Recently I have been reflecting upon how Bitcoin can really be used by ordinary people, not just HODL and hope or pray. Always we hear how some people got rich overnight, but in reality most of us have the harder struggle of keeping the value of what we do before inflation take a nibble at it and slowly depleting it.

Consider yourself, or somebody with a fixed salary in a quickly escalating-prices country. More often than not, money in your wallet will lose value as each month passes even when you feel your income is sufficient. And that is where Bitcoin comes in handy not as a ticket to the lottery but as a hedge.

So this is what I have found out and experimented myself:

• Monthly Allocation: Just buy a little bit of your income, say 5 to 10 percent and always convert it to Bitcoin. In the long-term this develops a buffer to inflation without affecting your day-to-day expenditure.

I think it's the last one is the most important aspect of Bitcoin accumulation. Money come and goes, but if you have tried at least one full cycle (which is recommended by the way), then it's mentally tough as there will be a lot of challenges along the way. Like there will be a emergency that will happen that you need money, hence you need to withdraw some (this has happened to me in 2022 where my older sister die so I have to take some from my stash).

And obviously if you see your portfolio and then it's going up, sometimes there will be some temptation that you want to sell and get the profit as well. So it's going to be a lot of mental battle going on if you accumulate and HODL for one full cycle, or at least 4 years.

Good points you have raised. However mental discipline is far more important in any investment. If someone wants to build a good sizable amount in the future, disciplined investment at regular intervals, will always help to achieve the goal.

I have been investing in many assets a long time now. But the amount of return Bitcoin and ETH has given to me, cannot be match with any other investment. So I always ensure to invest a small amount from my salary into Bitcoin. It is certainly helping me with inflation but it has also helped me building a Corpus that no other assets could achieve.

For me holding long term is priority but it is also required to invest regularly.

Motivation and setting a goal are the keys; you have to renew your goal and motivation by watching price history and the past events that threaten Bitcoin’s existence.

I agree that holding Bitcoin and limiting the usage of fiat would be wise in case the ultimate objective is to avert being affected by inflation. That way, your Bitcoin continues to appreciate and your fiat continues to become poorly bought.

Personally, I attempt at separations. I keep the majority of Bitcoins in form of savings, whether it is a payment or just a taste. In that way, I can continue to use it as money, but not to spend any of my long-term stack.

Naturally, it is also desirable to have an emergency fiat fund, as otherwise people may run and sell their Bitcoin when money is needed. To me, Bitcoin is a hedge and a currency to use, it is just a matter of how much you allocate to it on each side.

People tend to hold Bitcoin because of its volatility, the potential to increase over time and you making profit from it while, stablecoins just maintains its value. For me, it's simply better to have an emergency fund in your fiat currency and make sure you have enough cash flow in fiat for your monthly expenses. The rest you can invest in bitcoin, skipping stable coins. But in general, the best way to combat inflation is to invest in something that beats it hands down, and for that, the best option available to us is bitcoin.

We've been telling this for a long time, it's about DCA. We can buy from our income for as long as we're available to do it. There is no pressure at all, any amount of allocation should do fine.

Actually none. It's the same like what you've said and other people have been doing. DCA, saving a few from my income and I don't have to be pressured doing it. Any amount that I can allot to buying Bitcoin, it's already my safeguard from inflation. Others don't have an idea why this is an important thing to do. We have to do something to hedge against inflation and that's through holding and buying Bitcoin.

There was a reason for @Dareo to have brought this two things together and from what he said I understand the purpose of the inclusion of the stablecoins, if you read back his statement you will see that he mentioned a bit of paying bills and some other physical things so actually having the stablecoins will now help you to use it for those physical bills that would arise because if having only Bitcoin investment without any other things what would the person use for those physical bills? So actually the stablecoins Op is referring is something to prevent the investors from thinking negatively on there Bitcoin.

With how it goes nowadays, most people will not just spend the Bitcoin that they own because whether we like it or not, the majority holds Bitcoin because it's treated as an investment, a store of value and that's why we like to hold it. While no one is stopping us from using it as an actual payment, even in the forum, it's used as payment for campaigns and other services. So, with that usage, we can see that it's being utilized well and all of us are using it the way it's designed but we're choosing what we think is beneficial for us since it's got a limited supply which makes it more valuable in the near future.

Most people miss that chance, I wish more people knew about it, and we can definitely reach to that level if given enough time. But the reality is simple, not enough people trust "hodling" process.

First of all, not the whole world invests into bitcoin, sure we have more people investing into bitcoin than before, but it's still not all.

Secondly, between people who leverage bitcoin, who hold short term and leave, and people who invest into shitcoins etc, out of ALL crypto people, only a small portion buys and holds bitcoin for 10+ years.

As long as you not regret or disturb other people, it's fine.

Many people fall to either one because they regret for selling Bitcoin price at loss due to emergency needs, or they borrow someone else money with promise after Bitcoin price reach x price, they will pay back.

I would advise Average Joe should have emergency funds, not like you, because Average Joe can't being okay after selling at loss.

In as much as fiat don't appreciate, and it is advisable to leave most of the asset in Bitcoin so as to give an edge against inflation, doing so for emergency funds might not necessarily be the best idea for most people, though, there are some that can definitely find a way to navigate the whole thing so they don't get their emergency funds at a loss.

But as far as savings is concerned, banks might not just be the best option. Inflation keeps rising while fiat keeps losing its value. Bitcoin should do the job.

This alone changes the whole game and make you stand out among others who literally not doing this even if they earning higher than you. Periodic purchase of Bitcoin off your income is a sign of financial breakthrough and as such this investment should be kept for long term no matter any storms that comes along.

When you say "ordinary people", you need to understand that most ordinary people around the world don't earn more money than they need on a day to day basis, so if they take out 10% from what they earn, they will have to rely on other people to lend them some money until they get paid again. I'm pretty confident that those who earn more money than they need every month aren't ordinary people, but they come amongst the blessed ones, because if you are living a good life with every possible facility you may require or even want, and still able to save money, you are truly blessed.

So, based on what I just described above, the method or the points you just mentioned aren't actually for ordinary people, but they are for those who are earning good money, or at least earning more than enough. I don't earn too little, but I still can't save much each month because of inflation, and hence, I can't put 10% or even 5% of my total income in Bitcoin every month, and I consider myself ordinary.

I don't pay bills or settle emergencies with stablecoins, so i hodl my emergency funds in my fiat currency and i do not hodl any stablecoins. I actually do not like to hodl stablecoins for the long term because of obvious reasons, and when i use them it is for immediate use. Bitcoin is a great way to stay ahead of inflation, and it will continue that way, particularly with how governments keep on printing fiat currencies, while bitcoin has a capped supply and its demand is ever increasing.
