I can't give you an answer to that question because it's only 2025 right now, OP. And why would you ask us a hypothetical question like that when we
don't know what's going to happen in the future? We're not from the future.

However, I won't deny that I currently have holdings in both Pepe and Shiba because I believe those two will show good performance during

People cannot possibly tell about what may happen in 2030, and they are correct. The meme coins, such as Doge and Shiba, have demonstrated their staying power as they have well-built communities and a certain recognition level in the global environment. However, much is going to be dependent on how they are able to transform and remain relevant. A lot of memecoins also fade away as they have no actual cases of use or providing support. Therefore, some of them, such as Doge could still exist thanks to their popularity, but still, others might easily jettison. It is a risk as all things in crypto are.

They will. These are established memecoin projects that have existed throughout the bear market and they're still valued significantly higher than infrastructure projects in crypto. For example, EigenLayer with over $12B in TVL was valued < $1.5B FDV while all of the aforementioned memecoins were worth several billions.

I think it all boils down to distribution of the supply. If the token was distributed well and made several people good amount of money, I think you'd always have people that will stick to the project no matter what.. At least much better than these VC infested projects.

They can be pumped and dumped anytime by whales, their prices are not just based on natural growth like Bitcoin, it's not even based on the demands but retail investors are buying when they see that the price is about to be pumped while whales will  pump the coins to set trap for retail investors that will buy late and then price will dump on them. These coins will continue to exist for the purpose it is already serving.

They are memecoins and what are memes? I guess you already know what memes are by now so if you want to take something that was build for fun as a serious investment, then you should be responsible for whatever happened to your money. Memecoins should be treated as you will treat something just for fun and investment in Memecoins should be made with money you can easily part ways with. I don't want to guess what will happen to them 2030 but it has been proven that memecoins are not to be held for a long time because some of them will depreciate on value with time.

SHIBA is another subject. Still this does not mean that they will be as relevant as they are today as the market caps of all major coins continues to increase.

Why do you quickly dismiss PEPE over SHIB? According to trading volumes, PEPE is much more relevant than SHIB and has been for quite some time. Just because one of them has a higher marketcap and is slightly older, that does not mean that the other should be thrown into the bin with random memecoins. The PEPE meme is big, much bigger than SHIB whereas SHIB is just pigging backing on the success of DOGE. Without DOGE's existence, SHIB is nothing. Look

As long as we have investors who love pump and dump and prefer profit over utility, these memes will continue to exist. Lovers of the Ponzi scheme support these memes. If we look at the market, these memes have enormous volume and backing from exchanges.

Basically, any cryptocurrency is at risk of dying in the long run (due to decreased demand/interest, hacks, government crackdowns, etc.). The only exception would be Bitcoin because it's the one that started this craze. Not to mention, it's the most secure and decentralized cryptocurrency in the world.

In the case of "meme" coins, Dogecoin has a higher probability of making it through 2030 than the rest of its peers. That's because it's the oldest and most reliable "meme" coin in existence. "Meme" coins are often driven by hype, so they can easily fade away into oblivion. Since most of them are a gamble, you should only invest what you can afford to lose. For something reliable, choose ETH or BTC instead. Who knows what will happen in the future?

Agree on this especially if we don't see any utility with those meme coin and if they are been used for trading then their future is uncertain knowing that there's provably lots of changes will happen in market. For me I'd rather dump it when I earned profits when trading it since for me top alts or buy Bitcoin directly since this is really more better option to hold.

Dogecoin would provably remain since we already saw this stay for many years and it didn't drop the same as what's happening with other meme coins out there. Most of meme coins right now even if they see the bigger ones are driven by hype so expect for a dump if hype fades out and the attention of investors goes with other altcoins.

Even I have some holdings of them, though not a large amount; I just used dollar-cost averaging (DCA) on them. I still see potential in them for the future,
especially in this bull season we're currently in.

2030 isn’t really all that long. I mean Dogecoin has been around since 2013 & is still going strong. The trading volume on PEPE might be lower in 5 years as it hasn’t got the longevity of Dogecoin. I’d say Dogecoin will still be thriving in 2030. SHIB probably will be & PEPE I am least confident about still being popular.
