I think people who obsessed about Bitcoin is a Bitcoin maximalist, someone who doesn't care with everything except Bitcoin. Although I know someone who use Bitcoin won't go wrong, but would affect new invention outside of Bitcoin.

There are still few altcoins who're useful in their own purpose.

I consider someone who use Bitcoin in decentralized way is the obsessed about Bitcoin, not someone who only trying to acquire as much as they can. It's important to have obsessed people I think, they're one the reason why Bitcoin is still decentralized.

Obsession in itself is not a problem I think, but what the obsession pushes you to take care of. Obsession such as could be with Bitcoin may be good since the obsession will prompt one to get acquainted with the technology, safety of it, and the rest of the economic concepts behind it. However, when it causes you to disregard personal development or other capabilities then it turns bad. Skills can go make long term value shift to you and that is where Bitcoin can be used as a tool to ensure that value is retained hence the plausible answer is to seek an equilibrium of both.

Bitcoin is one among our investment choices, being obsessed with Bitcoin while it clouds others should be checked as well, it doesn't need to affect our life negatively, Bitcoin is an investment choice and should be treated that way.

I would say the same thing too. It's not like people can't live without bitcoin that people need to be obsessed with it although there's nothing wrong with having admired bitcoin and as you have said, bitcoin is not a cult too so let's just say that each of us have our own opinion about bitcoin or how much each of us believe in bitcoin where some may be obsessed with bitcoin or not obsessed with bitcoin. I can say that people who are obsessed with bitcoin have strongly believe that bitcoin can help them or have positive outcome in their lives and trust.

As I stated being obsessed has something to do about a person's preference.  There are people who are obsessed in collecting insects, others jewelry, and so on.  Some obessession may help the economy, community with the same goal, but others are not.

As long as this obsession with Bitcoin does not affect the person negatively, then I think it is ok to be obsessed. It will become problematic if it becomes a burden of a person instead of helping him develop.

If Satoshi hadn’t been obsessed with making decentralized money a reality, we wouldn’t even be talking about Bitcoin today.

It is subjective, if someone is obsessed with the way how bitcoin works and they believe it is the future of money then let it be that way.

He's right on his own perspective but Bitcoin is no longer just money. Because if he says so, then other important assets are also 'just' money and people shouldn't be obsessed with it. I never understood why people need to use the BTC symbol in clothes or anything. Imho it's as tacky as a dollar sign, because it's never about the tech, but basically just wealth flexing.

And i get that people get exited about something new. I know i did at the start, but i tried to shut up about it because for majority, nothing is more annoying then the one person who only wants to talk about one thing, and how everything in the world is fixed by it or connected to it.

I personally believe that Bitcoin deserves a level of obsession but certainly not the kind that blinds you to everything else.
Think of it this way, Bitcoin is more than “just money”, it’s a tool for financial sovereignty and long-term value preservation. That’s not something the world is too familiar with.

Is not like folk are just obsessed to bitcoin they just want to be part of it most of them , they have already seen the bright future of bitcoin and what is going to accomplish in a long run when come to adoption and other things .

Folk always like to know more and talk more about things they like that’s why bitcoin maxi-mist prefer talking about bitcoin only believing other coin are just distraction. And bitcoin is the main focus there’s a reason why is called the digital gold , so doesn’t mean they are being obsessed rather just showing appreciation of the previous performance of bitcoin by supporting the growth in any way they can .

My take on this would be, as long as it doesn't bring you harm, I don't see any problem if you had such belief system.

The term obsession does sound extreme to me, though. Did they perhaps gave some instances about this? Seeing the "Or maybe it's not actually an obsession at all." bit made me think they could have re-evaluate on what constitute as "obsession" in this case. That could be a good discussion as well.

You can conclude by yourself by checking and analyzing people are obsessed regards Bitcoin, so you will know if it's productive, healthy, rewarding to be obsessed for Bitcoin. Personally, I don't think so, because it means giving up on another aspects of life in order to totally focus on solely one thing, which is Bitcoin in this case. Moreover, people who are obsessed tend to become narrow minded and too strict in a way it becomes impossible to have a meaningful and pleasant conversation with them.
