How many "missing the bus" stories have you seen online lately? I guess so many, It's 2025 but someone in 2010 still claimed they missed the bus too, it will be the same in 2035, many will say the same thing.

It's never too late for Bitcoin as long as you are confident that you can continue to accumulate using DCA even when prices are high. There is a lot of talk about people missing the boat because they keep putting off buying Bitcoin.

2010 was a very simple year where you could easily get "free" Bitcoins. It was a good year the early birds have retired off to some good life in some island sipping coconut water on the beach and watching the sunset. Maybe I am just fantasizing what I would have done if it were me.
Well no regrets. Still happy that I am here. Some people are still living in doubts.

i get your point.. it’s never really too late

most people only look at bitcoin as buy & hold for retirement which is true.. the value keeps proving itself but what many forget is that bitcoin was more than just an investment... it was the seed of blockchain and showing us money can move without banks or paypal and from that idea came defi, web3 and even how todays platforms like apple pay or google pay work with more trust & security

so yep it’s about not missing the bus on value but also not missing the bus on the freedom this tech brings

Well, not lately but over the years I've seen quite a few like this one. The only thing I think is different is that future returns will probably be lower than those of the early years. But even so, we have to realise that someone who starts now and manages to accumulate 0.1 bitcoin or so over time could have a fortune in that hypothetical future.

Of course it is, you need to do some research on numbers and do some thinking. People said that 1 BTC was the standard already during the previous ATH of $20k and look where we are now? That would be already 0.25 BTC is the old 1 BTC. If you believe Bitcoin will stay undervalued like this forever you are in for a surprise.   Very few people will manage to own 0.01 BTC and even fewer 0.1 BTC. 0.01 BTC is already worth more than $1000 and with this value it excludes most of the humans on the world from owning this amount as they can't afford to invest $1000 in anything.

However, people who invest in Bitcoin recently, they might only happy because they earn decent amount and their investment aren't at loss.

Most of these people end up losing money, this is not good advice. The age of good projects that make great returns is over. The space is back to the one and only true cryptocurrency, Bitcoin. How many new people were told to not buy Bitcoin but go ahead into Solana memes during the hype, 99% of them lost money.

Ever since I joined Bitcoin community, I have heard this thing so many times that it's too late to buy Bitcoin. In Dec 2017, when price of Bitcoin went up to 19k same voices were heard i.e. it's now too late to buy Bitcoin. This is normal with Bitcoin that whenever it's price touches it's new ATH, people start saying that it's now too late to buy Bitcoin. Imagine how profitable Bitcoin will be today if one has bought Bitcoin at 50k. But it's useless to cry on past, just keep accumulating even at current price because Bitcoin will soon be at 200k.

In 2010, bitcoin is still being given as airdrop and faucet back then hard ot of reward, so basically that was the time if free bitcoin before the coin gained alot of recognition and it value have increased alot to where it is right now.

If you check bitcoin past statistics and compared to now and to forecast the future, it means definitely that bitcoin will have double it orice and value, but to say we have same opportunities as their hard then  now is quite an uncomfortable statement as their have been alot of challenges that current investors faces that those in 2010.

Exactly, That's what i say to people. It's not Too Late..Even people in 2010 thought they "missed the bus" but Oh my, look at the value of 600 BTC now. People in 2010 wished they had more. In 2014 people Wished they had got BTC at the price which people in 2010 bought and in 2018 people wished they bought it at 2014 and now people wish they had bought BTC in 2023. But some years after now people will wish to buy it at 120k but they won't be able to. So the best time to buy BTC is The PRESENT.

you are just doing numbers gymnastics by comparing how much a set amount of fiat could get you then vs now to say 0.25BTC is the old 1BTC. but 1 bitcoin is always going to be 1 bitcoin, what really changes is the fiat value.

that's obv. just from a supply POV there will only be 21 million bitcoins (~3.5 million already estimated to be lost), and we have 8 billion people on earth.

In life,i come to understand that life never be the same with everyone,some many people who say that the Miss the bus,i think they are right because maybe they are not aware of what is Bitcoin is all about or they think it will not generate anything in their life some many feel it's a scam,

But the most important thing Is that those who missed the bus back then have come to realize their mistakes and they're still time to recover all you have lost.

My major concern now is that a lot of people are still not aware or believe in trading or investing in Bitcoin so what I'm trying to say, is that alot are yet to say they miss the bus too....

It's understandable if he says he missed the bus because the price in 2010 was still very low, it would be different if he said it now with the amount he has, missing the bus might be because he didn't buy at a cheaper price than today.
I also missed the bus because I didn't save more than what I got a decade ago, only those who patiently save longer do not miss the bus.
Most of us feel the same way.

I thank God I joined early then even though am still as new as an infant on this forum. Theres a lot of buzz about bitcoin that even the latest of movies never fail to mention or apply its knowledge in some way to create awareness about bitcoin and am sure the world is evolving so much so to use it because it is currency that would soon gain large customers or user base significantly. It is hard to buy just one bitcoin right now but am sure that buying in fractions and maintaining my buying rate over some time would be a substantial amount i have saved up that no one may be aware of.  
I will do my best to learn how to make this is a reality because right now the economy is not favorable, and the banking sector and oil sector has done a lot to make matters worse in my country.

It is not numbers gymnastics, it is what the author meant with his post and it continues to be true. The old 1 BTC is now the 0.25 BTC and soon it will be 0.1 BTC that is hard to own and soon after 0.01 BTC will be very hard to own.   His post is accurate, perhaps you don't understand it.

I personally don't agree with this way of thinking, I understand what you're trying to say, but it's not something I support. It's never too late to purchase Bitcoin, you can always buy fractions of it, 0.01 BTC is considered a decent amount nowadays,  but it's unlikely to become life-changing or to  be the "new Bitcoin" as you've mentioned. Currently, 0.01 BTC is approximately $1,200, what kind of expectations can you have from such amount?

From what I observed there, it seems @Ichi was actually referring to a particular event that took place that week, it could be mining related or earning from somewhere online which was kind of free but he could not generate enough Bitcoin from it like other people did, so he said he missed that bus. That is what am guessing that happened there. Regardless of that event, we also should still remind our self that we are never late.
