I'm not surprised if Satoshi reveals his identity,but I'd be shocked if Bitcoin loses its relevance.There's been a surge of false claims about Satoshi Nakamoto's identity,which is concerning.Why do people fake someone else's identity for clout or personal gain?Given my experience in the crypto space, I'd be skeptical of anyone claiming to be Satoshi.Realistically,if he wanted to reveal himself, he would have done so by now.Bitcoin's uniqueness lies in its pseudonymous creator,and I think it's best left that way.

In last 15 years bitcoin community already have enough Satoshi Nakamoto now if real will came and ask for recognition most chances community will be not given him any positive response because they are already fed-up with this topic anymore.
He has already done enough for Bitcoin just because of this in last 15 years bitcoin never need anything from him his works and achievements making things impressive for common peoples, and they are enjoying their lives with this decentralized system which is having revolution in financial history.
But still if he will be around not more changes possible just because of this no one want to meet with him anymore because things will be gone on balance for long time and peoples will be remembered him by his work and name instead of face.

What makes you think that if he reveals himself here in the forum, then he is the real Satoshi? I'm very sure that in the past many people in the forum might have come out to claim to be Satoshi. The only way we can confirm here if Satoshi reveals himself is to make a post if he already have a personal account here in the forum that is verified to be his.

But I don't know why people are always talking about Satoshi revealing himself; I think this is something that is impossible and there is no need for him to reveal himself.

You just ask a question and went ahead to actually answer yourself, I clearly said that if it was this forum it might be understandable and that clearly means if the revelation was actually from his personal account, I will be stupid to believe another account parading itself as Satoshi, reason why I think it would be understandable if it is from this forum is simply because it is the only account I trust his information can be verified from and that if it falls into wrong hands the forum administrator wouldn’t allow hackers to get access to it.

Another possible way where many people will believe it is from him is signing a message from that his dormant addresses saying he published so and so information and that’s his/her identity. It is even the most believable thing because we all know only Satoshi has access to the private keys to those addresses

Satoshi Nakamoto did not code and create Bitcoin with purpose of becoming famous so it non sense to prove his identity many years after Bitcoin Genesis Block and Bitcoin has already gained massive success so far.

Altcoin founders can want to be famous like Do Kwon, Sam Bankman-Fried and many other founders but the Bitcoin founder does not have such need. Identity of Satoshi Nakamoto is a big secret and for years, people around the world have failed to find his identity.

With his well plans for privacy (always use Tor) and anonymity, and big decision of leaving forum and Bitcoin communities years ago, it's unbelievable if now and in the future Satoshi Nakamoto reappears just to show us his identity.

For me personally, the return of Satoshi will not change anything fundamentally, if we talk about my attitude towards bitcoin. But after this event, the world will no longer be the same. In any case, the appearance of Satoshi will affect the attitude of users, investors and ordinary people around the world towards bitcoin. I find it difficult to give specific forecasts, but I am sure that this will be the beginning of big changes.

I would not be afraid, but I would start to observe more closely what changes will occur in the BTC-community.

Yeah, I support that the myth should remain as it is, I've realised that being anonymous have even made people more curious to know about him at the same time getting knowledge anout how Bitcoin came into existence, it's not like there would be a crash if his true identity is finally reviewed but it would definitely cause a change to the bitcoin community which we're not even sure would either be positive or a negative one, well lots of folks who believe in Bitcoin would still remain positive on it since they already know the potential it has but some folks would be pessimistic and chicken out.

If anything, Satoshi would be just in more danger than ever due to everyone poking at him for what he did overall, and sooner or later, there may of been something done regarding him as a figure that created something like BTC...If needed.

Well, those who claimed to be Satoshi did it only so that they could get fame and attention from around the world because they know Bitcoin and Satoshi both are extremely famous and they wanted to use that opportunity to gain some attention in the middle. If the real one comes out and decides to reveal his identity, he will only have to move some of the Bitcoin from his wallet to prove that he's the real one, and this is something no other person could do despite claiming to be Satoshi, and that's why they only made a clown out of themselves.

In my opinion, if Satoshi is alive, he will barely decide to reveal his identity knowing that there are so many people and even government agencies that would not let him live a peaceful life like a normal person because he has done something that has challenged the traditional financial landscape and they aren't going to let it go that easily even though they try to show they support it, but deep down, we know they have so much hate and anger towards Bitcoin and its creator, especially the financial sectors.

No part of me is interested in knowing who Satoshi is; I just want the unsolved mystery that he has kept to remain so because there is no point in knowing who he is, or if his identity is going to help spread all the coins that he holds in his wallet.

Many will react; some might even rush to sell their coins because they feel like he’s going to dump all the coins he holds, which in turn will crash the market. But those are just speculation. Until such happen, we will never be too sure of the outcome.

Who cares?  I think most of the people who are fascinated with the story behind it haven't connected the reason for Satoshi anonymity.  It adds value to the system.  Or it did in the early days.  Satoshis anonymity is coming close to an end.  Full adoption is here.  Perfect timing, Perfect plan.  I began to worry heavily about this is 2023 with the coming age of AI.  Bitcoin is so much bigger than Satoshi at this point that it doesn't even matter.  When you drink your favorite coffee in the morning do you know who invented it?  Probably not unless you're like me and you used to be a coffee bro.  When you flip on your lights do you know or think about who invented the light bulb?  The answer is probably NO.  Most people care about the value in the product itself.  When you spend a US dollar do you think about the creator?

This has been talked about here at length and my feelings have remained the same.  Craig Wright has already revealed himself so Satoshi has already come out and done so , so what are we even talking about??!   Just kidding, Just kidding.

No, I wouldn't freak out, selling all my bitcoin would be ridiculous etc.  But here's the thing, I have absolute complete certainty that this is never going to happen.  Satoshi knew from day one that protecting his identity was vastly important to the success of bitcoin and knows revealing his identity will hurt it's progress.  I just don't see it ever happening.

I don’t really think that’s going to be possible, bitcoin have been threatened in the past, and satoshi didn’t reveal his identity, so I don’t know why you think he will be revealing his identity now. I don’t think that’s going to be possible, but if satoshi reveals his identity, as long as it doesn’t affect bitcoin in any way, then I don’t have any problem with that, am going to keep on holding and accumulating my bitcoin, but I know satoshi won’t be revealing his identity.

Hopefully if he does make a post on Bitcointalk, I am pretty sure that he is still alive. However, if its on social media, I wouldn't believe a thing unless the person shares a prove by signing a message on the address that Satoshi mined years ago.

To answer your question, I will only withraw my 50% of my Bitcoin holdings while leaving 50% and see what will be the result of the price in a few days after he revealed himself. But what are the chances that Satoshi will reveal himself?

Freaking out in excitement and with fear are two different things and I will freak out with joy to see the legend behind BTC, he must be a genius with a very high IQ and I will have only one question in my mind, why he hid himself and why he is revealing himself now. What his actions will be, if legal authorities will do anything to him. I guess not because he did not do anything wrong.

He gave million or billions of people a hope to make money to learn from decentralized network where we can get full anoynmity and the importance of distributed networks in finance with blockchain he was a finance legend in my sight and only thing that will freak me out more is that if he is even alive or dead.

I will not sell my btc and the situation will be the same for me, I won't sell and will buy more and make more profit.
