Welcome.
With faucets, you will have a lot of work to do. But it's possible.

Hi, faucets will take down the bad road... .01 BTC is 4$ - simply buy it.

Where's the fun in that?  Roll Eyes

Besides.. Why would I spend money to buy money?

Well you wont get money for free either.

Really?? one learns something new everyday..

So.. expecting donations?? would that be considered wanting free money? Roll Eyes

You're still using up your time asking for donations, so that isn't really free either... unless you value your time that little. Tongue

No idea... though you can propose that somewhere in the Marketplace.

Quite a few, I believe: http://bitcoinpokersites.net/.

OP, you could make a thread in the digital goods section. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=93.0

Just a friendly reminder, use escrow whenever possible. Smiley

Thanks..

But just so I understand it.. Escrow is like a 3rd party holding money making sure that both parties make good on the deal, right?

Welcome. Drop the faucets - it'll take weeks before you actually get anything.

And even then that anything is still likely to be nothing lol.

Forget about faucets. It doesn't worth the time.
Buy some bitcoin when it is cheap, and you can sell goods and service for bitcoin as well.

Ok.. a new problem!

I went to a site to buy something and.. they say they accept Bitcoins.. Wonderful!

So I clicked on the bubble which says "pay with BTC" and a window pops up..

It says bitpay and it's showing an address and a square thingy with lots of dots??

 Huh

What am I suppose to do next?

Shocked I just closed the damn thing and ran away

I think I found a scammer:  Cheesy

His Id: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=138245
His thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=558752.new#new

Here's the proof:

Yeah! fun for you if you someone trusts you and send you free money.  Grin

Is BallTheKing, your another ID ?

He sells you the $40 amazon gift card first, leaves you good trust review.
Then He purchases a $40 amazon gift card from you, leaves another good trust review?

LOL, nice trick!  Cheesy

Same day!

The two quoted trust feedback link us to https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=524291 and https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=528634.
It seems BaalTheKing was the seller for both trades.

The scary square thing with lots of dots is a qr-code, which you can scan it to create the payment.  Smiley

On the left side of the qr-code, you should find an address together with an amount of btc.
At the bottom, there should be a timer counting down from 15:00.

To complete the trade, you need to send exactly that amount of btc to that address within 15 minutes.
