If all governments ban bitcoin, the price of bitcoin will fall significantly but bitcoin will remain to exist for the purpose it was created which is P2P and some people will continue to use it.

Yes. Bitcoin doesn't need exchanges to work or survive. Many exchange has stopped monero but it's still surviving.
The price would fall sharply and may take time to recover but it's value would still remain

Are crypto exchanges not part of the reason why we continue to have shitcoins being listed and introduced, are they not revealing our privacy and taking advantage of us, if they were banned, then its worth it, because p2p initially was not designed to be done on a centralized exchange, maybe such will be the eye opener for the people in realizing that decentralized exchanges are more better than a centralized one for us to use.

It is ok perhaps Bitcoin signifies freedom in so many ways including freedom of thought hahahaha, it is quite funny but is ok, from the spotlight Bitcoin has given such possibility of Bitcoin or crypto exchanges to be ban in all countries is very low, for crypto exchanges alot has happened in most countries some popular ones are already ban but that doesn't stop p2p from taking place in such countries because new ones kept coming up, the governmental authority in my country has shown skepticism in cryptocurrency in some kind of way while indirectly they are optimally utilizing the benefits, am optimistic that Bitcoin and cryptocurrency will continue to gain support from various government of countries and the such negative thoughts of the op will not come to pass, is a digital era and Bitcoin has changed lots of narratives.

Firstly, it is impossible for all countries to agree on this. Each country pursues its own interests and often their goals differ. Therefore, there will always be countries loyal to bitcoin, and some will simply take a neutral position. For some countries, the presence of exchangers will be financially beneficial and they will take advantage of this in order not to ban.

Secondly, the ban of exchangers doesn't mean "death" for bitcoin. Users will still be able to use this asset, and probably, in this case, bitcoin will be used more as a means of payment, since there will be no possibility to withdraw "value" into traditional forms of money. That is, they will pay each other for goods and services in bitcoin directly.

I assume that in this case, bitcoin would be used less as a speculative instrument and would be "closer" to its original function.

It won't happen if there is no policy reverse against Bitcoin Spot ETFs in the USA and other countries. In addition, there are Centralized Exchanges and Decentralized Exchanges and governments can only ban CEX, not DEX.

DEX if truly decentralized, can not be shut down, or ban by governments. Just like Mixers, they can not ban mixers completely but if they consider mixers or DEX as illegally, people behind mixers and DEX must be more careful, stay anonymous while there are people in the world continue to use those services.

Ban DEX is not enough to prevent people trade Peer to Peer with each other, and when it goes to P2P, governments can not detect and ban those transactions.

You have said this at a difficult level. Even if all countries ban crypto exchanges, Bitcoin will not disappear completely. Because its technology (blockchain) is decentralized, many users will continue to transact privately.
But yes, the price may fall a lot. If such a time comes, then new ways will emerge with time because technology cannot be stopped. Modern people are now thinking in an updated way, and no matter how much they declare a ban on it, it is impossible to suppress it.

I think OP didn’t even just look back to see how bitcoin was been traded before the arrival of this centralized exchanges it will have given OP the idea how bitcoin will be when they are no longer available. Truthfully with out deep centralized exchanges have eaten up into this space if all country announces their ban it will greatly have a negative impact on bitcoin because most people actually to bitcoin through them and even though it is a bad route they seriously aided adoption so the negativity will be there but that would never kill bitcoin or cryptocurrency as there is decentralized entities that cannot be banned. In the past and present even transactions were been carried out on this forum and I think it will go back yo been that.

But seriously the OP has asked a very wrong question because if there is anything that the government supports is centralization and banning exchanges might be like banning centralized exchanges this will even make transactions more private as there won’t be exchanges to help them get identity of people anymore

In a perfect world, it is technically and fundamentally not possible! So I wouldn't think too much on this.

But for argument if I consider that all countries banned crypto exchanges and implemented punitive measure for crypto users, Bitcoin’s value would drop sharply in the short term — possibly catastrophically. But it wouldn’t go to absolute zero unless the network itself was shut down. Now this part is technically much harder and almost impossible.

So impact will be there but Bitcoin wouldn't die immediately.

What makes you feel that all countries will ban crypto? Well considering the awareness bitcoin created this past few years even if all countries banned bitcoin those who are already in that space would definitely look for a way to maintain their ongoing buying of bitcoin, just like those countries that banned gambling yet most of thier citizens still make attempt to gamble so banning bitcoin can not even stop the value from increasing as it used to, rather it can only reduce population as alot of people would want to stick to the rule while some guys would want to do it regardless but, in a way that people will not find out not even the government. But this is not what we should be dreaming of.

Out of everything, Bitcoin definitely will survive. But the market will collapse; it's hard to discuss a matter that won't happen ever. Do you believe something like this is going to happen? At least I am not going to believe it when we are witness to a massive adoption of Bitcoin. We can discuss possible scenarios only of what would happen if your doubts become true. If suddenly it wouldn't happen, then when it is announced there will be massive liquidation due to panic selling.

When institutions get started exiting due to the ban on all crypto exchanges worldwide, there will be a massive price dump. I can't imagine the price right now, but it will dump quite faster. But slowly people will find alternatives. P2P will rise again to trade Bitcoin illegally. People will find the black market to trade Bitcoin, and there would be something like a decentralised exchange where people could trade Bitcoin with other cryptocurrency. Then again, the market will start rising, and I don't know when it will recover fully.

Sure it won't happen. Op is just raising a hypothetical question or maybe rhetorical because we all know the answer. One reason for me that it can't happen is because governments as a case study does not work in unison. They are divided within themselves and won't agree on a single policy. We have the NATO group, we have the BRICS and other groups plus those who have a kind of inate hatred that won't consent to rival policy and or suggestion. So at all point, the center can not hold for such alignment to scale through.

However, to say that exchanges seize to exist, it can only cause sharp decline in price but afterwards it will start gaining confidence again through P2P, institutional transaction etc.

Do remember, each country has their own free will regarding this, so I don't think all countries would just ban crypto. Because the more realistic situation is that, one or several countries may ban but not all. So the discussion I guess, is pointless. We will only be talking about theoretical scenario here.

Just like with gambling, some countries especially Muslim countries are banning gambling. However, for most, they are openly regulating gambling. So with btc or crypto in general, some countries may go against with it to the point of total ban for this market, but I would say, most countries will open door for crypto owed to the benefits it can bring to people as well as their financial transactions.

I don't think there is much to happen on the market value as the majority of holders are in use of exchanges to perform this with other users globally, the market must contain for the buying and selling, which must not really come out from the exchange, but through every application  that could make us have bitcoin, another fact check is that all countries cannot ban bitcoin, but they may ban any alt coin as the case may applies.

common mate, you need to be positive for once. how can you come  up with this idea at the first place? first of all country can not ban all exchanges and nothing will happen to the price of bitcoin. you should know that currently many country are not buying bitcoin due to some government prohibition and yet nothing is affecting bitcoin price. although if majority of country dont use or trade bitcoin, it will slow  the process but time will tell how the price will be in the future after many people have accepted it.
