when i want to make my prediction i dont want to be distracted by other games. what i do is that i make my own prediction separately and also bet on other peoples game on another ticket. at times i play my own prediction then mixed up mine and other game on another ticket. i have fallen victim of "near win" that was disrupted by adding other peoples game. it has happened to me countless times and i have decided to focus on mine before playing other games.

although at times i feel more confident too in other people games than mine. it is just a kind of not straightforward, the feeling is a mixed feeling.

If you do have the money or budget then you can actually do this but since not all gamblers would be having the extra money that they can allocate into or lets say that you are betting on your own choice and you've been betting on what other bettors be doing. If we do tend to zoom out then there's no sense that you would be trying out to bet on opposite sides on which the thrill and excitement on doing up bets isnt something that present when it comes into this aspect. There's no point on making out some bets when you are trying to cope up all of those possible bets but if you are trying out to make some experiment and since its your money that being used then it wouldbe that up to you on what you would gonna do into this aspect. Whenever I do make out some bets then i never look at on other bets or choices but rather I would be just that focusing on my own and wont be liking on getting distracted at this time.

Looking at other bets or whatever their choices doesnt give out anything to me when it comes to emotional aspect. I do just that simply tell to myself "nah, I'd win"

If you are going to look at other people's bets to confirm if you are doing well, then it shows you are not confident in yourself. At this point, whether you look at other people's bets or not, it really makes no difference.  You don't have confidence in yourself, neither do you have confidence in the bets you want to copy. Luck is the only thing you are relying on. But it is good as a gambler to be able to make some analysis by yourself.  Some games require some level of skills and knowledge, enjoy the process while hoping to win, you shouldn't miss out on both.

Looking at other people's bets means one is not sure about what they have analyzed, and even if one wants to look at other people's bets, they need to understand that gambling is unpredictable and not to depend on the predictions or analyses of other people's games.

I'm not against looking at other people's bets, but it shouldn't be a tradition. As a gambler, I think it is important not to rely solely on other people's bets; one should be able to play to see if there will be luck to win.

Crowd sourcing can be effective for figuring out a rough opinion of odds, especially if you were comparing two football teams for example - you can probably tell that two giants in Europe, each at the peak of their respective football leagues, will have similar odds especially if both have been playing recently, which would probably end up with a 50/50 chance each could be the winner. However there are other markets where odds pricing does not seem to be as effective, such as when it comes to horse race betting - I've seen many horses that have a strong chance of winning be priced at 9x+ which suggests the bookmakers have collectively misjudged the odds. Comparing bets sometimes when you aren't sure of a team's performance is absolutely not a bad idea, as it gives you the opportunity to hear from other people side of view why they think team club A or B will win the match. But on the contrary, I usually don't allow such comparison affects my emotions or how I feel, since I know for the fact that in gambling anything can happen, and likewise a weak club if lucky enough could win, and vice versa. Hence, as a gambler, it's always good to develop the habit of taking full responsibility of whatever decision made while placing a bet, whether it turns out as winning or lose.

This would only make me confused so I don't bother doing it, I'm sure of my predictions, this doesn't mean that they are hundred percent accurate but I know that there's a high chance of winning when you I analyze and do a well detailed research on the games I bet on. Comparing bets isn't always advised, you can't tell if the next person is a good bettor or analysis as hard as you. It's better to copy their bets and stake differently instead of combining their picks with yours

It is not true, looking at other bets doesn't mean you are picking confirmation from someone else, but rather comparison, what matches your bet and popular opinions on the event, in as much it shouldn't alter your prediction already in mind. Don't you have peers you discuss gambling with, it is fun discussing about betting before the event begins, when its time to bet on the event i do it alone and take responsibility of whatever is in my parlay.

You can easily make some analyzes yourself and know what people will bet mostly on. When I was using bet.com, there is a place on the app that do show the percentage of people that go for win, draw or loss for each matches. That will be proportional to the total number of people that bet on the match. I do not follow that for my own predictions. What people are voting for are what I know they will vote for. Also similar to prediction sites.

