahoo.com). Love is expected to start and play roughly a quarter (the team may give him a series or two to shake off rust, but won’t keep him in much longer). Once Love’s day is done, Malik Willis – who was added as the new backup – will be the next man up at quarterback (sports.yahoo.com). Willis should see significant action (likely into the third quarter), with second-year QB Sean Clifford slated to follow after Willis’s stint (packers.com). If a fourth QB is used late, it would be rookie Taylor Elgersma, but Green Bay may not need to go that far down the depth chart. The primary plan: Love for a brief period, then a heavy dose of Willis and Clifford (packers.com).

Broncos vs. 49ers
Broncos: Denver will be debuting Bo Nix as its new starting quarterback. The initial word is that the starters are expected to see action, so Nix will open the game under center and play approximately the first quarter (denverbroncos.com). After Nix gets his work in, backup Jarrett Stidham will enter – anticipate Stidham playing through the second quarter (and possibly into the third) as the primary relief QB (denverbroncos.com). Third-stringer Sam Ehlinger is next in line and should clean up the remaining minutes in the second half (denverbroncos.com).
49ers: Incumbent starter Brock Purdy might sit this game out entirely (he’s a “candidate to sit out,” according to reports) (cbssports.com). San Francisco is inclined to be cautious with Purdy, so even if he suits up, it would likely be for a single series at most. The team brought in Mac Jones as the backup, and he is expected to start if Purdy rests – Jones would then play roughly a quarter or more to establish a rhythm in Kyle Shanahan’s offense (ninernoise.com). Behind him, second-year QB Tanner Mordecai has been elevated to the third-string role and is in line to play in the second half (ninernoise.com). (Rookie QB Kurtis Rourke is sidelined by an ACL injury, so Mordecai should see extended action as the de facto QB3 (ninernoise.com).) In summary, the Niners likely won’t expose Purdy much, if at all; Mac Jones will get substantial snaps, and Mordecai will finish the game.

Trey Lance

I was reading this post and I know I remember this name and it might have been the year when the yearly NFL fantasy league in the forum was beginning hehehehhe.

Without checking mr. Google, he was one of the top picks in a draft after Trevor Lawrence and someone else before him, I reckon. The other player might have been Justin Fields.

🏈 NFL Preseason – Sunday, August 10, 2025 🏈

Bears vs. Dolphins
Bears: Rookie QB Caleb Williams will sit out, per team announcements, as the Bears prioritize keeping him fresh for the regular season. Tyson Bagent will start, with head coach Matt Eberflus noting that Bagent is “going to get a good chunk of work” in the opener. Expect Bagent to handle the first 1–2 quarters before Austin Reed takes over for the second half. Most offensive starters (WRs, RBs, O-line) are expected to see 1 series only (~5–10 minutes). Defensive starters will be rotated out after the first series.
Dolphins: Tua Tagovailoa will also be held out. Mike McDaniel confirmed backup Mike White will start and play the first 1–2 quarters. Skylar Thompson will finish the game. Starting WRs Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle, along with RB Raheem Mostert, will be limited to one offensive series (~5–10 minutes). Starting defensive players are expected to play a single series before giving way to the second unit.

Bitcoin-Betting Odds:
Dolphins +3 (1.925)

Saints vs. Chargers
Saints: Rookie Spencer Rattler gets the start, with Dennis Allen indicating he’ll get “an extended look” in the first half. Chargers: Justin Herbert is expected to sit out entirely. Taylor Heinicke will start and handle the first two drives before turning the offense over to Trey Lance, who is slated to play most of the remaining snaps. Either Easton Stick or Max Duggan will finish the game. Offensive starters like WR Keenan Allen, WR Ladd McConkey, and RB Gus Edwards are planned for 1 series (~5–8 minutes). A juicy piece of news I know the NFL fans out there won’t want to miss. Fresh off the back of introducing male cheerleaders, which is what every football fan obviously wanted, the NFL has decided to one up itself by having an official deal with crocs for official NFL licensing. Watching the NFL destroy itself has been interesting.
