There is a significant amount of people here who just want to current regime to be ousted and they would be willing to accept the consequences of a military action by the United States, if that meant to get rid of Maduro.
However, I personally would like to have a regime change without the help of the USA, become it would make the change more traumatic for civilians like me, though this regime is criminal and it is not willing to let us go and be free through peaceful means, that fact leaves violent options open, that is a consequence of them stealing the lastest presidential election.
The United States are not the impersonification of the goodness and their military are not saints, but the United States is at least and functioning republic which have more standing values than us.
Hi,
How are things going on there in Venezuela after Maduro?
recently i was thinking about my country Iran. Maybe you know, in last month there where a huge protest here and it have suppressed heavily.
Two governments took most benefit of this suppression:
- Local Iran government needed this suppression to make the protesters calm and make the country calm.
- US government needed this suppression to convince public opinion that they have to attack Iran
So i believe they both did their best to amplify the suppression.
Most painful thing is that ~20k of people (mostly young ones) are died during the suppression. Iran says U.S. killed people, U.S. says Iran kill people. is same thing happening out there?
No, there is no violence on the streets here. People are calm and they carry on with their life peacefully while we read the news on what could happen to this country with the new administration and the influence of the United States upon us.
Inflation continues to be an important problem, but it is not going as fast as it used to and some prices have dropped in price.
I heard about what happened with the thousands of people who have been killed there, it is just a tragedy and young people have to die in order for democracy and law to blossom in a country. But unfortunately that is how things are, dictators and autocrats won't ever leave power by their own, they always need to be pushed out.
