Your opinion matters to us!
The good:Both forums are free and have friendly administrators!
CryptoCoinTalk
- 66 Coin already has a forum there, unfortunately very few people seem to visit it
- Many other coins have their forum there and it seems like the place for altcoins to be in
- I already have full moderator privileges there so no extra setup needed
CoinStack
- Some very successful coins seem to have forums there (doge, vertcoin, reddcoin)
- They clean up threads that have not been used in a while
- Has poll support
The bad:- CryptoCoinTalk does not seem to have poll support (at least I was not able to find it yet)
- CoinStack may be harder to link to from CryptoCoinTalk since they are unfriendly towards other forums, we already have an announcement thread there and some people may be watching it!
Unfortunately at the moment I have not used any of the forums enough to provide sufficient information!
CryptoCoinTalk is free for everybody, still, we have been offered free hosting on coinstack, here's the quote:
Hey pikimunga,
we are experts for dedicated servers and IT-infrastructure and I saw that your coin doesn't have a dedicated forum yet.
We can set you up with a free & dedicated 66coin subforum with
full moderator rights for you and your team over at
http://coinstack.orgYou can then offer your coin users a private space to communicate, hang out and decide the future of your coin without distraction from other altcoin threads.
The result would be higher involvement of your users with your coin as compared to having just one thread filled with all kinds of different information.
With a dedicated forum you can have
dedicated topics for many purposes like
- Giveaways
- Contests
- FAQs
- Technical discussions
- Polls
- Speculation & exchanges
- bounty threads
- much much more...
It is easier to track user feedback, contests, post announcements,
sticky threads, etc...
We can also give tips on how to keep your users engaged with your coin and run marketing campaigns on the dedicated forum.
Just shoot me a PM and we'll set you up ASAP - You'll get a cheat sheet with the next steps to get your forum running and populated in no time.
Cheers,
PT
