It is easier to move from riches to rag than it is to move from rag to riches. The first route does not require much efforts, just live your life, don't stress yourself and enjoy your money on frivolities and you will be on free ride to rags. On the other hand, moving from rag to riches requires a lot of planning, discipline,  brain power and courage to even start. Not many people are willing to pay the price involved.

You are making a sense here because people that are at the top can easily fall while it would be quite hard for someone at the bottom to come to the top. Misery of life is unpredictable and that is why we have been seeing millionaires working extra hard so that they can keep making money by all means without looking back.

Billionaires like Elon Musk keep creating different businesses that will keep bringing money to him and in the next 10 years, Elon might become rich in trillions of dollars. This is a man that have built different business portfolio into the future so his next 10 generations would not suffer again.

Every living being (especially humans) wants a better life for themselves and hopes for it, dreams of it... But not everyone has the same opportunities, and we are not all in the same circumstances.

One of the big problems is that by "being poor" we mean having no money, like that is the only measure of wealth. But the fact is that some people don't have money but have a big heart and a good soul... a nice family and just enough bread on the table.

I remember a thread about rolex watches or other things that are essentially luxury, for rich people who already have luxury properties such as a rolex watch that they are used to wearing or with other properties, this becomes a habit that will be difficult to change, from rich to poor, a rich person is used to wealth, for example a rolex watch and when he experiences total bankruptcy, this makes his lifestyle change drastically, sometimes because he is comfortable with this luxury watch, he can be reluctant to use a watch that is below the level he usually uses when his economic and financial situation is very stable. I think something like this is true, rich people who fall into poverty have to adapt not easily, they need time, maybe quite a long time when they experience bankruptcy, but with poor people who are rich, I think they will easily adapt even if they fall into poverty again.

And it doesn't need for them to do such efforts just to stay with that kind of living. So they stay poor, live poor and but being there is what makes them happy. Look at all those people that won the lottery in the past. They were very poor, won millions of dollars and a few years later they were broke again. How did it happen? Excessive spending. Its a psychological thing where what you didn't have as a child you crave as an adult. So they were poor all their lives and when they got money they just spend it all like crazy instead of investing.

This happened to many people in Bitcoin also. Many had tons of paper profits, never realized the profits, or they did but they spend it on Lambos instead of paying their capital gain taxes and they are back where they were at the beginning.

Poor people can become rich, and rich people can become poor. I firmly believe this because I see so much real-life evidence that it all depends on our desire and the small changes we make every day that can have a big impact in the future.

That's not entirely true, not every rich person who goes bankrupt can easily rebuild their career. Many rich people go bankrupt, become homeless and never get back to their prime. Whether they can return to the top or not will depend on the cause, the reason they went bankrupt as well as their will.

By the way, if you go bankrupt and become poor, don't expect rich friends to come to your aid, that only happens in movies and reality is much harsher.

There are two types of poor people in my own opinion, poor people with civilization and poor people without civilization. The poor people with civilization doesn't only think about feeding themselves and their family, they think beyond their daily meals and they thrive for a better future, these are the ones that try every means possible to break the yoke of poverty because they have seen that life goes beyond the struggle to feed. Because they have seen civilization around them they struggle to blend in and hope for a better future. While the poor people without civilization only care about their daily survival or meals, these people are influenced by their surroundings and they feel like life is just about getting what to eat at the moment. And they have become more prone to being poor because they haven't experienced civilization and they are not aware of the other side of life.

I would say that's not "civilization" you are talking about, could be wrong word for it. That is just generational thinking. Why have hundreds of millions of dollars, even billions, just for yourself? After a certain point, what can you buy that someone poorer than you can't? Like the whole idea of having 1 billion versus having 2 billion, they both live the same life, and 2 billion can't do anything that 1 billion can't do. Whereas, if I made twice as much, suddenly I can live a much better life.

It means, if you try to live, have no debt, and save aside, then that is generational thinking, because you are not thinking about you, you are thinking about the child you have, or the charity you want to donate maybe (like Warren Buffet).

People are mostly influenced by their environment, most times they don't see past the achievements in their environments, a person can feel rich and comfortable in a place but when they go to another place they will realize that they will be seen as poor. I think that it is better to be stepping forward in life, that is challenging yourself to be going to greater heights and every achievement will be celebrated by you. Where it is painful is if you where in a better place and position then see yourself going down, the effects are very negative both physically and emotionally. Although people who goes from grace to grass will have more drive to make it because they understand what it means to have riches more than those that have not tested riches before.

We are the ones who would be that dirving ourselves into those conditions whether it would be that good or bad. Fate isnt something that could be that fixed yet there would be tons of factors on which it would be that totally affecting into those outcomes or results that would be happening along the way. This is why we cant be able to make out some conclusions basing up on assumptions and eventually there's no one could be able to predict the future or into the things that lies ahead.

I believe a higher percentage of poor people are aiming to have a better life. It's just that they are not being given a chance. Employment is low, and the monthly wage is very low. It's almost working just to survive. If you aim higher as a poor you will need a really good educational background. How can you have it if your parents cannot even afford it? I don't know the experience of been raise in riches, only then can explain better how it feel to be rich and to be poor later or have some experience of not been able to afford luxurious life but I can tell you that I have experience average life and sometimes taste luxurious lifestyle and all I can say is that luxurious life is expensive, it's not a status I can even fake or try to indulge when I don't have the means but when I do, I will taste it and come nack to my middle life, you know you only live once.

If I was aware of Bitcoin existence in 2010, I will probably would have bought $20 own by them. I couldn't afford much but I am financially strung to have it. People who are poor or have nothing that has hold that amount of money to what Bitcoin price is saying are good examples of nothing to riches. I don't know the kind of lifestyle they will want to live today if they have such Bitcoin but anyone with financial discipline that can hold Bitcoin from 2010 to now can change their life for good and be able to maintain it.

There has to be a difference but still it doesn't stop us from aspiring to be greater than we thought we can be. Dreams shouldn't have limitations but our environment most times determine how our dreams are going to belike. For someone from an underdeveloped country, aspiring to become something that's greater than the country seems impossible and most times the dream will be killed before it's actualised, only few people are able to achieve success in this conditions.

It is important to realize that it is not only the ability factor that separates the rich and the poor in terms of access and opportunity but also what they have as initial capital. I realize this may be a chasm you feel would be hard to bridge, since the wealthy have the resources to do it over and over again without fear of potentially failing and the impoverished seem to have to strategize to take an even small step into the unknown or even just to do it at all.

Most of the poor individuals are highly determined in the sense that they would without capital, networks, and opportunities would not achieve much. Economics is a significant factor that may help to decide which party is faster and which one has to remain at the same location. We should understand that success may be not only achieved as the result of hard work, but of open opportunities. We can reduce this difference by increasing the access to education, capital and information so that people that have the will are no longer restrained by economic shortcomings.
