On Bitcointalk, I would likely agree it is him. On social media though I will simply believe it is another faketoshi and not. But what will happen tomorrow that will make him reveal himself.

Ok let me agree to your point let’s say he reveals himself (we don’t know if he is even a person) but if he isn’t some alien while freak out. I will gladly extend my appreciations to him/her or them for such a remarkable piece of innovation.

If Satoshi revealed themselves tomorrow in a way that was truly verifiable I wouldn’t freak out or sell. The code and the network already stand on their own. For me the biggest shift would be psychological seeing the myth become a person. It could bring clarity but it could also diminish some of the mystery that helped fuel Bitcoin’s story. At the end of the day I think the principles and decentralisation matter more than who Satoshi is. The legacy is already bigger than the individual.

2) There is no way he can prove himself, even if he was alive.

That would definitely make a headline, especially if he signs a message to prove he’s the real owner of the account. But honestly I doubt he’ll ever show up. With Bitcoin being this valuable now, if he’s still alive his holdings are already massive. That would only put his life in danger.

Most likely he’ll just choose to live a simple life, since he can always take a stash from his Bitcoin whenever he needs to spend something.

Satoshi Nakomoto is either a person or are a group of cypherpunks that valued his or their privacy and anonymity and if he or they did not leak their identity in early days and years of Bitcoin existence, it's impossible that he or they will break it now.

Especially now, governments have more concerns on Bitcoin and consider it as threats against their central banks, fiat currency systems and success of CBDCs.

At one time, Satoshi Nakamoto posted his address but likely he deleted it by himself after that.

It will be surprising because I never thought he would ever show up. I will also be expectant because there is are lot of information I expect to get from him.

You suspect that people will sell because of the fear that he will dispose of all his Bitcoin hodling. This might make the price of Bitcoin drop. I wouldn't sell off mine because the market will recover even if he decides to sell his coins.

Bitcoin is special to me because it was developed not out of greed or a quest to become rich. The disappearance of Satoshi makes the coin a symbol of selflessness. I can't really predict my reaction to his appearance, let's wait and see.

Depends on the situation. If that can make the price jump to the highest price, I will sell some or perhaps half of my total Bitcoin and withdraw the money. But if nothing happens, I will not sell my Bitcoin until the time comes.

What you are assuming is very unlikely to come true because if Satoshi was extremely stupid he would be a publicist right now but if he was the least bit smart he would never reveal his identity online. If he transfers a Bitcoin from his wallet, the Bitcoin market will suddenly start to drop a lot, and in some cases, the impact will be so great that all the whales will start selling their Bitcoin in the market, and in some cases, Bitcoin will be dumped so much that people will lose all faith in Bitcoin. As far as I'm concerned, Satoshi may not be alive, and if he were alive, he would have come out in public by now.

 Why would Satoshi revealing himself make me want to sell my Bitcoin? Instead of selling, his presence, if truly he's the one would boost the price of Bitcoin to a larger amount, thus making me more profit.
 I don't trust anything that comes up on social media because virtually any body can pop as them and the way I see it, if such were to happen, it's more likely to show themselves here on the forum they created than on another platform.

Nothing would change. Bitcoin is a decentralized monetary protocol and money  it doesn’t matter who discovered or created it. It’s like asking what would happen if we found out who invented the automobile or who discovered electricity.

Bitcoin is a better form of money than fiat currencies, just like a car is better for transportation than a horse, or electricity and light bulbs are better for lighting than candles. That’s what Bitcoin is  the evolution of money.Nothing will change if we find out who discovered Bitcoin.

I have come to the conclusion that Nick Szabo is most likely Satoshi Nakamoto. Here’s why. his writing style is similar to that used in early Bitcoin messages. Also, Nick Szabo was deeply interested in the history of money and digital money long before Bitcoin was created. Additionally, he was working on developing digital money and cryptographic protocols, which aligns with the goals and ideas behind Bitcoin.

That will not be so much a good news because part of what makes bitcoin what it currently his at the moment is the fact that satoshi is not known by both enthusiast and skeptics. if he or they are still alive and very much aware of what is going on around bitcoin, they ought to have known better that their revelation will do more harm than good to bitcoin. it will make headlines certainly but after then what next? will people trust them so much to think that they are any different from the regular guys? will fame not eat into them and politician starts to loby them so as to influence what becomes of bitcoin? will they not make statement about global politics and side with certain nation and it in a way affects bitcoins reputation? these and many reason are why i still subscribe to the fact that in terms of the revelation of satoshi's identity, it is better it remain the way it is now than allowing their identity go public.

If Satoshi's Bitcoin wallet moves then he is still alive, at the time if anyone comes out to say he is the real Satoshi just base on words nobody will believe, even if he is the real person until....

1. His Bitcointalk account become active again.
2. Small BTC is been moved from his wallet.

But a question remains, why would he want to do this? It is part of his protocols to remain anonymous, because this works better with Bitcoin as it's a decentralised digital currency.

What you are assuming may not be true because surrounded by a web of mystery, it will never reveal the truth so you can't tell if he's actually an individual or a cohesive group. By the way many people may think that if this pseudonymous person reveals himself, Bitcoin might fall maybe this is right because if he reveals himself, it might weaken the fundamental foundation of Bitcoin. But the biggest thing is that if he really does return there will be a risk of a massive sell-off of Bitcoin. So if he transfers some amount of Bitcoin from his wallet, it might change the market sentiment because then the big whales will be tempted to sell, therefore in this context it can be said that, his sudden emergence into the public eye could impact Bitcoin's acceptance.

I would only freak out depending on who Satoshi is. Some guy = no freakout. A CIA operative(s) = freakout.

Same goes for the question of selling my Bitcoin. Although if nothing changes about Bitcoin itself and how it works, then no, I would probably not sell. Even if the identity of Satoshi Nakamoto was weird.
