For example, we have been trying to crack the password for, let’s call him Jim’s crypto wallet, for three months. We tested all the possible combinations he provided. We know very well that after about a week of running through crypto wallet passwords, the chances of recovery drop exponentially.

Still, we reached out to Jim again and encouraged him to search for more password hints. And guess what? He found one more password he used a long time ago and it worked with Caps Lock on. It wasn’t anything obvious or close to the previous hints.

If Jim hadn’t kept searching, Crypto Recovers would have missed this successful case. Often, the right information is just waiting to be found on the surface. Without that last bit of info, it wouldn’t have been possible to find the correct combination to access the wallet.

Double searching your device to see if you have the wallet information or backup will help you find the information or backup when you needed it if ever you did made a backup but if there isn't then no matter how you double search is it won't help at all. I hope it's a lesson for your friend to keep important information or files as your friend won't be having the problem of cracking the password of the wallet. Even in sending cryptocurreny is that you even need to double check or even triple check if it's the right wallet address just like the wallet details.

Your story is quite unbelievable because a more popular story I knew is people did not make back up and they forgot wallet passwords, forgot any clue, did not have wallet mnenonic seed backup, did not have private key backup.

Usually by lack of careful and proper backups, later they had nothing left for recovery and lost their wallets and bitcoins. It's very common story with non custodial wallet users.

They can recover their accounts on centralized exchanges without backups but it takes time and centralized platforms with custodial wallets are not good to store their bitcoin.

Losing wallets is a sign of irresponsible behavior. This is an error of the person and must be corrected. The responsible thing would be to intentionally delete wallets and use new ones regularly to improve your privacy. In that case of usage, there is nothing to double-search because you disposed of it in a secure way.

He first said he started with no hope of finding it but just did, what were he odds of finding the drive, to me it was less than 1% considering the piles of dump, even if he does find the drive how sure is he for the drive to function and access his Bitcoin. Good thanks no bank accepted to put him on loan, right now he will be losing twice, a millionaire status from losing his Bitcoin holding and owing the bank massive debt.

It's not a big deal to post fake reviews by creating multiple new accounts either in trustpilot or in forums, but make sure that people are enough smart to give their sensitive data according online reviews.
You are trying to advertise a recovery service in crypto forum, hoping someone will come today or tomorrow or after a year asking for details in private which is exactly the chance you have been waiting for.

Your idea is definitely good; you shouldn't give up actually if you lost something. But the story you shared is likely fake, to be honest. The rest of your theme would work for wallet recovery. After reading some replies here, I just realised you are here to promote your wallet recovery service actually. Also another newbie account stating that you are their team member. It does motivate me to not trust your story. This isn't really the process to introduce your service to such a community. Just come up with a proper way to launch your service on the forum.

Not sure how legit this service is but the story sounds quite plausible, tbh.
The human brain can store a lot of information for a long period of time, but, unlike a hard drive, you can’t just type a keyword and hit the search button to find a specific piece of information.
You may believe that you forgot something but, in reality, it’s still there. You just need the right stimulus to find it. Some people may even resort to hypnosis t get back very old memories.

Anyways, OP, if your intention is to pomote your recovery service, then better create an announcement thread and share your sccess story there.

Thank you — the story is real, and it happens more often than people think. Many do need help after losing their seed phrase or password. But you rarely hear someone say, “I got my 10 BTC recovered.” Most prefer to stay quiet to avoid unwanted attention and the risks that come with it. What people do talk about openly is being scammed. This silence naturally contributes to the bias against recovery services.

This message is simply a reminder: don’t lose hope, and keep searching for your wallet backups.

Supposing you have sincere intentions, I wish you all the luck.

I can't remember any forum rule that prohibits direct advertising of recovery services. As such, you can open a thread in the Services board offering what you're good at, your portfolio, and whatnot. If you have time, do some searching on that board, and you'll find a handful of others that came before you.

Apart from that, as khaled0111 suggested, you can also open another thread on the Service Announcements board.

Establish yourself first as a service entity and we'll see how it goes from there.

AFAIK, if you spam your service link on your post or make multiple threads talking about it, then that's just spam. I don't think anyone would put you on the ignore list if you put an ad on your signature space, which is basically what most services do here.

It's easier to store the 12 words on a metal plate or in a notebook. If you forget the password, you'll be able to recover your wallet.
For older wallets, because Bitcoin was no longer valuable, the password was definitely something that could be guessed.
