Just tuned to the PSG game after the Barcelona victory. They look to be back to their form after the draw in the champions league but looking at the table it looks like Lens will top the table if they win tomorrow, I actually thought that PSG were running away with the title already.
Metz just scored and we may be in for a grand stand finish here.

Trofo, I’m looking at all the SuperBru pools and there isn’t a single one where I’m in the top 10. I can’t believe that I’m equally shitty in every one of them. The other challengers and fantasy leagues are pretty much the same. But it’s not all bad—at least we can all chit-chat who bad we are in these pool discussions.

Trofo, I’m looking at all the SuperBru pools and there isn’t a single one where I’m in the top 10. I can’t believe that I’m equally shitty in every one of them. I am hoping Fantasy will be the one which pays for all my other buy ins and then some. I used to be much better in Superbru though. So it either means I have gotten worse over the time or competition here has gotten better.

Nothing to do with getting worse or better. I think honestly Superbru is pure pure luck. I have won pools with nothing almost of knowledge, and never champion in my most 'expert' league of la liga.

So far all the French favorites are doing well in cup tonight tho, that seems easier lol

Friendly reminder to everyone that Ligue 1 action resumes this week. It's easy to miss the picks after a break and the holidays too.

It's always tricky predicting matches after there has been a lay off time like during international breaks, but this time there has been no football at all to judge how the players are performing and some clubs have important players at the AFCON, that's another to watch out for.

PSG will not like not being top going into the break and will be eager to get back to their best form in the league.

I think we don't have topic about French Cup, so, I'll post here. PSG got eliminatedfrom French Cup in city derby against Paris. I expected that they won't have problems like they didn't had in Ligue 1 gamea gainst them. But I guess it's not easy to beat same opponent twice in a week. It's not that PSG played bad, but they didn't had much luck yesterday. They're winning almost every possible trophy recently, so, their elimination is really big deal. After few years we will have new champion.

As i dont follow the ligue1 so much comapred to other leagues i follow less the cup but yesterday since we dont have so much games available to see and follow i saw them losing and it was super strange, i was not expecting it at all like most of the people, i also was expecting to see the usual behavior from them which consists on tie or win the game in the very last moment, but that didnt happen and they are out, anyways good news for the rest of the French teams.

Yeah, I've a feeling they're not absolutely guaranteed the title this season. I know they faltered several times the last as well and still won it comfortably, but you still have to say that winning 12 out of 17 so far isn't par performance. Even Marseille and Lille: if they find consistency before PSG does, it'll be bad news.

It's even better, it means that Ligue 1 will become competitive if PSG does not guarantee the title, because the last few seasons have been tired of PSG continuing to win the title.

After getting their first one I really don't think they'll be desperate to win it this time around. I know the right mentality for footballers is to think about the next one and not past success, but it will not be easy to replicate the hunger they had last season and also the element of surprise they had. They've always been a top team but were not expected to win it and in the fashion they did during knock out football.

They had a strong squad, so I'll say they cared enough. Teams do not throw cup competitions these days like a decade ago when top teams used it like exhibition matches for their academy players.

Then again maybe if I ignore it the way it currently is maybe I will continue to do a bit better?

I'm still very confident in PSG and it's not even about how they're palying. I just don't believe in Lens and that they can so great all season long. If it would be Marseille, Lyon or Lille fighting with them, it would be different story.

It didn't looked that they don't care. It was just bad game and such things happens when you have such intensive schedule. AndI think that Paris goal was scored a bit too late and PSG didn't had enough time to wake up. If it would be 30-40th minute, that would be different story.

I've not watched Lens much this season or other Lighe 1 teams for that matter. I've seen a bit of Lille, they are a decent side. If anyone is going to topple PSG, I think it will be more of them being bad than the competition being good.
