Today, Turkey faces the Czech Republic. I expect Türkiye to win comfortably.

Well, Turkey indeed won it comfortably, and Osman-Sengun looks sensational. Although they had some "dead" moments and gave Czech the hope that they might grab the win, they dismissed any doubts at the end of the 3rd quarter/ start of the 4th. Now we have Lithuania vs Montenegro, and as I see the start of the game, Lithuania seems ready to take another win on their bucket.

The Turkish national team won the game by putting in a bit more effort than originally planned. It’s not surprising that the czech team came out this competitive, since they also want to stay in the tournament, and with this match, they’ve now lost two in a row. We made up for it with alperen’s great reading of the czech republic amateur defense and cedis excellent performance.

Estonia vs Latvia right now must be one of the worst games I have seen in ages. Estonia went from 61:54 to 61:65, not scoring for over 10 minutes and counting. I mean come on, no points for 10 minutes, that's just horrible!. Sure, Latvia also just scored 11 points but 0, there is no excuse, no even good defense.

I think the opposite; I think we watched a very good game. Yes, they couldn't score in the final quarter, and there was a major crisis, but I thought it was fun to watch. The players experienced one of the most difficult moments in basketball; they didn't even make free throws.

I think they made a mistake on the final possession of the game. They could have fouled with 20 seconds left, but the game continued, and they wasted the final possession. Still, I thought it was a fun game to watch

Latvia had very hard time against Estonia. They won game, but it was one of worst quality games that i saw for a while. Both teams didn't managed to score for more than 5 minutes in 4th quarter. And in 8 minutes there was just 2 points scored. So far Latvia looks disappointing.
Finland get easy win against Great Britain. Markkanen scored 43 points and probably it wasn't his limit, but coach left him on bench early.
Serbia wins against Portugal. Nothing to say about this game besides fact that Petrusev was ejected. IMO, he didn't deserved such strict penalty:

Tomorrow we will have 12 games as all 24 teams will play. Whole day full of great basketball.

We have started EuroBasket in the same way as Serbia. First defeating Latvia and today we did the same to Czechia. To be honest I don't think we would lose to any other team except Serbia in our group.

Alperen Şengün is our biggest weapon on this road and I believe he is one of top 3 players in the tournament. Serbia are going to be our last opponent. I already can't wait for that game because they are shown as the biggest contender for the championship.

Turkey may have easily defeated the Czech Republic, but without Alperen, the Turks would have struggled in this tournament.
Alperen is everything to the team.
He came very close to a triple-double yesterday.
If Ergin Ataman had given Alperen a little more playing time, he would have achieved a triple-double.
Turkey is currently on track with two wins.
However, when the Czech Republic appeared to be the dominant side in the first period of yesterday's match, I wondered for a moment if there would be a surprise result in this match.
Thankfully, Alperen is here. It looks like it's going to be an Alperen-Jokic clash in the Türkiye-Serbia match.

Yes that's true Portugal's defense is good but a little aggressive though for me it's a good defense, the Serbia really have a tough time playing offense because of this aggressive defense but Serbia is good both defense and offense. The next match in few minutes will be with Lithuania and Germany both team is 2-0 and shows good performance in their previous matches, though with Schröder and Wagner offense I think they would dominate a win over Lithuania though it might be a little challenging with the rebounding skills and size of Valančiūnas.

I don't agree with people who think Portugal had a good defending. If they'd been really that good they'd have done something in the 1st half already.

They couldn't finish any of the first three quarters ahead of Serbia.



Portugal were 15 points behind in Q3 already and not much changed in Q4 either.

Both Latvia and Estonia are bad basketball teams.
The final quarter was a disaster. It felt like the players were throwing bricks at the basket instead of balls.
Latvia capitalized on home advantage and won.
Bad games like this happen sometimes. Even in the first quarter. Players can't get going and can't make baskets, but scoring only two points in eight minutes in the final quarter is terrible. It's like watching a football game, not a basketball one.

As we saw in the serbia game, the portuguese play very aggressively. It will be our first serious match. Hopefully, we can win the game without any injuries. The turkish basketball team likes a high tempo, while portugal prefers to slow the game down, so I don't think there will be many points scored.

I was very pleasantly surprised by Latvia, which, with Bertans and Porzingis, put up a great fight against Serbia. This will be a very good championship when we see games like this with such battles.

Honestly, I didn't expect such a fight from Latvia, and they probably would have won the game if Serbia hadn't had the "Joker". Greece wins easily against Cyprus without Giannis, France beats Slovenia in a very tight and controversial game, and Estonia demolishes Czechia while Sweden takes the win against GB as it was expected. Now I'm waiting to see Markkanen (once again) making a flying game!

Great game between Slovenia and France. With 3.5 minutes remaining result was 83:83, but then France made very powerful run and won the game.

Both Latvia and Estonia are bad basketball teams.

They're not bad teams. As you said, shit games can happen for everyone. Latvia is strong team, they proved it today in game against Serbia. Though, it wasn't enough to beat Serbia. While Estonia is decent mediacore team

Portugal was very good in the previous match; they defended really well, and I thought they were a strong team. Tonight, they couldn't do anything against Türkiye. Türkiye quickly dominated the match and fielded a lineup that allowed them to rest their players.
It was a great match for Türkiye, both for the players to rest and for the bench players to gain confidence. We watched a match with a score difference of over 40 points. In the end, Türkiye finished with 95 points, and Portugal with 54

We simply destroyed Portugal today. 

However I should say I never thought it'd be this easy... A gap like 41 points at the end. We had a really high percentage on our shots and I loved the way we defended once again.

Alperen and Ömer Faruk were both great today! Now we are in the lead in Group A thanks to game points difference. So far we've been winning more comfortably than Serbia which is giving us hope for a big success in the tournament.

The best is not to get carried away with this of course.

Yeah our German team is on a roll at the moment. 3rd win in a row, 3rd win by 19 or (mostly) more points and 3rd game of scoring at least 105 points. That's actually crazy. So many points in 40 minute games says a lot. Still we have problems on defense sometimes cause our teams occasionally is slacking a little bit. Against teams like Serbia for example we can't have that happen. But yeah, the start is more than promising and I have high hopes for the for the rest of the group games and the start of the KO stage.
