Here I am, turning off the sounds ever since I started online gambling, yet I still fell. Sounds don’t make gamblers irresponsible, greed does. For me, the sounds are distracting, so I turn them off. I don't totally agree with that. I know it's true that when you are experienced, you tend to know more things, but when it comes to being irresponsible, especially in gambling, it's basically the nature of a person that makes them act that way, and it barely has much to do with experience. That's why I think a person who has been gambling for a long time can still be more irresponsible than someone who just started gambling if they have an irresponsible nature by birth or maybe because they were spoiled early on in life.

You're right, I think muting the sound when gambling as you said is just the possible way out. That's for those that feel that hearing the sound of the casino would make them to think of coming back to the casino or make them to start gambling irresponsibly, but I refused to accept the fact that sound can make one to be gambling irresponsibly. I personally switch the sound off every time I gamble online (the few times I've gambled in physical locations I've had no choice...). It is well known how sounds can be used to manipulate animal and human behaviour, and the industry knows it well. That's just what sound does, it triggers the brain to seek for gaming sessions, even when they were not really interested in playing at the moment. People get appetized by perceiving the vapour of a nice meal. Sensories send signals to the part of the brain that pushes the body to want something at once. In the gaming house, it shouldn't be much a factor, because whoever goes there already went to play, with or without hearing any sound they'll wager anyways.

I discontinue from gambling when sounds are not on, i don't know what they do to me but that don't make me an addict, it is enjoyable with the sound than without. To my own convenience specifically, I love the sounds especially when I'm alone in a convenience calm environment. The sound spices the fun with a more dynamic of the game being more entertaining.
