People would know gambling addiction and not gambling fever. You are addicted to gambling but your body is not getting hot aka fever. It is not the same because fever is shown in your body, increasing  from normal to hot.

But perhaps, I am wrong about this because as far as I know, if you write all the signs of gambling fever, that is gambling addiction for me. Perhaps, we have a different name to call that but that goes to the same thing.

If you don't want to get addicted to gambling, you need to have many things that can prevent you from becoming addiction. It is not easy because gambling will always tempt you to keep gambling.

Talking to someone is very important because it can help in putting you in a good mental and psychological state which will take you away from the fever of gambling.

This is a very good advice. People that goes through with these situations just need some people to talk to them. If they can't initiate it on their own, they'll be put into a harder situation. So, if you see someone that's dealing with this type of problem or addiction. Be the one to help and approach them. Not in financial help because they'll surely just going to gamble it. But have some life to life talk and how's it going to them until they admit that they're not doing good and until then, give them some motivations on how they should overcome it. They'll realize on where they have been now if they didn't get themselves into this pit of bad situation due to gambling.

After all is said and done, the real cause of gambling fever or gambling addiction isn't near misses, dopamine rush, false beliefs and illusions,  emotions, or whatever; it's gambling itself. That's the cause of gambling fever. You avoid gambling, you won't get such fever.

Sometimes, we tend to complicate things unnecessarily. You get into gambling and avoid emotional reactions; that's next to impossible. You start betting real money and won't be carried away by dopamine rush; that's too difficult in reality.

So, if you want to avoid gambling fever, just avoid gambling.

The OP listed all signs of gambling addiction. I searched online about it and it is about having the urge to just gamble every times. Which means it is happening to someone that is gambling frequently which will mostly lead to money loss.

Someone having these characteristics while gambling really need to visit a rehabilitation center for gambling addiction. But I still always think that only one thing caused this and which is looking for money from gambling. This can be used to treat the addiction.

Gambling Fever and addiction is related but they differ in terms of duration, severity and even psychological impact that it has on the individual again gambling addiction could even be seen as a health condition because it's could be seen as a gambling disorder while gambling gambling fever is not

I am not sure where the literature you used for the description that distinguishes gambling fever from gambling addiction comes from. I see both as the same. It is possible that gambling fever is a symptom that is closer to gambling addiction.
A gambler who feels the need to gamble to make money, even to the point of forcing situations to continue gambling and fulfill their desires, can already be considered to have a gambling addiction. If a gambler can no longer hold back from gambling, their common sense has been defeated. Continuing to gamble will certainly not be good.

It's the same meaning but a different name from addiction. Gambling fever is automatically addiction because you wouldn't be alright until you have gambled. Same applies to addiction. An addicted person alwwys want to continue gambling, even when he does not have funds to stake for his bet. He does all sorts of things to feed his addiction.

People who are quite greedy or those who are desperate with their income that doesn't go up, turn to gambling to make more money at first,
but their mindset about gambling is certainly wrong because it makes gambling a place to make money and hope to get rich overnight.

Finding some people who have experienced something like this and ended up losing all their money because they couldn't stop.
Gambling cannot be used as the main place to make money, it is only as entertainment so it will not disturb one's mentality.
But of course everyone has a different point of view.

There's no difference at all, the way he describe it, surely does means gambling addiction. Yes, I do agree that it's the first time that we have heard this term, but as what we have said, there's no difference at all. Maybe he just misunderstand or misinterpret it, nevertheless for those who have been gambling for years or experience it already, it will be the same. I guess he just wants to remind everyone about the dangers of gambling addiction. And again for those who have experience it, yes, it's a very difficult thread that you need to go thru. OP, if you see any gambler who claim they have gambling fever, take that person to a rehab, or strike the person with a rod. I dont mean to be rude or violent here, but only babies say they are having a gambling fever. This is the main reason only people over 18 years should gamble and should gamble responsibly.

Right, greed destroys people. It is not right to gamble with the hope of making extra money or planning to gamble with the hope of getting rich quick. Gambling is mainly for entertainment, not for making money or getting rich quick. Those who start gambling with such a wrong idea increase their chances of losing money. It is wise not to see gambling as an area of life. There are many who consider gambling as the main place to make money and bet, which causes mental stress which is not the right way to manage gambling properly. However, as far as I know, we use similar words in Indonesian, not for health conditions or addictions. I tried to find similar words in other languages, such as "gadget fever" or "bieber fever," etc, which have the same meaning.
So, "gambling fever" means a condition when many people have a strong interest and enthusiasm for gambling, whether it's sports betting, casinos, slots, or lotteries. It's similar to "fomo," when one person wins a maximum amount, and others follow suit to play slots, but it's not limited to just a person, but it can spread entire villages, city or even countries. so in the end, fever is more of a widespread social or cultural phenomenon, where many people flock to a trend or become overly enthusiastic about something at a specific time. something like this mostly only run within few months, till they are gone except addicted person.

I think gambling fever and gambling addiction is the same thing,  because from what you have explained,  it both seems the same thing to me. The signs, causes and how to get over it is the same thing as that of gambling addiction.  I really agree with your signs,  causes and how to get over it, but what I don't agree is if there is any difference from the two. I think gambling is just a funky name for gambling addiction.
So if you feel you have gambling fever, you should just know that you are addicted and you go about it the same to try to break free from it.