I also make use of that stats being provided by the bookmakers... different bettors vote on the options of the game either win, draw or straight win...this has been a guide to most of the predictions I make but sometimes people can get it wrong because I have lost sometimes...in some bookies it's designed in such a way that the bettors can comment, I use most of the ideas dropped by people in the comment section to compare my selections before placing my bet

I often do this on my favourite sports, like horse racing, to check if I got my analysis correctly. Bettors exchange notes and analysis on some sports they like to boost their confidence in case they hit all their bets. There’s nothing wrong with this; it’s a natural part of double-checking to see if they missed something, especially in sports betting.
Gamblers have different behaviours and characters. Some kept their bets, others are opening their predictions for discussion.
The most important thing is to respect every bettor’s bets; it’s their money anyway, and they put time and effort into their bets.

I think when it comes to bets, it’s not important for a person to compare his bet with the other people’s. Why is that? We’re individuals with differences, and everyone has his own methods on how to play the bets, and that’s why even if a person tries to know the others bets because he/she wanted exactly what the person had, it will make him waste his money on the bets.

Because what if this person that he/she tries to know his bet on all the predictions is wrong? I don’t think there will be any other options for the person; that's why it is good for us to be very cautious in whateverwe come to do. It will be much better if we can work with our own suggestions for the best way to get the best outcome.

Looking at people's bet, before placing my bet is what I don't encourage, I place my bet on what I want and move on because most times, people's choice are not my choice although, the records are clearly there for people to see, it's now left for you to decide what you want.
But when the game looks a bit tough and confusing, I will look and try to study and understand the game before placing a bet, because in some rear cases,  I try to seek help when am not too sure, and I just really have to play the game.

I don't look at other people's bet to make my own decisions but I look at other people's bet that has a good history of winning in gambling for conclusion of my bet. I used them for confirmation base on my own ideas that I have use to select my bet. Sometimes, I just bet what the things I have selected and go with what I have initially and then use other bets to make comparisons to my own bet and stake another money with it just to be sate with with a I have risk with the casino.

I feel like if you do this most of the time, you wouldn't grow enough balls to make decision in gambling. What are you going to do the days they don't bet or don't have similar games like yours. I may copy other gamblers ideas and tweak it to my own idea to bet but I will not let others idea to confuse me me more. This is not even a standard practice of gambling, some of the guys other people looks upto sometimes copy my bets to stake just to make wins from my games too because it's not every of their own bet they do win.

Not really that important, but all my friends shared our bets, not really to know who’s better, but to check what we have overlooked or missed.

That is true, it is not important because you have your own bets. But sometimes, people are looking for others' bets so they can gain insights on what to do. But it doesn't mean that you will rely from them every time you place your bets. Because it is not a smart move for yourself. You will have your own instincts which bet to place after knowing others' bets. And it is better to follow your instincts so you won't regret later on. Definitely, it is free to check others but at the end of the day, you need to weigh your options and choose what would be best for you.

Confidence is a big word that can't be fit in there just like that.. infact, I can't find anything really working out with merely looking at the outcome of other people, cause even though we decided to bet on the same odds, but at different intervals, we'll both have very different outcomes 9 out of 10 tries.

Anxiety is also only a weapon that the casinos can manipulate you with. They don't cause the anxiety to happen, it all builds up in you  but they're very good at using that as an advantage against you -- "a troubled mind is a lost one"

Certainly, there are benefits to some extent. Assuming you just came live on the game and you don't know what the previous outcome was 30 minutes ago; you can look out for things like that to help.

Although it is very possible that my predictions and my friends' predictions are the same. But when it comes to making bets, of course, I rely more on my own thoughts. I tend to look at other people's bets before to see if we have the same bias but it was too stressful when our judgement are different. It influences me before that I follow them without analyzing their plays.

But now I stick to my own plan. Gambling is a game of luck after all and I believe anything is possible in gambling. Just like when I'm sportsbetting, there are times that the underdog team win.

Minding your own business is the best. If the person is well known to be a lucky winner often when he places bet, I may take a risk to check out one of his trades if i have been on persistent loss throughout the day or week. The reason why you can’t relent on someone else’s bet is that; they’re also prone to error like you and have also just placed the bet and waiting if luck will shine on them. No one is so good in gambling that following his footsteps will give you consistent result. Everything here is just trail and error. The moment you decide to start doubting your bets, then that will mean you’ll always focus on people’s bet which may even cause you more losses than what you may have lost using your own format into betting games. Don’t just start it, trust and believe in yourself to be able to win games you’ve bet on.

for other people's ideas to be considered reasonable, others have to be able to make money and make successful bets. but we know that a large part of them only lose money from gambling.

gambling should only be about you. it should be about your own analysis, your own money and your own bet. if you bring other factors into it, you will start making excuses when you lose and you will melt from the inside.
