The corper who went on social media with a viral video saying lagos is smelling  months ago has been denied of having acess to her certificate.

Just because of a mere statement.

I have seen that video and I don't think that's a good reason for her to be denied her certificate. If she has completed her service to the country accordingly without faulting any of the rules, I think it's her right to get her certificate.
What she said is just her observation and she has right to her own opinion,  although I know that it's not all places in Lagos that smells, because I have lived in Lagos all my life. It's definitely the area she went to smells which is the same thing in every state in the country, but that is still not a reason to withheld her certificate.
Her only mistake was to generalize it, she should have just picked out the area in Lagos and talk about the area and also call on the government to do what is right to make the area better.

They do not actually have the right to cease her NYSC certificate because of that, is actually common for someone to say that especially when all the places they have lived in while serving are the places that usually smell alot so the person could actually use it to generalized it that the entire state is smelling, the coordinators who are responsible of issuing the certificate is wrong on the action if it was the only statement the corper did, if the lady take the matter to the court she has the chance to win them because those decisions of ceasing her certificate might not actually come from high power.

I no see anything wey bad wey d lady talk ooo, na Wetin she observe, na him she talk. The main reason why NYSC officials carry d matter serious na the 77k money wey dem suppose Dey pay Corper’s wey dem no pay, and na because the lady call tinubu terrible president, and make I no lie you, Tinubu administration Dey very terrible, things are getting worst on a daily basis, and d man just luck up like say everything Dey fine.

If not for dis girl wey speak out, maybe by now Corper’s for still Dey collect 33k, na immediately after dis girl talk, na him dem increase NYSC allowance to 77k wey dem Dey pay now, maybe na NYSC officials Dey chop d money before, and as dis girl come talk d matter really pain them because she expose them.

Dis girl na girl wey every Corper suppose Dey respect because na she make NYSC start to Dey pay the 77k that period wey dem start. Yes, this happened some weeks ago, when the Corp member who made the president implement the 77k allowance was denied her certificate for some reasons best known to them.

I knew something like this will happen because in camp, the Corp members are asked to strictly stay away from saying anything public on social media, but she went ahead to make the world know that the money promised hadn't been implemented, and that was what pushed the president to do something about it.  Corp members are benefiting from that action today, but the person who made that happen is suffering. I think the DG didn't try for ceasing her certificate, and even after he knows people's eyes are on that matter he still took actions, and I just think that case is not going to die soon.

That was quite unfair decision from NYSC,if the decision to withhold her certificate stands then the constitutional  section that backs freedom of speech is a trap for vulnerable and people,even during CDS outrich  Nysc members could figure out congested environment where biodegradable and other environmental hazardous materials are decomposed,so if a single entity observed this anomalies  then decided to create awareness through media so that the appropriate quarter could react positively for the betterment of the state,all they could do was to deprive her of her certificate.
My question is even if she decides to raise awareness will the appropriate body responsible for evacuating dirts respond to her,they will ignore her ,its quite unfair that we are going through all this ,but I pray they get back to their right senses and reinstate her discharge certificate.

The Nigerian Government has never really change a bit, in spite of the changes of head of government. Freedom of speech is only written down in the constitution,and not practice in reality. Every Presidents has victimized citizen that try to speak to power, by seizing their visa or certificate. Its not a new thing in this country, many activists are in prison because they speak against government unfair treatment for the people.

The case of this corper Raye is same with others facing victimization from the Nigerian government. Her only offence was that she went live on her tiktok to remain the president of the suffering the corp members were going through with 33k allowance. After the president has made a promise to increase it to 77k, they waited for months till after Raye raised the awareness.  The Government increased it then punished her for speaking rudely to the president according to them. Lets not forget that sowore certficate was also seized till date, for speaking against bad governance. Same sowore gas dragged the Nysc DG to court for Raye certificate.  we hope this anti people government release her certificate to her, she did no wrong.
