Bitcoin marketcap is 58.82% which is not easy at all, making up more than half of all the coins in the world in dominance.

Seeing a news like this can make many people to buy altcoins full of pump and dump. Some will not even pump at all.

Recently most altcoins are not that increasing but just few like ethereum but which has not gotten to all-time high. Also altcoins are not really predictable, they can stop risking at anytime.

Just be careful and not always buy the news.

There is no profit opportunity for such individuals in the market. Furthermore when altseason arrives, the lucky ones will be those who have accumulated for a long time. This also depends on the altcoins owned, as not all altcoins will be profitable.

I think you’re right to be skeptical. Most altcoins really don’t survive in the long run, and a lot of them are just pump-and-dump projects with no real use case. That’s why I always say it’s better to review them constantly and get rid of outdated bags like Tron or EOS instead of holding and hoping.

Bitcoin dominance above 58% shows clearly where the real strength is. Even Ethereum, which is one of the stronger projects, hasn’t reached a new ATH yet – so expecting random altcoins to suddenly outperform is just dangerous wishful thinking.

Predictions are not always right, altcoin season compared to Bitcoin season is the worst season to furiously throw in much funds inside the market. Chances of profiting from altcoin season are pretty low, most altcoins nowadays are shady and unrealistic in generating massive profits just the way people think or raise high hopes.

Advise to altcoin investors to always make own research and aswell know that investment in altcoins shouldn't be held for a long time as most new projects don't stand the test of time.

If it is true that alt season has arrived, now is the time for selling alts, buying time was back when they were cheap.

Skyrockets, like dumps, are often so fast to re-trace halfway back that if it was not your own existing offers that got "taken" you already missed the best part of them.

See those very thin parts of candles that extend farther than the main body of the candle?

That is often what you missed by not having been the offers that the move chewed its way through when it extended its furthest.

See some green candle already started? You missed the time to buy, it is those who already bought who are in on that one.

If you are looking to buy, you should be hoping alt season is not yet here, if it is not then there is maybe still time to buy before it arrives.

Better than buying from sell offers at all of course is placing lowball buy offers while dip/dump season is on, to catch the bottoms of the dips / dumps and place the proceeds as ascending sell offers ready and waiting for alt season or even unseasonal skyrockets...

There are two things that could be going on:

1) They care only about the fees, so they want to engage retail to become more active because of which Coinbase will earn more money.
2) Desperation. It is possible that we never see an altcoin season as the previous one. Because of this prominent people and entities will try to do everything possible to create an artificial one by tricking people with manipulations.

Who was it from from Coinbase that said so? I am honestly doubtful when ever companies or their CEOs start to make bullish predictions. It's not like they wouldn't be obviously shilling people to buy more of those coins anyway. Remember Arthur Hayes making unrealistic targets before the crash?

Almost everyone has a vested and biased interest in things, very few people have a well working brain. If they did, they would not make stupid predictions which are not necessary. Many prominent people had extremely bullish predictions in the last cycles that didn't materialize.

Those who are rushing to buy altcoin now are not even making the right decision because to me it seems to be too late, and anyone who is following the news from coinbase or a tweet from x can actually misleading people because they wouldn't know the effects and the magnitude of what they are following because most times news like this do entrapped people and there is no clear evidence that market gonna bull soon or later. From what I sense, if bull has to come we could had seen it earlier than this but instead it was all about Bitcoin creating several ATHs.

Yeah, if Coinbase shills at its finest with the altcoins. There is one thing that we need to be careful about and that's in believing them. They're an exchange and if they tell things like this, people shouldn't be quick in believing them because what could happen is just an awaited bear market already for many of the alts or for the entire market itself. I remember when popular names telling that the price of bitcoin could go as high as it can, the next day comes in an opposite prediction that they've mentioned. Although they have been right on it when bitcoin has reached its $100k mark but it took years to happen.

I like to think majority of crypto holders will be happy with an alt season especially since the bulk part of this bull run was only on Bitcoin. Alts barely move and have been bleeding to bitcoin for months. It's only recently that a few selected alts have seen some decent growth like ENA, PENGU, etc.

I tend to think alt seasons come in the last stages of the bull run which is why I do agree with your message about "being careful".

I'd be more careful, the altcoin season is already happening and it's happening to ethereum.

The other coin isn't getting any inflow at all except maybe some, and if you observe the BTC dominance, seems about to hit support, but then again watching the BTC dominance is crucial right now, if it broken the support altcoin season might come.
I personally already cashed out my altcoin holding and waiting for dump in next month if there's any. If market just went altcoin season I guess i'm gonna miss out the opportunity but at the very least already have positive PnL.

I still think that based on history the only way to see an "altcoin season" is for bitcoin to start rising up heavily and consistently in a full scale bull market to attract a lot of money into the bitcoin market, so that some of it can be poured into the altcoin market.

All we have been having so far has been sideways market with little rises. That doesn't attract newbies aka victims for altcoin pump and dump schemes. That makes a full scale "altcoin season" a lot more difficult.

Not really that wrong, market is on verge of something like that and we have seen ETH increases and other increases so far as well, proving that we are doing fine.

It's going to be a great thing to move, and this is why I have a full belief that we are going to see the increase happen soon enough, and shouldn't really be a problem at all.

We can definitely see a period of corrections like these of course but that doesn't mean that it will go differently.

It's mostly a method of growing for us and corrections are part of it.

I have honest trust into crypto and alts that soon they will be on a good big bull run. When? I have no idea exact date, but it should be before the new years, so sometime in the next 3-4 months.

Yeah, I think investors are getting smarter though, it's not like that we are in 2018-2020 era wherein every shill that we heard, everyone is going to fall for ti. And even if it came from a reputable exchange like Coinbase, we should take everything with a grain of salt.

Also when someone is shilling that there will be a full scale altcoin season, usually it's the opposite that is going to happen. So like the rest of us here, and I think majority might have already stay away from the altcoin market and stay only with Bitcoin because it really took altcoins this far before we can feel that at least they are in the bull run. So I'm guessing that the most of us are still in the Bitcoin market and will not get out of our position until a new all time high is seen.
