When I was betting before, even now, although I don’t rely on other people’s bets, I still check them out. I look at their perspectives, analysis, and insights. You know, it’s not a bad thing. It’s like getting a second opinion, you never know, it might help or highlight something you missed. For sure, others are also curious about what others are saying, even if they do their own analysis. If you’re into sports betting, it's like, that’s really just part of the whole process, at least for me.

Sometimes I see my friends' bets, or friends sharing their betting information. Such things are common if we indeed have friends who often meet and they are also bettors. Seeing other people's bets does not make me more confident if the bets are the same, I will still use my own method. I don't take my friends' bets seriously before I make my own bet. I'm just afraid that other people's bets will influence me in making my own bets, if I win, it might not be an issue. But if I lose, there might be feelings of blaming others.

the only time when looking at another persons bet looks good is when after looking at their bet is sinks well with your prediction or gives you an idea that there is something to take from those. if not, for most times, it is going to confuse you even the more to think that your predictions are not good enough and that you need to make some adjustment that will end up causing you more loss than win since you are going to do far more comparison than necessary. if it is a completely luck based game, it is best to know that my luck isn't same with yours so focusing on your guts will always win over trying out other peoples opinion but if it is a game that requires analysis, you can just look at what other people are doing while you stand to make the final decision.

Previous year I have asked quite a similar question here and got mixed answers.

Whenever its possible, I do look how people bet and play. The amount the bet influences on my decision how much I am ready to bet. When everyone around place large bets, I start to feel discomfort if I play low bet or low risk strategy. A feeling "if this guy risk and have big wins, why cant I do the same, as we are playing same game, have same opportunities against casino?" appears. But, I cant say that all that give me any benefit or I start to gamble more successfully.

If you could have access to all the statistics of the bettor you want to follow and you could see that he is a successful player and wins most of his bets, then maybe it would make sense, but if it's just a bet from a player you don't know much about, then I don't see the point. From my point of view, there is no need to follow others to manage gambling because each person's means of money or strategy will be different. In early days of sports betting, I was really addicting to this checking others betting slips and then deciding about own stuff, but this give me some big loses then I change my strategy and have own stuff which always helps and give better results.
Now I understand few things always keeping work and having stuff for sports betting give better results because stats and search always works for you some work and good results never go with others because they have their own way of checking and strategy which never works for you.
Even now I personally feel never go for paid tipsters because if you have time then you can go better from them which are taking money for nothing just waste of time and money nothing more.

This would only make me confused so I don't bother doing it, I'm sure of my predictions, this doesn't mean that they are hundred percent accurate but I know that there's a high chance of winning when you I analyze and do a well detailed research on the games I bet on. Comparing bets isn't always advised, you can't tell if the next person is a good bettor or analysis as hard as you. It's better to copy their bets and stake differently instead of combining their picks with yours

For real, you really don’t have any reason to know what’s on your friend’s bet or someone else’s bet. Maybe you might have the idea of people making better predictions than yourself but, that’s hardly the case most times. Recall that gambling is a game of luck and even the individual you would want to depend on is hoping to get lucky on their prediction. Worst case scenario is when the individual’s bet is entirely different from yours, you wouldn’t want that.

Looking at other people's bet will either make you lose confidence on your own bet or the other way, still, whatever happens won't change the cause of the result in the end, copying what others are doing doesn't makes you a better gambler, you will still probably lose more and win less.

Some gamblers don't know how to do good analysis on their own and they are not new to the game, it's a part of irresponsible gambling because you could have predicted better than many others.

The reason why some gamblers will never find their true self is because all they do is watching other gamblers and doing the exact same thing as them, meaning they don't even know they are doing, I see this happens alot in sports bet.

Yes, sometimes I compare my bets to others. I just wanted to know if my betting strategy is correct or different from theirs. I actually feel confident when knowing we're the same. Of course, this doesn't mean it will increase our chance of winning. But at least we know that we're in common and in the same track.

Maybe we think it was not necessary, but for beginners, I believe they have to do this. It won't make you win, but it's a way to evaluate our analysis. A way to gain ideas on how other bettors do as well.

That's very correct, if am making analysis  I do it alone unless if luckily I was with my friends and then we can start sharing tips and making comparisons, apart from that, it's either I predict the games by myself or take predictions that my friend came up with and staked on it. If I don't have time to make analysis, that's when i take games from my friends but if I have free time for it, I don't  do that.

If you don’t have trust in your bet and you have second thoughts about your analysis, you will want a second opinion to check if you are right in your analysis or if you need an alternative bet.
I often do this when I’m unsure about my bets, but only with friends who share my interest in betting and are willing to share their bets.
It’s good to improve your analysis, and it strengthens your friendship. It’s not essential, but it’s worth sharing and checking how and what they bet.

You don't know what the other guy track of wins or losses is. There are millions of bettors out there and not at all in the last place, odds are the results of the people wagering on a game, so the bigger the sample, the closer it comes to the actual percentages that the odds have.

Oh, following a known tipster with 2-3 years of tracked bets, wins and losses, that's a different thing.

And the worst type of mindset people can have is when they see gambling as a source of income, because people who have that kind of mindset, the end result is not usually nice because they depend on it so much that without it they can not even feed themselves self because there dependency is to much when it comes to gambling but at the end of the day there is no sign of winning and the only time gambling is fun is when you are winning but you can not be winning every time so this is part of the reason why gambling can the same time be stressful, it should not be a matter of do or die, and when you don't win then its not a crime actually to take a break instead of gambling all hard.
